We found that every facet of the purchasing and settlement process was extremely well done and professional. Despite KHov being a national builder, the journey felt close to home and had a home town feel.. Our one relatively significant community concern was the sod/irrigation system which thankfully has been satisfactorily addressed, however, the communication for this item could have been somewhat more open and fluid. Other than that, we are living the dream in our little “bedroom” by the beach community!

A nightmare everything was delayed and communication was mediocre

Did not go as well as planned but the major issues were with the Mortgage company. Way to many issues to list but it was an absolutely horrible experience. Some issues with the building process but that went pretty well and we settled on time. Mistakes were corrected and some had to do with supply chain issues.

The purchase of my very first home through this Builder was my worst life experience ever. I should have bought from Pulte, but could not get myself to part ways with this Builder's community's location, which I love. I still get nervous opening the door to the laundry room because all the machines together in the open like this look scary. I was also required to purchase a washer dryer for my condo, which was a nightmare of sorts. This too is another reason I physically get nervous opening the laundry room door to my very own home. The workmanship is horrible, and this condo is no longer a home I can imagine myself spending a decade in :( The move-in process was excruciatingly painful. I can't imagine what it will be like upon move-out when I actually have furniture :( I don't wish this experience upon my worst enemy, though I hope each and every person I encountered through this miserable process one day is on the other side to experience exactly what I did. ... Horrible home warranty, reminds me of notorious American Home Shield. Very poor craftsmanship. Their mortgage missed informed about interest locking time duration. Would conceal information about some important things such as this community has PUD which was never disclosed until we were about to close!

Home is lovely ; although a little tight on closets and the garage is way too small

As a first time homebuyer, KHov made the experience pleasant and seamless. Mike was very responsive even after the purchase was completed. They made the experience feel personalized. I would definitely consider purchasing from this builder again.

We closed on our 'dream home' with Khov in May of 2022. We waited over a year and a half for the home to be completed. We were sold on the idea of a custom home delivery, with craftsman who take pride in their work and deliver a top notch product. What we received was a nightmare. I've now converted into what feels like a full time construction project manager. The VP of operations for Khov got involved months ago and assured me he would personally make things right. Unfortunately, no progress has been made. We have serious safety concerns yet to be addressed that include electrical issues, exterior doors that do not function properly and a broken truss in our attic that was knowingly installed without appropriate guidance and sign-off of a structural engineer. We're now nearly 4 months in to what is a 12 month warranty period with no real progress. I've scheduled time away from work to accommodate repairs only to have the the people who are scheduled to do the work not show up. This process has been immensely stressful on my family and we could not be more disappointed in the experience we've had with Khov thus far. The only positive experience was with our sales person and construction manager throughout the build process. Our entire experience from the initial meeting , to the purchase, to our closing was extremely smooth. Beautiful home for a very reasonable price. Every person involved in our home was professional, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in meeting our needs and expectations. To Dennis ,Kenny ,Preston and all the workers involved in our home we thank you.

I bought my house from K Hovnanian in 7/2022. The process was easy and swift. Although a few minor paint and scuff flaws, the foundation of the house seems it was built to last. Sales and builder agents are responsive and helpful.

The KHovanian team made my first experience a wonderful experience. I will most definitely refer my friends and family if they're in the market to build. Thanks KHovanian

Personally, I went with Khov because I did not want to get in a “bidding war” with a pre owned house and because I felt that the price was close to what I was wanting. As mentioned in my title this was by first time buying a home. Personally I felt like there wasn’t any guidance. The seller just wanted to sell, the builder just wanted to finish up his build, and the mortgage person just wanted me to go through them. There was no clear communication to me as to “what was next” in the process. I felt like everyone just wanted to make their money and leave. I don’t want to get into details on everything, but in some cases there were unnecessary remarks/confrontation. I truly felt like things could of been better. At I felt like I was out in the dark on some things. But maybe this is the normal home buying experience and I am just unaware of it. ... More

KHOV is untrustworthy and immoral!!!!! When their pricing system made a by the sqft error on our house after we had gone under contract, their manager Jason told me he would be voiding our contract, yelling at me and telling me he would "move me in on dirt" if he had to. While I was able to eventually move in after refusing to pay the difference, I would never trust KHOV again. If I hadn't done my research and obtained a buyers agent that was able to swiftly threaten legal recourse on my behalf, I'm not sure I'd have this house right now. I bought this house new to avoid issues, and all KHOV did was cause them. DO NOT TRUST KHOV WITH YOUR NEW HOME!!!!! ... More

The organization set in place to walk you through choices is very helpful. It makes you feel like you are building a custom home, close as possible without being custom. This is our 3rd build and the most organized we have had a builder in the planning stages. Our site manager was also one of the best we’ve ever had with regular communication on progress, answering questions and resolving issues. We have had some normal issues to resolve after moving in and the responses have been more than satisfactory. We are very happy with our decision, choosing KHovnanian as our builder. The only real knock is the late start after papers were signed in the beginning. We do wish the build would have started and ended on time but due to economic conditions we understand the delays. ... Everyone at KHovnanian have been very helpful and friendly from the beginning to the end in us acquiring our new home.

We had lots of issues on our house, and they are not taking responsibility to fix the issues, we were promised that it will be fixed after the closing but , not they are telling we need to call the warranty dept. we feel like we were rushed to close it even though lots of issues were not addressed . this is our third home purchase and never had issues like this but I will not recommend anyone to buy the house like this. The finishing is not there, looks like someone rushed to finish the project, if you guys want I can share some valuable pictures which is very disappointing
