Rushed to finished construction, used third grade materials

I truly love my home. The location is beautiful and my kids are enjoying the nature around the neighborhood

Overall the construction process lacked independent quality control. Warrenty manager is trying to respond but does not have any staff hence no schedule of completion existed or provided. The local head of sales and construction lack courtesy to return calls and has been non-responsive. The house was not prepared at the closing and major Items of punch list at walk-thru provided prior to closing is still outstanding after 90-days we are in the house. I provided ample opportunity to them to complete the list but no luck. Cabinets in the kitchen are falling apart and not soft closing. Cabinets below the main counter has loose parts and no one can answer from KHOV when they will be corrected. Windows are below norm. One window is different than all others. Bugs are crawling from the window gaps such that we have to purchase an indoor bug-zapper that runs whole night. My wife and I are Seniors past 70 Yrs and did not expect such treatment from any builder. We have kept enough patience and I hope you send this review to a right individuals at KHOV that can help us soon by expediting the resolution of our problems. We recently moved into our new home and our experience with Khov has been wonderful. Tara, Alex and Tony have been great to work with. Very attentive to our needs and professional on every level. We have built our forever dream home. After a long day at work, it's nice to come home to a beautiful home!

Carleen has gone above and beyond. As a sales person her job was done long ago. Even though I have closed months ago she still checks in with me. Chris has been my contact since closing. The follow up on the minor things I reached out for has been amazing. Always gets back to me immediately with answers. Again everyone have dealt with at KHov goes above and beyond

We were not pleased by the lack of options that she could put in the house. Many items that we would’ve liked to put in here, but we’re not offered. The overall timeframe from contract signing to moving in was quite long; much longer than we expected. I know some of that had to do with material shortages inspection issues and some lack of subcontractors. The above items cost us at least three months if not more and the whole process. Jackie and Adriana made the buying process fairly easy and we’re quite responsive to any questions we had during the build it even after we settled and we’re always there for us and still are to this day. Gennaro, our project manager was amazing always communicating always honest with us and got us in on time. Very sad to hear that. He’s no longer with your company as he was a huge asset. I will say that we are getting ready to submit a couple warranty issues and I am extremely concerned from what I’m seeing on Facebook, Liberty Hill site and what I’m hearing from other homeowners who still have outstanding items from closing and warranty items that they haven’t heard from people in weeks if not months. Good experience overall. One comment is that I would not rush the process and take your time. Even more than usual.

It has been a good experience. We have had some issues we’ve had to address but most have been taken care of. We would buy from Hovnanian again.

I moved in 3 months ago, my kitchen sink that I picked out is still not in. My drip system is still full of dirt. My counter top was bowed, they replaced my counter top with another one that is also bowed. At this point can I just have granite counters as a "sorry you paid over $430,000 3 months ago and haven't got what you paid for!"

Many open items (some significant) at closing; HoSvc department has been and remains very slow to close same itesm, and now new service requests. Rear and side yards were not properly seeded and will likely not germinate in time for the temporary CO expiration in april 2023. Solution = sod??

Lisa is a terrific sales person to deal with. Scott was a good building foreman that did a great job coordinating the build process and was really good at addressing the last minute touch up issues. Even after closing he was responsive to issues that needed his attention.

I would buy from KHov again.

Overall buying experience is great but as we stayed in the home, issues start coming out one by one. More problems surfaced, while the staff and home warranty team had been doing great so far, this could have been averted if things were not made in rush that quite a number of worksmanship issues surfaced. Pulling overall home quality down.

Love our house and the community. Property managers are very responsive and helpful with any issue, such as window was recently replaced and the coordination and communication is excellent.

We were told the house would be completed in eight months. It actually took a year. When we arrived to do the final walk through there was no lock on the front door. The construction manager wasn’t aware that we were supposed to be closing that day and showed up an hour late after we called the sales manager to find him. The house still needed to be inspected. They pushed back closing a few hours to fix all the issues the inspector found. We were able to close. We have been spending the last two months fixing issues that we told the construction manager about at least three months before closing. ... More

We really want to thank Alex and Tony for the phenomenal job they have done responding to concerns and ensuring the quality of our construction. We challenged them to build a phenomenal home, and they delivered. Whenever an issue has arose, they have been more than responsive and concerned about the work after it was completed. On a number of occasions they will individually ask you about concerns and resolve them as soon as possible. We likely would not have gotten through closing without their expertise and dedication. My experience was great from the beginning to closing. You have an awesome team. Thank you.

My experience with the sales consultant was fantastic. Dennis was great, responsive and took on more than he probably should’ve when our Project managers went MIA. The areas we marked to be touched up were not in the house. The dry wall patch work was bad. There’s was dry grout all over our guest bathroom tile. There is mortar and boot prints in our sidewalk. The landscape job was patchy with dead shrubs installed and pine straw scattered all over our yard. Wouldn’t recommend a Khov home to anyone.

It took 2 months longer to close that we anticipated.

Great experience. They are very nice and helpful people. Communication was very good. The whole process went smoothly.

We purchased a home and process started fine but disappointed in craftsmanship and responsiveness. They took some shortcuts and it is evident in certain areas. As we submit the warranty items it takes a long time to get items addressed if they even do address them at all.

Good experience overall. Closing date was changed twice. Only one issue. Bedroom suite door would stick. Original service date to correct was moved after service did not show up on the scheduled date.

The entire process from purchasing the lot, to choosing the model design, to choosing of options, to the financial aspects, to moving in, to follow up with any issues has been very good. All the contact people have been very nice, professional and helpful throughout the entire process!!
