Overall experience was okay the sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the construction personnel tried their best and were responsive to problems

Since we decided to buy this condo, it had been a nightmare to us. The homeowner warranty is a joke. We have 3 times carbon monoxide leaked due to HAVC. Every time we had to evacuate us, call 911, turned off the heat, and spend our time to call out from work and wait for they came to fixed. Even the hotel reimbursement, it took them a month (originally they told me 2-3 months) to give us the reimburse. I have to spend my time to constantly contact with them, the home warranty director, most of time I didn’t get the response. I also requested to change a brand new HAVC, because they admitted they installed incorrectly caused carbon monoxide leaked, and their home warranty manager said no. How rediculous it is. Their mistake could kill us, and k. Hovnanian home warranty won’t give us a new HAVC reimburse. So far, we still constantly hear pipes rattling sound between walls. We had an amazing experience thanks to Elliot our construction Manager and his assistant. They answered all our questions and help us with our dream home . Elliot made this experience very pleasant.

Home buying experience was great, however quality of some of the material used especially cabinets etc is below average quality. The team was pretty good in responding to questions and is helping fix and resolve issues under the warranty

Moved in November had multiple issues that warranty has still yet to correct. Builder is not responsive!

When you sign, they have a clause that says you can’t talk negatively about khov. That should tell you everything you need to know. I have so many issue with my house that khov won’t fix. Gabe/Anthony (project managers) allows such horrible craftsmanship to get by. Josh (warranty) doesn’t want to fix issues. You have a 40% show up rate for when they do schedule people. But they are always unprepared, so it takes 3 months for you to have a shower working. They damaged my walls when they fixed another issue, but won’t fix the wall that is damaged. Allison (sales) lies every conversation I’ve had with her. Amy (design center) gouges you on price. No one at khov wants you to have a nice house. That’s such a bizarre position to have as a home builder. But they are very quick to tell you how much customer satisfaction means to them, unless you need something. Then they won’t help. Issues: Exterior doors are not water tight. Broken countertop Grout doesn’t match Drywall/paint did no prep work, so you can see every seem and tons of nail pops and cracks. EVERY baseboard needs to be replaced. House interior was painted in a non washable paint. Needs to re textured and painted. Air conditioner is broken and doesn’t work on the main floor. I went all winter without heating. Water pressure is bad Paint/caulk is packed into my carpet Missing drywall on my stairs Wiring issues Doorbell makes a horrible grinding noise Bathroom Ceiling fans are weak and installed poorly. Tile has large variances causing tripping They forgot to install pendant lights Neighbor had the same garage frequency so their opener would open my garage too. Overall value for money without a doubt and great mortgage and sales experience but kitchen cabinets and craftsmanship is sub par. Overall it’s still value for money!

Our unit was delivered late due to multiple issues over the year e.g. getting the utilities run to the complex and bad weather. We love our new home but had issues with cleanliness, paint all over the floors, error in undercabinet lighting, and flooring workmanship. The team we worked directly with were/are responsive and it seems we are working through all the issues. We closed on Oct 30, 2022 and it is now Feb 7, 2023 with issues still pending. One issue is pretty big and requires the subflooring to be removed and a beam shaved down.

Worst home buying experience I've ever had in my life.

The homes here are beautiful, built strong and with great craftsmanship! It’s in a pretty quiet area of Angleton TX with pretty paved walking paths around sparkling ponds and has a great playground for the kids. The home buying process is one of no pressure and continuity from all the moving parts. There Sales Agent Veronica is the most welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful sales agent you’ll ever get the opportunity to work with, from loan options to design options and building updates she makes sure your taken care of throughout the entire process, she’s a true professional in her field and makes your feel at home from day one. Since I moved in 3 months ago I have had two leaks in the bathroom Doors knobs are falling apart leaks coming from the blinds I am not happy even though issues there fixed this is a brand new build I should not be having theses issues especially for the price of the home and the company that build it

We had a good experience with Carl, he was very detailed oriented and explained everything to us.

Really poor communication. Very late to meeting. Home not completed with far too many mistakes I corrected. There was blood on the kitchen cabinets and stairway after final walk through when we picked up our keys. Got our kitchen lights 3 months after purchase after we followed up weekly never from them.

Thanks for this nice wonderful house. I would like to give you 5 stars. But as I didn’t get the mesh cover at my kitchen window (although i asked in Nov 2022) it has minus 1star. Thanks

The person/company has a great vision when they designed this community! Overall I am happy with this location. It is right on the golf course. The homes fit perfectly right next to it. I like the idea of not being charged for every detail. Khov already had the design in place and I just had to pick the color scheme. This makes the buying process much better!

Poor Construction Quality & Slow in Resolving issues. I will not recommend any of my friends to buy the property with khovnanian homes.

Contacted the warranty department several times and there is no response to solve the issues we are facing in our newly constructed home.

We have never felt so let down and lied to by any business as we have with KHOV. The lack of communication, false promises and follow through with the builders and the absolute worst finish work I have ever seen contributed to a very stressful and anxiety ridden home buyer experience. They tell you what they want you to hear, not what will actually happen. BUYER BEWARE!!

My overall experience was good

The layout and features are decent for the money. You get a radiant barrier in the attic, nice solid doors, and all the drywall corners are nice and rounded. Workmanship and responsiveness to issues leaves a lot to be desired though. For example different brands and colors of switches were used throughout the house. The tile is uneven with paint peeling off the edges. There are doors that have too wide of a gap at the bottom and don't latch. Outdoor grass is lumpy. It's a hassle to get them out to fix these sorts of things too and expect it to take weeks if not months.

starting prices in no way match the model home you are shown. Once you buy and then start the selection process you find out that all the things you liked about the model are upgrades. Choices for standards are way outdated. Before closing you have a 3 hour window to walk through the your home and point out any problems. You can't possibly do this in 3 hours and on top of that we shouldn't have to because all we hear about is the quality workmanship that is put into these homes. We found several items that were problems that should have never been allowed to pass any inspections. Once closed you have 10 days to point out any other cosmetic problems. If any are found after that 10 day window they are now the homeowner responsibility. We have been very frustrated with this builder and would have a hard time recommending. ... More
