To many items need to be fixed.

Nicholas, I feel very elated about the process from the initial signing to the final move in was very great. The quality of materials used is also commensurate with the value of their houses / homes. The builders team were always on top of things, they did exactly what they promised and also responds to issues even after move in, in a timely manner. I would encourage home buyers to know that KHOVANIAN homes have great sales persons and project managers who are willing to do anything within their capacity to help you get all need in your future home. I really had a great experience with KHOV.

Joe and James are great individuals. They're truly professionals and both made our experience great. Joe was amazing and was there every step of the way. James was extremely helpful once house was frame until now he still ask if we have any issues or concerns. This was an amazing experience!!!

My purchase of kHov home was easy and enjoyable! Neesha guided me through every step and encouraged me throughout. She and Claire provided invaluable advise and guidance. The construction team of Kevin, Joe and Austin bent over backwards to deliver a fabulous product. Overall, I can’t think of anything throughout this entire process that wasn’t first class!

Our experience with the Sales Rep Brian and the Mortgage Account Manager Shannon was awesome! They worked hard to make sure everything and made every effort to ensure our lending process ran smoothly. As for the quality of work on the home, it appears that the home was built in a rush to complete the closing process. There were misaligned doors, paint issues, flooring issues and even cabinet issues. I was disappointed with some of the sloppiness we saw after we started moving in. Then to get the contractors in to fix the issues is ridiculous. I would have rather waited a little longer so they could get the job done better than to have to deal with the headache of waiting for things to be fixed after the fact. ... More

We had the best homebuying experience with KHov. They kept their word every step of the way from signing the contract to closing. We have recommended KHov to anybody that will listen! This home is beyond what we could have ever expected.

The entire team at KHOV is professional and attentive to detail. Our sales representative Bill Bergin walked us through the process and was always a step ahead to notify us as the process moved forward. Our foreman Jimmy was awesome and Phil, our warrantee supervisor is amazing as well. Hats off to the entire team!

Quality of the finish work was not up to par for what I paid for the property. Very poor and sloppy I had a list of 38 items that needed to be fixed the day after I closed on my brand new home. I'm very thankful for my for my construction supervisor Gennaro who has continued to help resolve some of the issues. My sales representative Jackie was great as well

Superintendents were always on top of their game. Ben is a credit to your organization very attentive and helpful and made the home building experience bearable.

Great place to buy a home the staff was great and the construction manager was outstanding. I am recommending this place to all my friends and family.

If it wasn’t for Matthew, his hard work and attention on this project, I would have canceled after waiting OVER A YEAR to get my house. Everything moved faster once he arrived and I wish he was in charge of our building from the beginning. He is always available and doing his best to satisfy everyone. KHov should have more like him.

I really did not enjoy this process. Sales rep told us the "delete arches" was to remove the indented areas on walls where art is hung. We paid extra for that. At the initial construction meeting they told us no, that is for the arch's in the kitchen instead of squared off entries. Sales rep told us that is a structural change and we couldn't change it, even though it was her mistake. I don't know how that is structural, but okay. Overall, I felt like it was me against everyone. I had to fight my battles with the construction guys besides maybe 2 or 3 calls from sales rep asking if there is anything she needs to address prior to the Monday construction meeting. I should of hired an inspector from day one that inspected every step of the home. They told me there is a 3rd party inspector, but there is probably a conflict of interest there. I hired my own inspector and he found a ton of issues that weren't noted by the inspector. Ceiling joist were spread too far apart I'm thinking 19.5 and s/b 16. Support beam in master was a 2x8 instead of 2x12. Windows were not taped properly, some windows had siding and framing put on without tape. I was told they fixed it, they just taped over the siding and put framing back on. Inspector had to take the framing off to show it was taped wrong. They eventually fixed it after leaving it uncovered for weeks. In addition the black home wrap was ripped and it was just covered up with the framing around the windows, it was finally fixed. I had a floor plug in my living room, that after the foundation was poured, was not there. I asked about it and was told that it is just under the service so they could chip out the concrete. I told them I don't want them drilling into the foundation so if you don't find it then forget about it, long story short, they couldn't find it, so they drilled out the foundation and hit a post tension cable. Engineering company had to be called in to brace it and the foundation was filled. They found the floor outlet eventually. I may be missing some things but overall the construction process was a bad experience, I'm sure for both parties because I was constantly pointing things out. A big problem I had was I feel like I wasn't taken seriously until I brought in an inspector. I would meet with the construction manager and we would go over things, he wouldn't write one word down. It wasn't until I started putting things in emails that things started getting addressed. We eventually met with the builder, inspector, and myself. There was definitely some tension and the builder did not like that the inspector was pointing out mistakes. I have a gas line and electricity that could have gone along my fence line, but instead they ran it in the backyard that limits what I can use the area for. When I mentioned I bought the premium lot cause we wanted to do a pool, I was told there still plenty of room to do whatever I want. The gas runs a foot off the side of the house and straight back to the back fence. I don't know that this is a KHOV issue, but maybe it is. That leads into the trust factor. Before I brought in an inspector, I was told how great everything is going and was assured everything was done right, and I didn't know cause I'm not a home builder. My inspector came in and started showing me things that were done wrong and I felt like I couldn't trust anyone anymore, so I questioned everything. My biggest regret was not having an inspector day 1, he came in after framing started. He is a construction manager for another home builder and there were some things that he was stunned by the lack of quality for the cost of the home. After move in, everything has been good except some A/C issues. They had to replace the compressor on my A/C cause it wasn't working during the peak 100 degree whether, it got hot, but that isn't KHOVs fault. The A/C people have come out a few more times, KHOV team was great in getting A/C out for us. The front of our house is always 3 degrees warmer than the rest of the house, but that is apparently within what it should be. Even though the thermostat is on 73 at 4 A.M the front bedroom is still 76 and this is a single story 2200 square foot house. For the most part, everyone has been great after the move in. Only issues was some paint splatted on the floor that I asked the best way to remove, I was told not to worry and they would send someone to clean it up. It took over a month to finally get it done, which is why I'm finally writing this review. I understand people are busy so this isn't an issue. I'll add that I know the inspector was pointing out every issue he could find about everything. There were more things that I discussed with him that I told him were not a big deal. Maybe some of the things that we did press on were normal and just part of the process. I hated the experience, it was very stressful. I do enjoy the fact that I feel like I got a home a cut above the others because I had the inspector. Some days I think I would never do this again, but other times I think that I would just do it different. ... More

The sales person Todd Brewer is great and impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness. The construction manager Jeff is also vey easy to deal with. But the person, John, who led us for the Walkthrough was not much of a professional guy. He does not like to give answer to our questions. He behaves as if "I am gonna read these things that I prepared to read, you just shut up, and listen, and get done with it." I do not know how to deal with this person for the entire time of warranty. Unfortunately for me, he is THE contact person if anything happens during the warranty period. Sad!

K Hovananian homes are in a class way better than other builders. Professional customer service throughout the whole process of the build. K Hovananian homes are manufactured with tons of superb craftsmanship. After the closing date customer service is what matters the most to a home buyer. I would definitely recommend K Hovananian homes to any serious buyer.

By far the best buying experience we've ever had, so much so that we even referred my sister who also bought a house in the same subdivision! I cannot speak highly enough for Susan, our sales agent, Alan and Roger who helped with the construction. The house is very sound, quiet, the experience was a breeze, and the overall enthusiasm from the team was great. Everyone that has seen our home has had nothing but praises, and we could not be happier. However, I do have 1 complaint, and that is with the finishing and use of finishing materials. Towards the end, all of the touch up work, finishing, trim, paint were clearly very rushed. The quality of workmanship is extremely poor with lots of areas needing touch ups, broken/chipped tiles, one of the stair railings shaking a lot, almost noen of the spindles are flush with the base of the stairs leaving a significant gap, and almost every single piece of trim/moulding is damaged with dents and defects throughout the house (framing around doors, baseboards, etc). I understand builders grade material is used for these types of construction homes but the defects should have been patched, sanded, and then painted rather than just covered up with paint. We've found the same issue on the exterior of the house as well Although these are just cosmetic issues, they really take away from the "polished" look we would expect for a new home. I will include all of these on my 45 day list of items that need to be revisited/fixed. Overall, my family and I love our house and think this may be our forever home - I would specifically like to recognize the team we worked with, Susan, Alan, and Roger at Town Creek Crossing who were just incredible! ... I did not get good service from the builder, quality of construction is not that great for the price I paid.

it took a long time to get to settlement, but the unit is everything we wanted........

Sales was awesome, the communication from the builder was great the entire time. There were more items needing fixed or finished than I would have liked come closing day. A few of them still not complete a month after closing. I enjoyed working with all of their people during the process, I'd just be much more inclined to rate higher if the last few repairs would be complete at a much faster pace.
