From the initial phone inquiry with Bill, we were immediately impressed with high level professionalism that really set the bar. Bill was incredibly personable, knowledgable, and communicative throughout the whole process well after our close. Both the finance team- Andrew and Lorraine and title team - Karen and Christine were incredibly professional and responsive. The walkthroughs with Jimmy and Pete were thorough and we really appreciated how everything was so well labeled to make things easy for move-in. Our initial walkthrough with Jimmy was also very professional and thorough.

Bo was great! Extremely helpful and patient with our many questions. He made a really wonderful experience for us, especially being first time homebuyers. We have also had good service post closing in fixing warranty items.

The house is well built for track type build - they have a lot of detail in their builds. Their plans are good for older folks like us as well as first home buyers. The use of K. Hovnanian Mortgage was relatively easy as compared to other mortgages I have taken in the past. I would buy another KHov home. Nice job KHov all around....

Good experience overall. Sales reps were great. Detailed and open about the process. Seems like quality build and materials so far. Construction folks are good to deal with as well. Managed supply shortages remarkably well.

There were many challenges for home construction during the COVID-19 pandemic. K. Hovnanian Homes were able to overcome many difficulties to build a high-quality and beautiful home for us - despite the delayed closing date. The weekly email update with photos from the VP of construction near the end was very informative. The site manager was very thorough, friendly and helpful.

Our construction supervisor, Collin, was responsive and easy to work with. Our sales rep, Jerry, as well. Thanks guys!

My husband and I will never recommend Khov to anyone based on our experience. We do not believe the KHov sales team was forthright with information leading up to closing. The KHov sales team were also completely unavailable on the day of closing with the exception of the onsite construction manager who processed our final walkthrough. We ran into construction issues during our final walkthrough and could not get through to anyone to discuss next steps or delaying closing until the issues were resolved. This put us in a position of having to decide whether to be in default or go to closing with a blemished home with zero input on next steps from KHov. As for build quality, there were numerous issues with the vinyl flooring on the first two levels including excessive bubbling, scratches and large gouges bad enough you could see the subfloor. We were told the problems were related to the material, that they were having issues with multiple properties and that KHov management was working on a solution. We were also assured the issues would be resolved before closing. When we inquired about exactly how they would be resolved and expressed our concerns over large scale patching we were not provided a clear response. On our final walkthrough we discovered the repairs were also done poorly with more bubbling, blemishes in multiple places and multiple new areas with debris under the vinyl resulting in visible sharp bulges in the flooring that were not there on the initial walkthrough. KHov worked with the flooring subcontractor to come in and fix the new flooring issues after closing but we were never told what the subcontractor did to fix the flooring issues even after multiple emails requesting more information. Overall, this was not a smooth or pleasurable process and it seemed like their only concern was making sure we got to closing before the end of the sales month. ... More

The cool thing about the building process was the weekly update and the fact that you could Go look at the house thru out the building process to see the house form

Noise from vehicles on I-30 is disturbing day & night. The materials used for windows and doors are not fully soundproof.

It really was a nice and easy process from start to finish. Everyone I've had dealings with were very professional and easy to work with. I really would love to give a 5 star review, but the final finish at the very end of the purchase falls short. I bought my home after two of my daughter's bought K Hov homes in the area. We all have the same complaints. The quality of the painter and drywall final finish is poor. They come back after your walk through and they determine whether, or not, what you have marked as unacceptable is worthy of them repairing it. It's really unfortunate to have such a good experience end with imperfections in the drywall and sloppy paint work that you get look at everyday. The K Hov employees explained that it is the contractors discretion if the quality meets "industry" standards. Seems to me that the contractors should meet K Hov's, and the customer's, standards/expectations. When touch up paint was requested so I could fix some of it myself I was denied. ... More

Lacey S. has been instrumental in helping us in our home buying experience with KHovnanian Homes since Day 1. Argelio M. has diligently updated us on the progress/lack of of progress every week. Both of them is the reason why we stuck it out even though we had major delay on our bricks for 5 months and almost walk away from the contract. Lacey and Argelio are responsive with our questions and we had a lot of them. Even we were upset with the bricks delay, both of them are very thoughtful and super professional in how they could best support us through the delays. They are always very kind and generous with their time to check in even after we closed for follow up items. My experience was a smooth process with the exception of some hiccups from the Sales Counselor Pros:: Temporary Solution:Rectified situation regarding backyard by mailing seeds for grass growth to my address. Cons: Used Condescending Language which was offensive. I am a military veteran and she expressed from her experience most veterans would not get approved for a certain loan amount amount thus exceeding A mortgage amount. I was shocked and appalled. Then she proceeded to ask me about my annual salary. I thought it was quite distasteful and unprofessional. I would recommend that she educates herself regarding veterans and not placing stereotypical connotations regarding whether or not veterans can purchase homes within their affordability. Jumping to conclusions that veterans dont make a decent salary to purchase homes that she may deem out of their financial bracket is unacceptable. ... More

The entire process from signing the contract to closing date was good. The communication with the sales person, construction manager was very good. Hired a private inspector to review to 3 stages of construction and his opinion of construction quality was much better than many builders. Any issues that came up were resolved in a timely manner. But the biggest issue i had was network cabling for home network. The electricians pulled cat6 data cable. They used electrical boxes instead of low voltage boxes in the wall. The cut the cables in the wiring closet with only 30 inches exposed. The even pulled one data cable i paid for and them removed it when sheetrock was installed. They would not allow me to hire my own cabling contractor. The result was i had to rip most of it out and do it myself after closing. I do "IT" support from home and need a reliable home network. Building out a wired home network would have been much easier during framing but was not allowed to do so. Other than the home network problem the outcome of the overall build was pretty good due to the weekly verification of work and communication and initiated with sales and the construction manager. ... Everything was great honestly. A lot of communication, really cool updates, etc. The only part that was disappointing was how much longer it took to build the home then what was initially expected.
