Overall experience from sales to construction was awesome! Ryan & Christian are the bomb!

I'd like to first mention that the people I dealt with for most of the home buying experience were great, including Jimmy and Denise. If it were not for the diligence and communication from Jimmy and Denise, I do not think I would have moved forward with the process of closing on the new home from K Hovnanian. Unfortunately, I can't say I have had a great experience with other people and aspects of the home buying experience, on top of continued issues in the home after closing. I did not have a good experience with my account manager, Andrew. He has zero people skills and was not helpful at all throughout the process. He knew I was a first time homebuyer, yet did an unsatisfactory job in proactively communicating important information to me and did not do a good job at guiding me when I needed help. He gave very short, vague responses to my many questions. It was like pulling teeth with him. There are TOO MANY quality and workmanship issues with the home which I find to be unacceptable for the price I paid for this new construction home. -Non working thermostat the weekend we moved in -Screws were in the garbage disposal -Loose steps on garage stairs -Heavily scratched and warped flooring in the kitchen -Airflow issue in the hood vent above gas range -Missing grout on certain spots of tile in the master bathroom shower -No tree on front lawn The list goes on and on... It can takes days or sometimes weeks before hearing back from Phil and the service team. There has been multiple times when "Phil is on vacation" which delays responses and actions from the service team. Maybe Phil needs to take less vacation days or you need to create a backup plan for coverage. I am giving a 5 star review for Denise and Jimmy ONLY. Thank you to them and a few others who actually know how to do their job and compensated for an otherwise poor experience with purchasing this home. ... More

I had to take a moment to highlight John for his level of professionalism and ability to effectively communicate through the entire process. He made himself available to us and eased our minds during the building process, it was outstanding. We would absolutely recommend KHov to our friends and family. It was an amazing experience.

Taken as a whole, the experience was positive.

From the very beginning of our process ours Sales Representative Darryl was very thorough, listened to what we were looking for in our forever home, and he’s super approachable! That same gentle demeanor carried on, with the community managers Brent and John! The entire team (financing, underwriting, trade contractors, etc.) was so responsive and did everything they could to both ensure things remained on pace and went as smoothly as possible with all the unpredictable happenings in the industry today. A HUGE Thank You To All Of You!

Being such young first time home-buyers KHOV really made it such a smooth process in buying our first home! We loved the representatives that helped us throughout our journey, most especially, Tracy, Mike and Shannon. As for Tracy, she really set the tone for our whole buying process, being the first person from KHOV that we spoke to about our home. We loved the fact that she would always give us a call or text to give us any updates on the building process of our home. She even went as much as walking out to our lot and sending us pics! During our first inspection, Mike was really attentive to every aspect of our house in order to explain the overall functions, and we loved that! He answered any questions we had and made sure that before we left the inspection that we knew the ins and outs of our home. In addition to that, he was really funny! Also, during our closing and final walk-through, Shannon helped my other half and I to find any minor damages and was very adamant about getting someone out to fix any issues, so that was a big plus in having her as one of our KHOV representatives. A month 1/2 later, and she is still very helpful, punctual and adamant about meeting our needs and solving issues as soon as we put in the ticket. Overall it was a good experience. For the Price of the home, not completing the mudroom bench the full 90" and not completing the wet-bar in the basement is a shame.

It was quick and easy. I love the look of my home.

The K Hovnanian team exceeded my expectations in many ways. They were careful not too over promise but certainly over delivered. Nate and Garrett were my dream team and I hope they're still in the business when I'm ready to purchase my next home. Highly recommend and appreciate them so much. No regrets.

The experience has been wonderful. Robert is great in top of everything so is Chris. We are very pleased with our home.

Matthew was an excellent building Inspector who responded to my needs

The whole process was a bit hiccuping with Change of staff. But the orientation, home maintenance and appliance review for extended warranty was very detailed and thorough. I appreciate follow up calls to remind me of ownership responsibilities and privilege.

Susan was great from the beginning to the end of the home purchase. Orlando is also very professional at his job and he continues to assist with some home details that need attention.

I think the best part of buying my first house was having Donna M. as our contact person. From the start she was very helpful and sincere. She was always available every step of our house buying process. She is a valuable gem at KHOVnanian.

K. Hovanian made my purchasing experience amazing! I didn’t have a lot of issues that other buyers have complained about with dealing with builders. I would highly recommend purchasing with K. Hovanian.

Jay at KHOV was a breeze to work with. Immediately took care of any concerns and worked with us to make some small changes. Overall excellent experience with this builder.

We initially went under contract with CastleRock for a house that was in the process of being built. After a couple weeks of progress and seeing the terrible craftsmanship and also having an unresponsive construction manager and sales manager we forfeited our contract. We found a KHov house under construction and the decided that was the house for us. The difference was incredible. KHov really takes pride in their build. Crafts were all great to work with and did a top notch job. If something was wrong KHov fixed it with no questions asked...Even after closing, if anything needed fixed (we had 2 windows that needed replaced and a scratch on the bath tub fixed) KHov came and got it repaired/replaced very timely. Our construction manager was Christian and Sales Manager was Brandi. I'd give each of them a 10/10... Very helpful and pleasant to work with. ... More

Communication was pretty good in the home buying process but lost closing not very good. The paint and mud were very, very poorly finished. That’s been our biggest disappointment.

The whole experience was great with just a few hiccups. The design representative (Lisa) was not very accommodating and it felt like we were statistically and financially profiled. My wife and I felt like we were rushed into picking from the limited design options. We had to do our own tries in matching designs from the color of the paints to choosing the right carpet with no or very minimal help or suggestions from the designer. She was just pretty much on her laptop waiting for us to be done choosing. We came back to the model house the next day to check other things not related to the design. The designer happened to be there with a different client. I have observed that the treatment was different and that the designer was more proactive and attentive. Other than that, everything else was a great experience especially the sales team Reggie and Karam, the Construction team Ken and Derrick, and the warranty team. ... More

We signed the contract with K Hovnanian Homes on June 2020, we just closed June 28, 2022. There was an issue between the developer and builder which caused the delay. Not K Hov's fault, but K Hov HQ could have accommodated this horrible experience. Ours is probably a rare experience. Our salesperson Don was always communicating with us, I feel bad for Don as he got the brunt of our anger, but such a professional and didn't avoid or shy away from our tough questions. Don took care of issues as quickly as he could and advocated for us. Once K Hov started and out of the developer's hands, the process was good. Our Senior Community Manager Alex was exceptional. Alex made the home build experience exceptional. Had we not had Alex our experience would not have been exceptional. Alex has always focused on making sure we had everything we needed and taking care of our home needs. Can't say enough good about Don and Alex!! Once we moved in very little issues on the build quality, I mentioned some erosion issues with Alex, and he took care of it immediately! Any issues, once I mentioned to Alex, he took care of it! If you're building with K Hovnanian all I can say is, make sure Alex is your Senior Construction Manager! Top Notch! The home itself, I'm extremely impressed with how energy efficient it is! It's awfully hot outside and our home is very comfortable, and the AC isn't running all the time. We love the home. Had we not had to wait a little over 2 years, I would give K Hovnanian 5 stars. McDaniel ll Townhome. This has 3500 square feet and a desirable floor plan. The craftsmanship was not what we expected for a Townhome in this price range.

When working with Garrett through each stage we were always in the loop and informed on the process. The only feedback we really had was that during the building process we noticed one of the bathtubs didn't have a liner and sometimes urine was left by the builders. It was only disturbing because we would expect everything to be clean and new after moving in. Everything else was great and everyone had great and consistent communication with us. We especially enjoyed the design center process and how patient our consultant was with us while making choices.

This was my second time buying a K Hov house

We love our new home. Scott, the builder, was amazing to work with during construction and even now after we moved in!
