We really love our new home. The professionalism of everyone was amazing. From the salesman, loan officers, builders and maintenance. The home finishes are great and we are well contented

The solar system that they put on the house is useless. The system should have had more panels and a power wall backup battery to be functional. So I had to upgrade right after moving in. The quarry that they state as not in operation is in full operation and they crush rock every night starting and 3am and it's very noisy!

Our dishwasher screws to the side so that the rubber seal is not flush and will tear eventually. The screws are not mounted at the top like most dishwashers bc they skimped out on plywood underneath the kitchen counter. We went around in circles for weeks with GE and KHOV about this until that was discovered to be the root cause. Frustrating. Also, the shower in the primary doesn’t contain the water and splashes out. Was told this was the design and they weren’t going to fix it. They point to the model home as the justification which just shows all the homes have the same problem. Also, there’s a hole on the sides of the garage to let in dust and insects, but again, they point to the model home for justification instead of fixing the issue. Be prepared to defend yourself and then be disappointed bc that’s just the way KHOV builds (pointing fingers to the model home, sales pointing at post sale warranty repairs after they get their commission - true sales people over here). ... My homebuying experience with K. Hovnanian had several challenges. I haven’t been in my home for six months yet and have already had to replace the refrigerator water filter. I also had to repeatedly request repairs for my A/C, which was not properly installed, along with issues involving the smoke detectors and garage door. I would have preferred ceiling fans in all rooms, as that is an added expense now. There are also some community concerns—the Cloverdale entry sign could be improved, and the exit gate design is problematic. It opens in a way that can potentially hit your vehicle when you pull forward for it to open. All in all, it is a beautiful home, and I am beyond grateful—just hopeful that these concerns can be addressed and improved for future homeowners. ... More

Buying this home was so smooth. Not one hiccup from contract to settlement. KHov has been great to work with. The homes have a one year warranty and I have had zero issues with the warranty process/department.

Finance options appear to be limited to Hovnanian's choice of lender for any builder incentives. Notwithstanding that, one could probably accept those terms if the person we dealt with in your Florida financing loan consideration office did not give us the impression that we were inconveniencing him and was totally indifferent and quite obnoxious. The on site sales person (David) was quite the gentleman and very helpful from all aspects. Since moving in Keith, the on site construction manager, and Chris the warranty individual, have been very accommodating and very responsive. Had it not been for the financing consideration disappointment the rating would have been excellent. We looked for months for a new build home and choose K HOV in Justin, Tx. Its been the best experience and they have exceeded all expections. If oyu are looking for a new home, anywhere, seach out K Hov. They are amazing, before, during and AFter the sale.

Our entire experience with K. Hovanian has been a disappointment. We used K. Hovanian as our lender which was our first mistake. The incompetence of their lending department was breathtaking. It was hard hard to comprehend that this company could make so many errors and cause so much confusion. After we finally moved in, it turned out K. Hov installed a defective sump pump was lend to one inch of water in the crawlspace within 30 days of moving in. It took K. Hov three and one-half weeks to ensure all the water was gone, remove the mold and remediate the crawlspace. What a nightmare. Our present issue is that the sod laid is clearly substandard as evidenced by all the houses around us. I have requested that someone from K. Hov come and inspect our almost dead sod only to be told that it is not their responsibility to replace sod that is almost dead. We have been in the house three months, and are not looking forward to our next issue that probably will not be resolved. I would not recommend K. Hov to anyone. ... More

I purchased a K Hov home in 1999 in Tuxedo, NY. We loved it there and quality was great. We have been here almost 3 months. The mortgage experience was horrific then they declined us and threatened to keep my $40,000. This caused me severe stress and anxiety. We were approved by another company. I have a two page list of items that need attention but honestly the workmanship is so poor I am afraid to have them do the repairs. Cracked tile in master bath, shower leaks, all doors are rough and need painting same with all walls. Kitchen cabinets need touch ups, brick outside missing paint in areas, gutters dented, pillars need sanding and painting, entry to front door all bubbled needs sanding and painting, tiles need caulking, tech package was never installed and the electrician that came at a later date was sloppy and made a big mess. There is so much more on my two page list. Our sales person was transferred to another location in the middle of our purchase so that was very difficult. I love my new home! It’s just the right size for me, and my neighbors are wonderful.

We had an excellent experience with April during the home buying process—she was professional, supportive, and truly made the purchasing experience smooth. Troy has also been outstanding, consistently responsive, helpful, and quick to address questions and issues that came up after move-in. On the other hand, the lending experience with Christine Yaralli and her supervisor Kevin Clark was one of the most difficult parts of the entire process. The coordination was highly cumbersome, with multiple significant errors, including a major $5,000 misallocation related to HOA charges. Despite repeated discussions, this issue remains unresolved even four months after closing. What has been particularly frustrating is the expectation that we invest additional time to correct and reprocess loan documentation to fix internal errors. This is not what one expects after a completed closing, especially when financing was already pre-approved through other channels. The HOA-related handling has also been disappointing, and several neighbors have expressed similar concerns regarding consistency and responsiveness. In hindsight, I would have strongly preferred proceeding with my originally approved lender. Overall, while the sales and post-sale support from April and Troy were excellent, the lending and HOA experience significantly detracted from what should have been a smooth transition into a K. I reported the patio issue, where there is a crack crossing the entire patio and there also a crack across my neighbor’s patio. The two cracks are connected, showing that this is the structural problem. What is not acceptable is that they said this is just surface fissure. AND NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.JUST PASSING THE BUCK. Would you accept that you paid for a brand new house and this is how they handle it!

The entire experience was a pleasure from start to finish. A great sales and service team.

The inspection process needs to improve before the home was handed off to me. However, the warranty process is very good and Kristi, in warranty, is excellent. We also felt that our sales rep, Amanda, was great. With improvement in the inspection process, I would have given a 5-star review.

So far, we have only had one issue that was resolved quickly. We are working with the builder on the completion of the initial landscaping, and they have agreed to work with us on the timeframe as we have some independent work being completed prior to the landscaping.

The ease in which the whole Hovnanian Homes home buying experience was pretty incredible. Every aspect was seamless from sales, financing, insurance, construction, inspection, walk-through up to and including closing.

Brenden, Mark and Ryan have been exceptional. extremely helpful through out the process and continue to be such.

Working with Jose and Aetna and the whole financial process of the deal went very smooth and easy to understand all the task to get approved

Construction manager, Collins, doesn't respond to text on lines of property and Fence removal. Three warranty request were paused by Mike, no follow if I don't have immediate date to come to my home by one person. The request was for water, cooling, floor leveling, and GIF not working on all my bathroom.

We had a great experience with Vicky helping us and staying on top what needed to be done. Very helpful with the whole process!

Though our salesperson was extremely kind and helpful, the quality of KHOV was not all that I thought it would be. There is paint all over the laminate floors. I should not be responsible for cleaning up paint off floors or drywall even. You can see marks of pencil where they were suppose to line up cabinets. Some kitchen cabinets have gaps. One thing I did not notice, is that these homes came with NO towel bars in ANY bathroom! I thought something like that would be standard as the model did have towel bars. I did not think to question if this would be included? The door of my laundry room is not correctly aligned and has dropped. It has made it difficult to close the two laundry doors since one as is slightly dragged. At this point is was almost better to purchase a DR Horton vs a KHOV. ... More
