Superintendents were always on top of their game. Ben is a credit to your organization very attentive and helpful and made the home building experience bearable.

Great place to buy a home the staff was great and the construction manager was outstanding. I am recommending this place to all my friends and family.

If it wasn’t for Matthew, his hard work and attention on this project, I would have canceled after waiting OVER A YEAR to get my house. Everything moved faster once he arrived and I wish he was in charge of our building from the beginning. He is always available and doing his best to satisfy everyone. KHov should have more like him.

I really did not enjoy this process. Sales rep told us the "delete arches" was to remove the indented areas on walls where art is hung. We paid extra for that. At the initial construction meeting they told us no, that is for the arch's in the kitchen instead of squared off entries. Sales rep told us that is a structural change and we couldn't change it, even though it was her mistake. I don't know how that is structural, but okay. Overall, I felt like it was me against everyone. I had to fight my battles with the construction guys besides maybe 2 or 3 calls from sales rep asking if there is anything she needs to address prior to the Monday construction meeting. I should of hired an inspector from day one that inspected every step of the home. They told me there is a 3rd party inspector, but there is probably a conflict of interest there. I hired my own inspector and he found a ton of issues that weren't noted by the inspector. Ceiling joist were spread too far apart I'm thinking 19.5 and s/b 16. Support beam in master was a 2x8 instead of 2x12. Windows were not taped properly, some windows had siding and framing put on without tape. I was told they fixed it, they just taped over the siding and put framing back on. Inspector had to take the framing off to show it was taped wrong. They eventually fixed it after leaving it uncovered for weeks. In addition the black home wrap was ripped and it was just covered up with the framing around the windows, it was finally fixed. I had a floor plug in my living room, that after the foundation was poured, was not there. I asked about it and was told that it is just under the service so they could chip out the concrete. I told them I don't want them drilling into the foundation so if you don't find it then forget about it, long story short, they couldn't find it, so they drilled out the foundation and hit a post tension cable. Engineering company had to be called in to brace it and the foundation was filled. They found the floor outlet eventually. I may be missing some things but overall the construction process was a bad experience, I'm sure for both parties because I was constantly pointing things out. A big problem I had was I feel like I wasn't taken seriously until I brought in an inspector. I would meet with the construction manager and we would go over things, he wouldn't write one word down. It wasn't until I started putting things in emails that things started getting addressed. We eventually met with the builder, inspector, and myself. There was definitely some tension and the builder did not like that the inspector was pointing out mistakes. I have a gas line and electricity that could have gone along my fence line, but instead they ran it in the backyard that limits what I can use the area for. When I mentioned I bought the premium lot cause we wanted to do a pool, I was told there still plenty of room to do whatever I want. The gas runs a foot off the side of the house and straight back to the back fence. I don't know that this is a KHOV issue, but maybe it is. That leads into the trust factor. Before I brought in an inspector, I was told how great everything is going and was assured everything was done right, and I didn't know cause I'm not a home builder. My inspector came in and started showing me things that were done wrong and I felt like I couldn't trust anyone anymore, so I questioned everything. My biggest regret was not having an inspector day 1, he came in after framing started. He is a construction manager for another home builder and there were some things that he was stunned by the lack of quality for the cost of the home. After move in, everything has been good except some A/C issues. They had to replace the compressor on my A/C cause it wasn't working during the peak 100 degree whether, it got hot, but that isn't KHOVs fault. The A/C people have come out a few more times, KHOV team was great in getting A/C out for us. The front of our house is always 3 degrees warmer than the rest of the house, but that is apparently within what it should be. Even though the thermostat is on 73 at 4 A.M the front bedroom is still 76 and this is a single story 2200 square foot house. For the most part, everyone has been great after the move in. Only issues was some paint splatted on the floor that I asked the best way to remove, I was told not to worry and they would send someone to clean it up. It took over a month to finally get it done, which is why I'm finally writing this review. I understand people are busy so this isn't an issue. I'll add that I know the inspector was pointing out every issue he could find about everything. There were more things that I discussed with him that I told him were not a big deal. Maybe some of the things that we did press on were normal and just part of the process. I hated the experience, it was very stressful. I do enjoy the fact that I feel like I got a home a cut above the others because I had the inspector. The sales person Todd Brewer is great and impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness. The construction manager Jeff is also vey easy to deal with. But the person, John, who led us for the Walkthrough was not much of a professional guy. He does not like to give answer to our questions. He behaves as if "I am gonna read these things that I prepared to read, you just shut up, and listen, and get done with it." I do not know how to deal with this person for the entire time of warranty. Unfortunately for me, he is THE contact person if anything happens during the warranty period. Sad!

K Hovananian homes are in a class way better than other builders. Professional customer service throughout the whole process of the build. K Hovananian homes are manufactured with tons of superb craftsmanship. After the closing date customer service is what matters the most to a home buyer. I would definitely recommend K Hovananian homes to any serious buyer.

By far the best buying experience we've ever had, so much so that we even referred my sister who also bought a house in the same subdivision! I cannot speak highly enough for Susan, our sales agent, Alan and Roger who helped with the construction. The house is very sound, quiet, the experience was a breeze, and the overall enthusiasm from the team was great. Everyone that has seen our home has had nothing but praises, and we could not be happier. However, I do have 1 complaint, and that is with the finishing and use of finishing materials. Towards the end, all of the touch up work, finishing, trim, paint were clearly very rushed. The quality of workmanship is extremely poor with lots of areas needing touch ups, broken/chipped tiles, one of the stair railings shaking a lot, almost noen of the spindles are flush with the base of the stairs leaving a significant gap, and almost every single piece of trim/moulding is damaged with dents and defects throughout the house (framing around doors, baseboards, etc). I understand builders grade material is used for these types of construction homes but the defects should have been patched, sanded, and then painted rather than just covered up with paint. We've found the same issue on the exterior of the house as well Although these are just cosmetic issues, they really take away from the "polished" look we would expect for a new home. I will include all of these on my 45 day list of items that need to be revisited/fixed. I did not get good service from the builder, quality of construction is not that great for the price I paid.

Sales was awesome, the communication from the builder was great the entire time. There were more items needing fixed or finished than I would have liked come closing day. A few of them still not complete a month after closing. I enjoyed working with all of their people during the process, I'd just be much more inclined to rate higher if the last few repairs would be complete at a much faster pace.

Personally I like the architecture of these homes.

If it wasn't for Siobhan and her striving efforts to go above and beyond the call of duty. She completed one of the most difficult task I have ever seen done by a person who CARE about the AMERICAN PEOPLE & strive for the greater good in our AMERICAN direction for FAMILIES. When it is to sell the property, they tell you everything is so flexible, but when it comes to closing... the story is very very different.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a condo in the Pender Oaks community. My sales agent, Joey was truly amazing to work with! He was attentive to my needs and concerns. He also responded to my questions within a timely fashion. Despite the delay in the home building process, the KHov team communicated frequently to let me know what was going on. Matt, the Construction Manager, has also been wonderful throughout this process. He's been here through every step of the way and has taken the time to explain the inner workings of my home and has even gone above and beyond to help resolve certain issues with the home. Having to wait for almost 10 months cost us a great deal of money and a great deal of anguish. The interest rate started at under five and ended up 5.5. Over the life of the lone that is a great deal of money. We bought the condo to be close to our grandkids. We missed a year of their life. It was very upsetting to keep your life on hold. My sister purchased a house three months after us and moved in three months before us. Some builders seemed to be able to get materials.

I love my house and the development. Vicki has been great in helping with everything. She is the best and very responsive. Fred was also very helpful. I do not like the color of the paint on the walls and ceiling. I wish it was pure white. Also, I wish the sod was done better. Overall, I think it is great.

Todd was very helpful in walking us through upgrades and very patient with our queries. After we signed P&S , we met Chad who managed the built for us. He provided an update every week with pics and target for next week. Found him to be very informative and open in his communications, be it for delays or on track wins. Overall he completed our house 1 month before planned completion date. Around closing and after, we met Mike who is also a great guy with a keen eye for detail. Excellent experience overall and i would highly recommend them.

So many issues in the construction and the builder don’t respond to fix the issues reported.Couple of design issue where bath room doors collide with the main doors in the guest room and refrigerator door collides with the pantry door and they don’t care to address the issue they simply say it is as per the design provided by the architect..Dishwasher door was colliding with the side wall of the counter top and was not in usable condition on the day we moved in.Overall not a good experience.I will have to wait and see how they respond to all issues reported.

This has been the worst home-buying experience my wife and I have ever had. We felt we were lied to and manipulated by the KHOV sales team; specifically Joe’s. without considering its deceit's economic ramifications. This has been devastating for my wife and me. The KVOV Sales and construction team at Pender Oaks Towns it’s all about misinformation, untruths, and deceiving actions. I would never recommend KHOV.
