Build and purchase process went without any major issues. The quality of the house is great.

The builder provided options where I could move in with minimal friction. Such as blinds, refrigerator, washer/dryer, etc.

Good builder. Warranty issues are resolved quickly.

Good home, well built, only problem we had was in the time it took to build it - three months longer than anticipated

Once we signed for the house it all went down hill from there. We are just another number they will eventually get to. A long list from the gold key walkthrough was never taken care of.. I’m sitting at just over a month in the house and the list is just as long. Biggest items dishwasher, electrical panel door and my kitchen hardware still not fixed. SMH lesson learned cause now they got the money for the house they don’t feel the need to fix the crap they fell short on

We purchased a model home that was built 2 years ago. The structure usually starts showing some cracks in 2 years, but this house was as good as it was just constructed. That shows the quality of the construction Khovnanian offers. The entire staff right from the sales agent Heba to the warranty folks who did a walkthrough of the house were extremely helpful and patient. Being first how owners we had a lot of questions and were very anxious but Heba made the whole process extremely smooth for us. She was always available to help us with anything we needed. The workmanship was average at best. Plenty of areas where drywall was very poor and had to be re-done. Paint job was not great. Fireplace had to be re-set. Many other minor items, but most are being addressed. Garage door — some worker mistakenly drilled holes in the wrong panel. He should have admitted his mistake. At least it was the same panel that was also dented. Eventually it will be replaced. I have purchased new construction before and that home was built with much more care and quality.

Still waiting on final pending items from our final walk before closing four weeks ago.

The builders offered free upgrades to my neighbours equipment that they had ordered and I was promised that it will be given to me as well. The builder told me to make sure to give him a good review as it is very important. After a few weeks during my meeting with the builder, I was advised that the builder has changed. I asked the builder if the upgrades would still be applied to my property as promised by the previous builders. My neighbors got the upgrade on their stuff. The builder told me I will not be getting any upgrades, and that is why he is the builder now not the other guy. However, the important part is when I saw the house for the first time I raised a couple of my concerns. The walls were damaged, the doors were not straight, sockets and swtiches were not screwed on tight. I told the builder there are a lot of things that still needs to be fixed. He said no worries, I will give you a blue tape and anything you see just put blue tape and we will fix it. When I checked up on it next time, I saw that there were still a lot of things that were not corrected and I brought it to the builders attention. He said to put a blue tape again, while I was putting blue tape. The builder told me that nothing is perfect so we will try. I told him the doors are not straight, the ceiling of the wall is damaged. He did not provide any explanation but just stated that nothing is perfect and review is important. Everytime I met the builder, he was only concerned about the review instead of looking after my concerns. After closing when I came back I noticed nothing was fixed. Even some parts of the blue tape was there, scratched on the appliances, uneven doors, damaged walls, under window damaged, uneven floor. I don’t blame the contrcution crew but how can a builder approve the work that's damaged and uneven. The fridge was installed incorrectly, there is water leaking hopefully someone will fix it. While working on papers they messed up many times and they told me it was a simple mistake we will resend it. I am very disappointed with the builder, I wanted to refer my friends to buy from the same company but after this I won't be referring them. ... More

I would not recommend K.Hov. They make promises that aren't delivered and the quality of workmanship is lacking. We waited 16 months for a cookie cutter home that should have taken 4 months. The quality of work was beyond disappointing. Even after closing, there are many punch list items that have not been delivered.

As an overall experience K-Hovnanian homes is extremely trustworthy. I have built many commercial projects and this home was one of the most reliable builder I have worked with. The construction supervisor did what he said he would and the company handled a major issue with a retaining wall without question. The house is tight and very comfortable.

We had a great experience dealing with our KHOV sales rep Joey. He answered all of our many questions quickly and kindly. We also really liked our builder Matt G. who went above and beyond in answering questions, providing information on our home, and solving any and all minor construction issues. Joey and Matt provided amazing customer service to our family.

Every single person that I had contact with from K.Hov went above and beyond. My overall experience was excellent. Dave H. Sales Manager at Autumn Ridge was so amazing he answered all of my questions, was incredibly responsive and just went above and beyond. Jamie and Michele my mortgage broker and loan processor walked me through the entire qualifying process. They were so helpful! Colin the builder was great to work with, he was so accommodating with adjustments needed. He was very responsive and even recommended a landscaper! This was an amazing experience. The seller for K-hovnanian-homes was exceptional and cared for our wants and needs, as well as the contractor supervisor.

We bought our home sight unseen, moving from out of state. The pictures looked nice and they gave us updates throughout the building process, but when we arrived we were sad to see the terrible lack of craftsmanship in almost every aspect of the home. Cheapest parts they can possibly use everywhere. Cheapest paint I’ve ever seen and nearly no wall texture, with no option to pay for better quality paint in the build. Cracked grout and caulk all over the place. Sod directly over boulders and rocks no topsoil and a hill behind the home where we were told it would be a flat lot, making over half the backyard unusable. For the price you’re paying, this is not value for money. If buying from out of the area, at least make a trip to visit the model home first because even in there you can see the poor quality of materials they use. Once they get that $40K earnest money, there’s not much you can do except sit back and watch them build you a substandard house. Overall very sad experience for our family. Overall, the builder and home buying experience was great. We hit some snags due to the pandemic, but we made it through and I'm home! I have only had a couple of minor maintenance issues that were addressed immediately. An awesome team on the ground here. Many thanks for creating my beautiful forever home!

Good and safe place five star

This is my 5th time dealing with Khov . The staff is absolutely amazing. Shea Sparky Mariana from Khov Orlando are amazing people. You can close your eyes and do business with them all day long.

They rush you to settlement with open promises and never complete a task. They never show up for follow up appointments. There is no excuse for poor customer service. Totally under staffed but they keep starting new houses but never finish the others.

Love my new home. Only thing wrong that I came across was that the color of my house wasn't what I chose, which is upsetting. Also they never showed me proof of what I chose in the 1st place. My guess is the sales person put in my information wrong. So I'm stuck with what I have. Otherwise the house is up to what I expected it to be. Closing and getting everything together wasn't fun. No communication whatsoever until the very last minute, which as a 1st time homebuyer I thought was a nightmare. Would I buy from them again, yes I would. Having never purchased a model home before it was a little different. As far as the house goes, the quality of materials and quality of construction met or exceeded our expectations.

My problem was an unfortunate lack of reality between when the house was supposed to be done and when it was actually done. 3 weeks in a hotel with a dog isn’t anyone’s idea of fun, especially not the dog.

Attention to details are lacking. We didn’t get the attention and service that we should have gotten from the initial sales team. We would have appreciated more attention to detail and flexibility on K Hov part. Later on we did get the attention we needed. Only after we had to call time and time again.

Through all the different facets of building, KHov has been the greatest! Everyone I have worked with in their different expertise, has been caring, listened to my needs & took care of the situation. And, they did it with a "smile!" I love my new home.
