From the pre-drywall walk-thru to the final Gold Key delivery, Mike was there to ensure all of my questions were answered. He took extra steps to make sure I was happy with my home, even going so far as to make adjustments to the length of the chandelier to make sure I was comfortable with the height!

We recently had our new home built by K. Hovnanian in the Hazel Run Glen community and we were very satisfied with our overall experience. The quality of construction and attention to detail are impressive. The finished product has a beautiful, upscale look that truly exceeded our expectations. The production team was professional, responsive, and committed to ensuring we were happy with every step of the process. We would highly recommend K. Hovnanian to anyone looking for a builder that delivers both quality and style.

So far things are going well. Respond to complaints and issues are poor from builders and the office as a whole.

My home buying experience was okay overall. The sales agent was wonderful and really helped make the process smoother. My biggest regret is not getting a home inspector before purchasing. I felt rushed during my walkthrough and was told that any issues would be taken care of even after closing. Honestly, it’s been a bit of a challenge. They have addressed many of my concerns, but quite a few things have been put on the back burner because they say the home needs time to settle. Unfortunately, many of these issues were already there before I moved in, but I didn’t notice them at the time.

My new home experience with K. Hovnanian has been positive for the most part. One notable item was the design process, I really loved the floor plans that were available and the Looks Interior choices, it made designing my home effortless. The location of Monarch Glen to the Georgetown-Lewes Trail, being tucked away from major roads, and close to beaches is what drew me here. The only downside is the mobile trailer park and some of the occupants on the other side of me. I wish I had known that there were issues over there as I would have selected a different lot. The overall workmanship and materials has been acceptable for the most part. After moving in I have noticed areas that could have been done better but what needed fixing inside the house has been addressed and fixed quickly. The sod is a different story. The yard has been dug up so much that it has destroyed my front yard. I was initially told that it would be replaced but that has not happened. I have since took matters into my own hands in an attempt to make the front look more appealing but there are still areas that need attention. The opportunity of purchasing a new home from K. Hovnanian Homes is the best decision that I have ever made. It has been since July 21st and I am as happier today as I was the first day that I received my keys. I feel that I made a great choice. This community is a quiet and peaceful environment . The homes are beautiful outside and inside. The management is great!

I do wish the home included trim around windows and/or options for crown molding so it felt more like a home than an apartment, that was the one disappointment/shortfall, but I do like everything else.

Still pooling in my back yard. They came out on the 9th and did the drains. But now on the 22nd, I silk have no grass. No landscaping efforts have been made. Wait till the township, county, and attorney general get involved. I think I have to sue you guys now.

I’ve lived in my house a few months now and it’s been great. Good quality build. Nice finishes. The sales and construction teams have also been great at responding to any minor issues. I’m overall very happy with the purchase.

In our 41 years of marriage we’ve had 6 homes. Our experience with Hovnanian was by far the most pleasant with builders we have worked with. Our sales person, Stephanie and construction supervisor, Robert were exceptional. They were always available to address our needs and kept us informed weekly during the entire purchase and construction process. The Hovnanian team is without a doubt, the best!

We had issues that caused warranty to get involved. We were greatly inconvenienced by a mistake that someone made when building our home. For the first 3 months of living in our brand new home we had basically a construction zone. There is still things that look patchy and rough but we are told that isn’t covered under warranty and there is nothing that can be done. We are tired of trying and are giving up hope that they will do anything to make it right. Any time we ask a question about something they never have the answer and say they will get back to us but then we have to follow up. We had to have family travel from out of town to be at our house during their repairs since they were unable to come outside of our working hours. K. Hovanian is great. Very professional and friendly staff. Alin does a great job with working with you to make sure your dream home becomes a reality. From the time you pick your home design to breaking ground the process won’t take long.

From viewing, buying and moving the experience has been great! After moving response times to small problems has be good. Nothing negative has happened yet to me.

Our sales person, Chris was good when we met for the first time. After signing the contract, Chris kept us updated on progress, issues (there were many), and changes, as well as answered all of our questions. Once we walked the house and did the blue tape walk, we thought everything would be fixed…NOPE, only a few things were and the other tape just removed. As we continue living in the house, the poor quality just keeps appearing from poorly cut trim pieces (meaning I recut and filled in with caulk) to caulk everywhere that you normally wouldn’t want caulk (around all the toilets, on the faucet-not around, some areas for quarter round moulding have it and other places in the same room don’t, etc), the craftsmanship is HORRIBLE. Now when submitting and trying to get warranty items fixed, they sit for weeks and months. They obviously do everything on their time, not when it’s convenient for the customer. The warranty department has been great, Brett, Nick, and Kristi. They are very responsive. However, the sales experience was not good, as the people in the front office were unpleasant. Also, since closing, we’ve had numerous issues that have needed to be repaired. The quality of the construction of the home and materials was unacceptable.

I documented a list of items that required correction before moving in, both in writing and through direct conversations. Months later, none of these issues have been resolved. Despite repeated attempts to follow up, the superintendent, Alex, has been unresponsive to calls and messages. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and based on it, I cannot recommend purchasing a home from this builder.

The buying process was not smooth, and the sales rep had a bad attitude, aggressive and not helpful really at all. I was lied to about a couple of different things during the closing process by the sales rep, and came to find out my neighbor had the same experience. The home has a lot of cosmetic flaws, with poor paint jobs, drywall, roof, concrete, and trim being damaged. Since I've moved in, I've had to put in at least 10 warranty claims, and it has only been a couple of months. It sucks because I really like my house, but wish it were of better quality or craftsmanship.

Justin has been excellent in getting work scheduled under warranty no matter the scope of the job. It lends support to a large company like KHov, with many subcontractors, standing by the product they deliver.

Buying our new K. Hovnanian home was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The home itself is beautifully made, with great attention to detail and craftsmanship that truly stands out. The entire buying process was smooth and easy, thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable sales team who guided us every step of the way. Our mortgage lender also went above and beyond, they were hard working, helpful, and always available to answer questions. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and highly recommend K. Hovnanian!
