Overall I am very happy with my home. The construction process was generally smooth, although at times it felt like other homes were moving at a much faster pace. For example, nearly every home on the street had windows but mine sat for about 2 months with no windows. The construction manager of my build changed several times but that didn't seem to really slow things down. My biggest complaint is that I felt very pressured into using the in house lender. I ultimately went with an outside lender but I had to jump through hoops to do it. Not only was the in house lender at a much higher rate, they wouldn't lock without me paying upfront, non refundable fees that didn't get credited at closing. Also, the in house lender almost never reached out to me to discuss options. I constantly had to reach out. It never seemed like she was looking out for me - the borrower - which she should have been. The $7500 credit incentive didn't make up for all those things. ... More

My wife and I discover this community earlier this year and we loved their model houses. It only took one visit, and we decided the type of the home that we wanted because the Khovnanian homes were bigger with extra rooms compared to all the other houses that we visited before. Our sales consultant Reggie was extremely helpful during the whole process, and responded to our questions and concerns everytime, even on his days off. Now, we live in our new house for a month already and the whole family loves it. Our loft is spacious and that's where we spend most of family time ans activities. home buying experience with Khov is very easy and smooth. we have bought a khov home before this and we are satisfied as before with out experience.

Overall it was fine but closing experience was bad as no one called the day of closing & also the key handover experience was pathetic . The initial sales cycle was great but didn’t feel the same enthusiasm during Golden key handover & felt like we were just ignored after closing.

We had a really good experience on the sales side of things, and a good experience on the construction side. UNTIL we decided not to use the preferred lender (because they weren’t able to match other’s rates), then everything went south. Communication drop off and didn’t finish anything from the final week walkthrough until the move in date. After move in, took 3 weeks to just get our outlet covers in the kitchen fastened to the wall. Felt like construction just left a lot of their mess for warranty and it’s not warranty’s fault.

We were originally told our home would take 5-8 months. It took 15. That in itself was bad information but things happen. The most impactful and memorable experience was the lack of communication. We had no idea what was going on and always had to be the ones to reach out for information. When we finally did get some communication it was always initiated by our salesperson not the construction manager. There were too many delays. I would never recommend building a house using KHov.

We are 1st time homebuyers and Russell was great to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the homebuilt program we used and he kept us up to date with all stages of the building. I will definitely recommend KHov to family and friends. Our home is beautiful.

The people involved with the process were Excellent, I am disappointed with the craftsmanship of the materials we chose K Hov because of the excellent reputation but the products and materials used I felt could of been better.

The house we purchased was build almost perfect. The design is very good for the price we paid for for it. My only complain is why is the garage door opener(motor) is optional. Other than this, I’m happy with you guys. TY

Several issues we are not very happy with: - Windows, while having issues with the locks we were told if you leave the windows open for several hours you might have problems with the plastic locks. They will shift and get out of shape. We have lots of windows and in good weather we like to have them open. Never had this issue with good quality windows in any of my homes. So we have windows that we can look out of, but if you open them don’t expect the locks to work! Maybe you need to find a different supplier. -We have a home on the river, what we were told we could do by the river and what we are learning are very different. This probably would have made us make a different decision. -Electrical wiring, as a home workman with power tools, I just found out the garage is only provided with 15amp circuits. Most table saws etc need 20 amp. This may have been an option that I didn’t notice, but I have never seen this. This should be emphasized to new buyers as an option. Another example of cutting corners. Really how much would that have cost you, maybe $50 in materials, no difference in labor cost. -After being in the home now 30 days I continually see defects that I have not brought up, many minor, walls that are not square or plumb, paint issues that I should have mentioned, but to the point I want to make is using subcontractors is a very mixed bag, some are good, but after seeing how they perform I would say for the most part most just don’t care about their workmanship. -Bathrooms, you install towel bars but no hand towel bars. Just an example of how we feel you cut every corner $$$ wise. -We recently had our ceiling repaired in the kitchen/family room area. Your team was quick to respond and get people here to try to eliminate the issue with very visible drywall Seams in the ceiling. I was told it would never be perfect. I was told by another person who looked at a large area in our basement and he said he would expect the repair would be as good as that room. It’s NOT! The subcontractor tried one quick fix on a small area last Friday and it’s not any better. The room overall is improved but there are still two seams full length of room that are not good. They were here on the 21st, it’s now the 25th and no one has followed up. Am I happy???? -Annoyance- while part of house is natural gas, and we opted for a gas stove and fireplace and the water heater is gas (No option). We wanted a gas line for the clothes dryer, not an option. Our home floor plan to distance is about 3 feet! We called 3 different certified plumbers and they quoted $2200 to $2900. Not Hovanians fault, but here again pinching the penny it’s cheaper to run a electrical line than a gas line, even though it’s widely known gas dryers are cheaper to operate and more efficient. -Would I recommend your homes to someone else? Only if they fully investigated the market and were made aware of some of the issues I mentioned, and definitely hire an independent inspector to not only inspect the home while being built but to survey the plans and discuss with the buyer. We have incomplete projects — we have been in our house more than 5 weeks. Lawn is very uneven—difficult to walk on. Mowing will be difficult. Most important, the deadbolt is misaligned and can’t be used—a safety issue. I also felt the workers were careless—drywall paste left on concrete and a few raised “bumps “ in the basement area.

Marianna was awesome from the very beginning throughout the entire journey. She gave us the confidence we could do this when I kept thinking we can’t. I appreciate her for believing in us. I can’t say enough about the entire KHOV team. From my builder Sparky making everything happen to the financial folks ensuring my records were straight for submission. I appreciate you all Jamie and Jessica. I can’t leave out Odalys. Thank you all!

The excellent and quick service from everyone, but especially from Jeremy the project manager was to another level I really appreciate the way he took care of us, thanks again.

Workmanship has been disappointing with the drywall and painting

The house was move in ready but there was a lot discrepancies that needed to be addressed. I felt unprepared when I moved in. It’s an information overload but also there is information that is never given. I was given answered to my questions in the moment only to find out they were wrong answers and made me feel lied to. The warranty person has been great. When I do have tickets they are handled immediately or I get a call immediately that it will be handled. I wish the builders took more care before we moved in so I didn’t have strangers in my house for warranty. It’s a huge stressor to me to find someone who can be here for it, or take time off to be home fortunately our warranty agent usually plans it all for the same day. Is it possible that if the builders took more caution it would have been done prior too. Some information I asked for the builders refused to give me. Information on what my electrical is rated and where the wires are were denied to me which is crazy because as I improve my house I don’t know what or where my electrical is. They also aren’t sure what the inside paint colors are for doors and baseboards. I would of liked all this in my email or printed information. The warranty agent has been very helpful, but I wish the builders either had more time, been more aware of the trades and their workmanship so I wouldn’t have to call warranty always. This was our 2nd new build home and this time it was taking place between the craziest time in the housing market (supply chain issues, rate increases, inflationary) but the team at K Hovanian did an outstanding job communicating and being a great resource. They have an excellent team of sales, builder and warranty folks at their disposal that made the experience seamless. Their contract was fair, the value was excellent and their technology was unmatched. Best buying experience. Would buy again!!

Quality home with a good team to get it built and this sales team were extremely supportive to the buyer on tough times and rising interest rates.

We had a great experience building our first new home with KHov. Specifically our construction manager, Nathan D., went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied and all issues were resolved. Overall it has been a great experience!

Commited to purchase the house at very intial stages of construction in October 2021 and moved in 10 months later, over the span of 10 months had multiple interactions with the sales team . Kim, Joe and Joann have been response and acted on our requests along side being available any queries we had . The community stands up to the Builders reputation . Sales and Support have been very responsive to address concerns and issues .

The people who work here are exceptionally knowledgeable and nice to work with. Our experience has been a good one.

Aside from having a wonderful realtor, this process could not have gone as smoothly as it did without the help of Ashley and Scott. At various points of the process from me expressing interest, to walking the home for inspections, and through closing, they remained available and helpful. My new home checks all of the boxes on my wishlist, and then some!

Quality ok. Many small issues are needed to correct. Master bathroom too small not good flows. Lacks of added amenities. Does not offer other add ons such as sprinklers, extended patio, guitters, back yard lawn etc.

This is my first home purchase and our sales representative, Ashley was amazing. She really made the process as easy and painless as possible. My only grief is that there was multiple damages to the wood floors and overspill in many areas. Thankfully, they were quick to respond to repair these issues.

They are great people to work with, Very easy going we Enjoyed working with them. They go out of their way to help you. Thank you
