For this to be our first home buying experience , K Hov made everything very easy . I do believe that some base options could be upgraded to be “base” such as paint.

I really appreciated the sales office and the super, Alan. Alan was amazing and Mike and Shane were very attentive. The financial end was unenjoyable at best.

Did a walkthrough before drywall installed and noticed every crack and gap was sealed up before the insulation was put in. Home feel very well sealed up. Even the basement concrete floor is not cold. Its middle of winter and the basement does not feel that cold.

Great builders! Good communication and work was efficient.

Overall an ok process. The initial paperwork for the condos was an alright process, but the price jumped up $5k at last second before we committed to buying. This was due to someone else buying a condo in the unit before we signed. During the home décor phase, the specialist was really nice and gave us a ton of useful suggestions on what to include in the new home. However, there were some selections I believe that should have come standard with the home rather than an upgrade since it was marketed as a "Luxury home". For example, you will get a garage door but a garage door opener + remotes will cost $800 on top of the lot price. For the kitchen, you'll need to upgrade to get a gas stove top. Any cabinetry will require you to upgrade to level 2 in order to get hardware (handles) installed. I believe small things like this should be the baseline - not an upgrade. The builders usually gave us a weekly update on the construction of the home. We did have a construction delay of about 2 months due to COVID & labor shortages which is understandable. Though they did have a last minute 2 week delay in closing which was frustrating as it extended past my rate lock period and costed me an extra $1k to hold it. Whenever we did the pre-dry wall inspection and golden key orientation the builders were always super nice and informative, can't say enough good things about them. The model home staff on the other hand wasn't always the friendliest or the most coordinated. One time we wanted to show our family the condo we were buying while it was being constructed. We called ahead to make it was ok with the staff and they reassured us we could stop by for a visit. Once we got there the staff didn't know we were coming and rudely said that we may not be able to visit. After verifying the builders were not busy in the home, we were eventually able to take a quick tour. The mortgage office ok, but often their rates were not competitive with others. The additional "builders bonus" you get if you choose their mortgage company comes at the expense of an increased interest rate which was not explained to me until near closing. The loan fees were also generally higher than other companies, which reduces the "builder bonus" actually going towards your mortgage. After moving in, the condo was overall fairly nice and is in a great location for us. There was one issue that was not fixed after the final walk though and after we had already closed on the house: the ceiling prewire bracket was much lower than the ceiling, which isn't a big deal. The warranty person was easy to work with and quickly sent workers out to fix it without a charge. We also had issues getting trashcans. For some reason our information didn't get passed on to the HOA which caused a 3 week delay in us getting the cans. After now living here for about 2 months we did experience a few other issues: a broken microwave, a missing hot water shutoff valve, and a toilet paper holder that was too close together. The warranty team again was easy to work with, dispatched the right people within a reasonable time, and at not cost. They've been great throughout the process. We've also noticed the paint chipping near corners of walls, but that's most likely due to the settling of the house. They do offer a free touch up kit, and I think they offer to retouch the house at the 7 month mark after the house is done settling. Overall, there were a lot of small things that ultimately culminated in a less than ideal experience. Some of them can be attributed to COVID and labor shortages like the delay, but then there are small quirks like the house upgrades that really should be the baseline. The end product has been great to live in, but in the future I'd be hesitant about going through this process again. ... More

I couldn't be happier about the fact that I purchased my first home from K Hovnanian. The quality of their workmanship is stellar, which the house reflects very well. They were a great source of information for us throughout the process, especially Ms. Bogar and Mr Smith. They always made it a point to let us know that we could reach them with any questions we had even after closing. Furthermore, I must commend them on their post-sale service as they reached out several times since closing to find out whether our experience remained a positive one. They even installed a transition strip for the back door to the garage in good faith two weeks after closing! Look no further if the house you like was built by K Hovnanian! ... More

I was very nervous, as a first time home buyer that the process would go smoothly. Nobody had to go out of their way to reassure me during the process, but they did. They took the time to answer questions and guided me through every hurdle. Many thanks.

I’m a first time homeowner and this experience has been a big disappointment. I was pressured to close quickly, my concerns were dismissed, and it has been one problem after another-from countertops not being glued down to uneven floors. KHOV only cares about meeting their quota and getting the closings done. They take no pride in the workmanship that is put into the luxury homes they claim to be building. I closed two months ago and the repairs have still not be taken care of. I would never refer someone to buy a KHOV home.

Had a fantastic experience with Monica and our Build team (led by Bob and Kayla). Our home was finished incredibly quickly and the quality of the home blew our inspectors mind. Cannot say enough good things about our experience with KHov

Our sales rep Greg was absolutely amazing!! We couldn't imagine having a better, more caring individual to help us during our home buying process. Being first time home buyers and coming out from having a relative negative and disappointing experience with another builder Greg made us feel completely at ease from the very beginning and never wavered throughout the entire process. He was really a pure blessing to us, and only was concerned about getting the home we wanted. Our builder Matt was just as great! Super knowledgeable and very informative. He was great with communicating every little update during the building process and offered excellent personal advice about the best way to maintain our home. He's an amazing builder. Towards the end of our process, we ran into an issue with our low home appraisal that was very unfortunate and stressful, but Greg's sales partner Karen gracefully stepped in to help us navigate this issue in Gregs stead when he wasn't able to be there. Needless to say, Karen was fantastic and showed amazing compassion during our low appraisal ordeal. Between Greg, Matt, and Karen our buying experience was absolutely impressive and smooth as it could be. Our only complaints are that some of the venders used our toilets and left unpleasant surprises in them during the building process, and that K. Hovanian (Not Greg or Karen) as National Company and Builder didn't do much of anything to help us as company during our low home appraisal ordeal especially with it being so close to closing on our home. K. Hovnanian is a production builder, and you will get a house that is void of all common sense and practical spatial awareness. All. Walls have flat paint oh they paint the ceilings the same flat paint color as the walls. plumbing in the whole house stopped draining after the first four days, Half of the house lost electrical power due to a damaged line under the front yard and driveway. Quality control and contractor supervision doesn't exist.

Home buying experience was very seamless. Monica walked us through the whole process from showing us the home to closing. We are very excited to enjoy our new home and make many years of memory.

Everyone was courteous and informative during my home buying process. Even afterwards, if I had any concerns about the house, the builder(Mauricio) would make sure that it’s taking care of in a timely manner.

I would definitely recommend Khovnanian Homes, they have beautiful floor plans and reasonable price. I am a first time home buyer and the process was not complicated. Adrian and Terence were so helpful during the process of building the house. Thanks Khovnanian for making my dream home come true.

The customer service was great, the staff was super friendly, nice quality home, completed timely. The process was also seamless.

Constant delays and unreliable time lines. Finally got the keys 2 months after we were supposed to close. Inspections and walk thrus were rescheduled 4-5 different times where we had to rearrange our lives to make it convenient for the builder. Very disappointed in the homebuying process.
