K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

First time home owner so did not know what to expect. Adrian, the Hovnanian agent, continues to be the best part of the experience. He walked the journey with me by staying in contact to be sure the process was progressing to my satisfaction. Austin, the builder, and his associate made sure any details from the inspections were corrected to my satisfaction. I now own a beautiful home at a reasonable price that is my forever home.

We are a satisfied customer of KHovnanian from beginning to the end of home purchase. They did everything in a timely manner. They were reachable for all our questions with proper response. We recommend KHovnanian to all new home buyers.

Let's start off by, any concerns we had were kicked down the road to close. The roof alone is not adequately vented. We had three separate roofers come out and state this with pictures and reports. Which we supplied. They did not use Starter Shingles on the edges as is code. There is not enough vents to release the heat from within, which will cause the shingles to fail. The vents that were installed were installed improperly. We were told it's within our thresholds or parameters. There is no threshold or parameters, It's either wrong or right. Carpentry on this build is a joke. Corners do not match, doors were installed not plum and trim pieces were used to hide the fact that the doors were / are not plum. The cabinet colors did not match. They tried to say it was the shadows. Then they put a meter on it. Guess what? Came back different colors. Baseboards are terribly installed. Corners are not sanded smooth. There are globs of caulk and paint drips throughout the house and on the floor. This was brought to attention at the first walk through to go to closing. Warranty lady stated , we should file the roof on our homeowners insurance. Really?! It's a brand new home. Lastly, the attention to detail is garbage. It's like, let's push everything down the road so they have to close and let the Warranty deal with it. As long as they meet thier qouta, it's all good. Needless to say, this is just a small insight into how this build is FAR from the worth of what we paid for our new house build. We are sure that this will be used as a teaching tool to help make K Hov a better company in the future. But, the future is now, and we are terribly disappointed in our future home build that we just bought. ... More

Our home is amazing and we couldn’t be happier! Khovnanian has been so responsive throughout the entire building process and even after. Bob the builder is always checking in on how things are with our home. There’s a super easy ticketing system so even after the home is built they’ll come fix anything that was missed or got damaged. Great experience.

My whole experience with Neesha, Claire, Kevin and Joe was the BEST I have ever had with the personnel of a home builder. I love the finished product! The detail into which I was totally involved with was a great experience!!

We had a great experience with K. Hovnanian. The people are great to work with, the quality of the home is excellent as well as top of the line features in the home.

Everyone in KHoV was amazing to work with! From my sales rep Paul, all the way to my KHAM mortgage agent, Andrew, the buying experience was simple and easy.

It was very nice experience with Theary and John.

This was a seamless process from beginning to end. The salesperson was phenomenal. He provided guidance, was always available for questions. The construction manager was great and was always available, The construction manger that assisted with the closing walkthrough was fantastic . and responsive. K Hovnanian lives service!

Sales Consultant was great and responsive as well as the construction manager.

My husband and I decided to go with K. Hov for our first house. It was such a smooth and easy process. Keith and Cisco really took care of all of our questions and needs. We are very happy with our first home!

She worked with us, answered every question we had and just made the experience better than our previous purchases with other companies

From the day I toured the model until I completed closing I was treated with professional with a personal touch. I appreciate Sylvia and Orlando that made my home buying experience amazing.

The K HOV sales team, and builders are great and easy to work with.

Our first home-buying process could not have gone any smoother. The entire team from the sales office to the final walkthrough team was very experienced, knowledgeable, polite and helpful in every way possible. Thank you for an unforgettable journey.

Everything was a smooth easy process

To begin with the house is lovely but nobody seems to care about our punchlist . we did a walk-through that was useless almost none of the issues were addressed we moved in and they continue to be either ignored or discredited . when there are some serious issues such as bathrooms flooding because of inappropriate or ill placed glass enclosures tile floors that are pitched the wrong way . our glass sliding doors are very difficult to open and close there’s lots of leakage of water and air the air conditioning duct system was a joke too. I had to have it repaired myself . the cabinetry finish is damaged or I’ll applied . These issues are to name a few. We have emailed phone called and spoke to many representatives of this builder to little avail ... More

Matthew and Buddy are very honest and trustworthy. Two very easy people to do business with.

The process of buying, designing and building my home was made possible by these four people. It was the most positive experience that I ever could have imagined. Each of these stages of the process were handled by these professionals who were extremely knowledgeable in their area of expertise. I feel truly blessed to have been able to be a part of KHovnanian’s Four Seasons at Virginia Crossing!

Thank you Devra, Cary, and Nomo; top tier professionals.

Both Lisa and Sam worked side by side with my husband and I. Any question or concern we had, we would get a response quickly. Sam made sure to give us weekly updates on the progress of the house. We had the best experience for our first home purchase!

It was a good experience with the builder's team. the quality is above average.

Through out process poor communication lack of updates. Repeated delays. Port quality workmanship. Cement problems, plumbing problems, siding problems, trim problems, paint and drywall problems floor problems, the list goes on. Everywhere I look something isn’t right. Disappointing. Frustrating. Now faced with being home for multiple appointments to correct what should have been identified prior to close! The only pleasant process was the mortgage process. Ben and Pete were communicative knowledgeable and available.

Wonderful experience. They were with me every step of the way and guided me to the finish line. This was the least stressful experience I've ever had buying a home. I love that they have a mortgage company and homeowners insurance company available and the rates are fantastic.

It was our first time building a home and I enjoyed that I didn’t have to pick the small details because the packages they provided included everything we wanted. The sales representative and project manager was great. Everything was seamless and their was only small delays regarding light fixtures but nothing major which is to be expected during a pandemic. All in all it was a great experience and I will be building again with them in the future.
