K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

The entire process from signing the contract to closing date was good. The communication with the sales person, construction manager was very good. Hired a private inspector to review to 3 stages of construction and his opinion of construction quality was much better than many builders. Any issues that came up were resolved in a timely manner. But the biggest issue i had was network cabling for home network. The electricians pulled cat6 data cable. They used electrical boxes instead of low voltage boxes in the wall. The cut the cables in the wiring closet with only 30 inches exposed. The even pulled one data cable i paid for and them removed it when sheetrock was installed. They would not allow me to hire my own cabling contractor. The result was i had to rip most of it out and do it myself after closing. I do "IT" support from home and need a reliable home network. Building out a wired home network would have been much easier during framing but was not allowed to do so. Other than the home network problem the outcome of the overall build was pretty good due to the weekly verification of work and communication and initiated with sales and the construction manager. ... Everything was great honestly. A lot of communication, really cool updates, etc. The only part that was disappointing was how much longer it took to build the home then what was initially expected.

Good home overall. Process is overwhelming

Everybody was on top of things and very helpful. It was a great experience as a new home buyer. Highly recommended especially with the help of Karen and Paul

Gary and Adrian were very helpful and accommodating. Great experience overall.

The entire buying process was made smooth and easy. Russ was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to help me and my family. Would recommend to anyone.

It was great experience from beginning to end. It would have been nice to include a few more items in the standard pricing.

This home is iconic and beautiful and went up in value by 150k lol thanks khov

Its unfortunate I need to be my own project manager because the QC in minimal and short lived. The lack of quality control concerns me in the long run. I can only hope all issues are addressed and remedied in a reasonable amount of time.

Sam & Shelby were phenomenal to work with, Shelby was very informative and extremely patient, She went above and beyond to make sure experience was great. Explained things well and was prompt with any issues or concerns we had. Sam was very down to earth and easy to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure house was built within timeframe and addressed any concerns we had. The community is decent and no qualms there,

From start to finish KHOV was by my side every step of the way. I will admit for being a widow, this was a huge undertaking on my part. Being the person who I am, KHOV made this a very enjoyable experience & I thank you for that.

Most miserable experience. Even when I tried to submit my initial review, It was deleted and I was asked to re-write it. This pretty much sums up my entire experience. K hov simply doesn't care and they make that clear. They promised numerous items and a certain level of service that they chose not to deliver. When I addressed with Sr. Management I received rude and insulting emails stating that I should read the contract and I'm pretty much stuck. But what do you expect for a "high-end" builder? They had the audacity to justify their horrible service by stating "all the builders do it this way." I can assure you, they don't. Remember, K Hov, you reap what you sow. ... More

I really love the process and everyone in it was awesome

Unprofessionalism in the sales office. Read review on your webpage. Poor quality with interior fixtures, they put the cheapest products in this house!

Overall smooth experience were kept well informed of progress.

As one of the first in a new neighborhood, there were some plat issues that took some time but were resolved to get the building process started. Our sales agent (Jackie) kept us up to speed constantly. Once started, our construction manager (John) provided regular updates and helped us feel comfortable with process. We are very pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to work with this team again.

The ease of purchase and the friendly staff have been great.

My experience was very good with the staff

Both the sales representatives and onsite project managers were awesome to work with and provided responsiveness on all issue during the home building process. While the logistic supply chain impacted the schedule, KH stepped up to address all matters including the punch list corrective work at completion and turnover.

We have a lot of quality workmanship issues including mold that we had to deal with in a brand new home.

One of the best home buying experiences we had with K-hovnanian-homes. We were not local to DFW and we didn't even have to fly even once everything was smoothly handled by sales agent Danielle through zoom meetings for contract signing, design session. All in all very smooth home buying experience we had until closing. I would any day recommend my friends and family buying house from K-hovnanian-homes

As a realtor, I have dealt with many home builders and none of my experiences have been as pleasant as this one! I purchased a home that was set to close in 28 days and even with all of the shortages and delays, it was done in 26! Cisco and Keith did a great job at communicating and went above and beyond on making us feel comfortable! I will definitely be recommending KHov and the team in Midtown Park to friends and clients!

Sales dept: They come off very nice, but they weren't trustworthy (said we were moving forward with a lot purchase, then sold it to someone else), never knew anything about what was happening with the lot/house we ended up purchasing; over all disappointing Design dept: Excellent! Got great service from the design team Building supervisor: Excellent. Very forthright about build schedule, delays, etc. Very good communication Post-move in: several items still need to be fixed; have submitted several tickets/workorders - some were taken care of quickly; other items still pending with not follow up communication from KHov We love our new home, but the overall experience from initial purchase to move-in has been mixed. ... We would come and look at our house every weekend. We were really impressed of the way they worked so hard to build our home in four months. Enjoying our new home.

K. Hov is based on production. There are things that should not be encountered in a new home. We noticed some contractors work on what is best for them and not the esthetics or the home. Investing in contractors and having enough contractors to work in a home would be beneficial so they can deliver on time and to your standards and reputation. We foresee having issues with water setting in one area of our backyard. Please note, Jamie was a pleasure to work with and he was ALWAYS responsive. He is a really hard worker and gave us the best experience with him. Every K. Hov employee we came in to contact with were great. ... More
