Great experience overall, we are happy with the quality of the property and the overall experience was awesome. The sales person, construction manager and everyone else involved in the process were very professional and helpful.

Not able to lock in the mortgage rates the day I put deposit. Other builders in the area will let you do it. End up increasing my payment by $300. Many unresolved issues with the home. Worker damaging my deck by going in and out with material and dirty work boots. Also Khov telling me that the lawn wasn’t the responsibility. The lawn was full of weeds and corn plants plus bare spots the day of the closing.

We waited two weeks short of a year for this home to be built. We were told that was due to supply issues and staffing problems. Once the home was ready and we conducted the closing walk through, we discovered many kitchen cabinet issues. We were told that the cabinet company would contact us so that they could correct the issues. It has been 6 plus weeks and they have still not contacted us. Because of that, we are unable to move our kitchen supplies in fully. VERY FRUSTRATING!

We enjoy our home but the process of closing was pretty bad honestly. We understood there would be hiccups along the way for a new build but there were a lot of preventable mistakes. There was especially poor communication between different members of the team to us. For example, our close date got changed but didn't get updated officially so closing had to be delayed. And between the builder, scheduling office, title company and mortgage company everyone kept pointing a finger of whose fault it was. I would rather have had KHOV take initiative more during the process and help solve problems rather than point fingers. I will say, the bright spot during the process was Shawn who actually communicated with me well and problem solved efficiently. Craftmanship has been average at best. They do try to fix things though with their 1 year warranty ... More

I had a great home buying experience working with Fred and Justin. Fred was extremely helpful throughout the homebuying process and always was able to answer my questions or get me an answer promptly. In addition, since we have closed Jordan has been extremely helpful with any issues with the home.

Everyone was great from Lisa at the Models of Townhouses to the finance department. My only issue was with the Builder. Not those who do the work but the overseeing 'boss'. He unnecessarily sent our moving PODS away just because a paint truck was parked in front of our drive way. I understand they were 'touching up' some things THEY MISSED BUT TO PUNISH MY FAMILY FROM HAVING THEIR BEDS WAS UNNECESSARY! I told his worker yet he has yet to address me.

KHov has great people and beautiful homes.

I admire how my realtor was on time with all the replies and how she helped me out throughout the entire process. The builder was always available to reach through text and emails or calls and made sure the house was upto my expectations. there were minor issues found in and around the house, i believe it is due to the fact of the house settling in since it's a new built.

It was a really great smooth experience! As a first time home buyers I felt super assisted through the process. It can be scary but KHOV made it fun and smooth. Every continues to be helpful even after purchasing the home which shows y’all really care! :)

Great company to work with. Awesome designs and affordable plans. Amazing customer service and quick responsiveness for any issues or help when needed. Chad our Project Manager has been a pleasure to work with who is always available to answer any questions, provide timely updates and keep us in loop for any vendor follow ups. Very happy to select them for my happy future.

We are enjoying our beautiful home. There have been some issues with Air conditioning, paint coming off the walls, toilet backing up. Fortunately they were all resolved quickly by the service team. I do wish they would have used a latex paint inside the home so I could easily clean the walls.

Very very poor quality and construction. Not able to settle down because of repairs after repairs .

Marcus was fabulous, not only staying in touch weekly, but also with the couple of issues we had after closing with gas leak and dry wall. also very pleased with Dustin, checking back and answering any questions we had.

We purchased our home approximately 6 weeks ago, and we are still struggling to address issues that were noted during walkthroughs months in advance of the home sale. The responsiveness of the team has been slow, and has led to significant frustrations during an already stressful moving period. Each individual that we've worked with has been pleasant and understanding, but the team as a whole has been a bit of a let-down.

It was a good experience overall, the people were very professional and was friendly too.

I Love my home and the customer service was great!

Peter was so helpful during the entire process. Everything was perfect! The process was great although stressful at times but Peter was with us all the way and he was responsive to our questions. Great customer service K. Hov!

The home itself is very nice the neighborhood is nice but the people I had to deal with were disappointing and rude. No answers in timely manner, things that were done wrong or missed were always blamed on me the buyer for not answering the phone. When I’m face they hadn’t even tried to contact me. Last minute contact for many things. If you work or live out of town these people will say they contacted you but it’s most likely mismanagement on the builders part. So many things were just dropped on me last minute. This builder or their workers make you feel like they are doing you a favor. If I’m buying a $300,000+ house I expect a certain level of professionalism. I love my home but the experience with the builders employees was trash. ... More

The overall experience was good. I did not like the one-sided contracts that say f the buyer and protect the builder. There was a lack of communication from the front office especially after I did my part to make sure that everything was ready for closing. We closed late and no communication was sent before the day of the original closing. I enjoyed working with Sammie because he was the only person who was honest about the whole process and was helpful even after I moved into the home. Very nice and genuine guy for sure. I love the community and have not experienced major issues.

This was not a good experience. Poor workmanship in home from framing issues, to air conditioning, sprinkler system, overall poor communication through the home buying process

Lady Karen was amazing! She was very supportive and informative throughout the whole process. She was FANTASTIC! The house was built extremely fast and we were overall please, the only downfall was that work from the contract trades was bad.

After my experience with K. Hovnanian, I cannot happily recommend the builder to my friends and family due to poor craftsmanship and attention to detail by the workers and internal KHov inspectors. The fact that the house passed quality standard inspections before our first walk is absurd as there was just so much to be fixed (underside of handrails on the stairs unpainted, multiple cracked and damaged door frames and doors, unfinished paint on ceilings…) after the first walk (Monday) which was scheduled FOUR days before closing (Friday). That clearly is just not enough time especially when they started fixing the issues on Thursday. In fact, on the day of closing they were still working to touch up all the areas on the pre-settlement walk list which should have already been done. I wish I could l share all the pictures here—doors were being placed and painted, outside of the house still undergoing repairs, blue tape still left on the majority of the house, stair handrails STILL unpainted, cleaning personnel just arriving after our “final walk”… it looked like we were walking in on the building process itself. How are we going to close on the home when the paint isn’t even dry yet? Unfortunately, every aspect near closing felt rushed, and I’m certain the workers felt so too. I only wish the workers had more time to address the problems so that they didn’t feel rushed. Instead, all the finishing touches just turned out sloppy when they could have paid more attention to the details if they had more time. The only positive experience we had during the entire process was having the pleasure to work with Shelby, our wonderful sales consultant. She went above and beyond to make sure that we were updated weekly and even took pictures when she could! We greatly appreciated her patience and recommendations she had for us during our selection and design appointments. Overall, we are very disappointed as I chose KHov to build our home due to the number of raving reviews we read beforehand. KHov probably does do a stellar job in other communities; however, from this experience here in Houston, it wasn’t exactly that.
