Peter was so helpful during the entire process. Everything was perfect! The process was great although stressful at times but Peter was with us all the way and he was responsive to our questions. Great customer service K. Hov!

The home itself is very nice the neighborhood is nice but the people I had to deal with were disappointing and rude. No answers in timely manner, things that were done wrong or missed were always blamed on me the buyer for not answering the phone. When I’m face they hadn’t even tried to contact me. Last minute contact for many things. If you work or live out of town these people will say they contacted you but it’s most likely mismanagement on the builders part. So many things were just dropped on me last minute. This builder or their workers make you feel like they are doing you a favor. If I’m buying a $300,000+ house I expect a certain level of professionalism. I love my home but the experience with the builders employees was trash. ... More

The overall experience was good. I did not like the one-sided contracts that say f the buyer and protect the builder. There was a lack of communication from the front office especially after I did my part to make sure that everything was ready for closing. We closed late and no communication was sent before the day of the original closing. I enjoyed working with Sammie because he was the only person who was honest about the whole process and was helpful even after I moved into the home. Very nice and genuine guy for sure. I love the community and have not experienced major issues.

This was not a good experience. Poor workmanship in home from framing issues, to air conditioning, sprinkler system, overall poor communication through the home buying process

Lady Karen was amazing! She was very supportive and informative throughout the whole process. She was FANTASTIC! The house was built extremely fast and we were overall please, the only downfall was that work from the contract trades was bad.

After my experience with K. Hovnanian, I cannot happily recommend the builder to my friends and family due to poor craftsmanship and attention to detail by the workers and internal KHov inspectors. The fact that the house passed quality standard inspections before our first walk is absurd as there was just so much to be fixed (underside of handrails on the stairs unpainted, multiple cracked and damaged door frames and doors, unfinished paint on ceilings…) after the first walk (Monday) which was scheduled FOUR days before closing (Friday). That clearly is just not enough time especially when they started fixing the issues on Thursday. In fact, on the day of closing they were still working to touch up all the areas on the pre-settlement walk list which should have already been done. I wish I could l share all the pictures here—doors were being placed and painted, outside of the house still undergoing repairs, blue tape still left on the majority of the house, stair handrails STILL unpainted, cleaning personnel just arriving after our “final walk”… it looked like we were walking in on the building process itself. How are we going to close on the home when the paint isn’t even dry yet? Unfortunately, every aspect near closing felt rushed, and I’m certain the workers felt so too. I only wish the workers had more time to address the problems so that they didn’t feel rushed. Instead, all the finishing touches just turned out sloppy when they could have paid more attention to the details if they had more time. The only positive experience we had during the entire process was having the pleasure to work with Shelby, our wonderful sales consultant. She went above and beyond to make sure that we were updated weekly and even took pictures when she could! We greatly appreciated her patience and recommendations she had for us during our selection and design appointments. Overall, we are very disappointed as I chose KHov to build our home due to the number of raving reviews we read beforehand. KHov probably does do a stellar job in other communities; however, from this experience here in Houston, it wasn’t exactly that. I’m very sorry about the negative feedback, but this really is the honest truth. Our last hope at this point is the warranty department to make everything right. ... More

I'd like to first mention that the people I dealt with for most of the home buying experience were great, including Jimmy and Denise. If it were not for the diligence and communication from Jimmy and Denise, I do not think I would have moved forward with the process of closing on the new home from K Hovnanian. Unfortunately, I can't say I have had a great experience with other people and aspects of the home buying experience, on top of continued issues in the home after closing. I did not have a good experience with my account manager, Andrew. He has zero people skills and was not helpful at all throughout the process. He knew I was a first time homebuyer, yet did an unsatisfactory job in proactively communicating important information to me and did not do a good job at guiding me when I needed help. He gave very short, vague responses to my many questions. It was like pulling teeth with him. There are TOO MANY quality and workmanship issues with the home which I find to be unacceptable for the price I paid for this new construction home. -Non working thermostat the weekend we moved in -Screws were in the garbage disposal -Loose steps on garage stairs -Heavily scratched and warped flooring in the kitchen -Airflow issue in the hood vent above gas range -Missing grout on certain spots of tile in the master bathroom shower -No tree on front lawn The list goes on and on... It can takes days or sometimes weeks before hearing back from Phil and the service team. There has been multiple times when "Phil is on vacation" which delays responses and actions from the service team. Maybe Phil needs to take less vacation days or you need to create a backup plan for coverage. I am giving a 5 star review for Denise and Jimmy ONLY. Thank you to them and a few others who actually know how to do their job and compensated for an otherwise poor experience with purchasing this home. ... More

I had to take a moment to highlight John for his level of professionalism and ability to effectively communicate through the entire process. He made himself available to us and eased our minds during the building process, it was outstanding. We would absolutely recommend KHov to our friends and family. It was an amazing experience.

Taken as a whole, the experience was positive.

From the very beginning of our process ours Sales Representative Darryl was very thorough, listened to what we were looking for in our forever home, and he’s super approachable! That same gentle demeanor carried on, with the community managers Brent and John! The entire team (financing, underwriting, trade contractors, etc.) was so responsive and did everything they could to both ensure things remained on pace and went as smoothly as possible with all the unpredictable happenings in the industry today. A HUGE Thank You To All Of You!

Being such young first time home-buyers KHOV really made it such a smooth process in buying our first home! We loved the representatives that helped us throughout our journey, most especially, Tracy, Mike and Shannon. As for Tracy, she really set the tone for our whole buying process, being the first person from KHOV that we spoke to about our home. We loved the fact that she would always give us a call or text to give us any updates on the building process of our home. She even went as much as walking out to our lot and sending us pics! During our first inspection, Mike was really attentive to every aspect of our house in order to explain the overall functions, and we loved that! He answered any questions we had and made sure that before we left the inspection that we knew the ins and outs of our home. In addition to that, he was really funny! Also, during our closing and final walk-through, Shannon helped my other half and I to find any minor damages and was very adamant about getting someone out to fix any issues, so that was a big plus in having her as one of our KHOV representatives. A month 1/2 later, and she is still very helpful, punctual and adamant about meeting our needs and solving issues as soon as we put in the ticket. Overall it was a good experience. For the Price of the home, not completing the mudroom bench the full 90" and not completing the wet-bar in the basement is a shame.

It was quick and easy. I love the look of my home.

The K Hovnanian team exceeded my expectations in many ways. They were careful not too over promise but certainly over delivered. Nate and Garrett were my dream team and I hope they're still in the business when I'm ready to purchase my next home. Highly recommend and appreciate them so much. No regrets.

The experience has been wonderful. Robert is great in top of everything so is Chris. We are very pleased with our home.

Matthew was an excellent building Inspector who responded to my needs

The whole process was a bit hiccuping with Change of staff. But the orientation, home maintenance and appliance review for extended warranty was very detailed and thorough. I appreciate follow up calls to remind me of ownership responsibilities and privilege.

Susan was great from the beginning to the end of the home purchase. Orlando is also very professional at his job and he continues to assist with some home details that need attention.

I think the best part of buying my first house was having Donna M. as our contact person. From the start she was very helpful and sincere. She was always available every step of our house buying process. She is a valuable gem at KHOVnanian.
