this house is very well done, there some small details that i would have different! but over all i give the experience a 98 percent out of 100! i have only been here 3 months , i will see how the future brings to us?! thanks. craig

Heather, Scott and Ayla are awesome. We love our new home. A little disappointed the quality of some of the products used (paint, dry wall, wall texture, cabinets). They look great, but probably won’t last long. Drywall is very bad quality, things we hang on the wall don’t stay because the drywall can’t support a hook.

Ryan H was a great cm and wish we had him since day 1!

Jazmine was very helpful, although it’s not the same as having your own realtor that can be there 24/7. Overall I’m pleased with the experience. HOA not so much but I knew they had HOA so it’s on me.

Good. But at the same time. I would like to have choice for: using Gas or Electricity or both. For the A/C and Heater.

Generally, a good experience. Building project manager and co-worker very responsive to questions and providing answers to questions. Having to travel from Fredericksburg, VA to Chantilly, VA to select specifice items for inside the house was not pleasant, and would have been more convenient if the same service were provided closer to the new community home site.

Hadn’t bought a home in over 30 years. KHOV made the experience as easy as possible. They are quick to respond to any issues we’ve had with the home. Very happy with our purchase.

She was both helpful and kind as on-site contact. My only disappointment was feeling like I was on a treadmill infant-forward during the purchase, mortgage process.

Location, location, location!!! They have always been the most important item when searching for and deciding on where to buy your primary residence. Next (in my opinion) are Construction Quality, Community Layout & Amenities, followed closely by Price Point / Perceived or Expected Value. Our experience with the K. Hovnanian Team was Excellent considering the important items mentioned above. My wife and I Highly Recommend K. Hovnanian builders and especially the Tower Hill community in Lewes, DE

Quality of work could have been better ( poor paint job and finish; drain & tiles in master bathroom had to be repaired shortly after we moved in; heating system & thermostat had to be serviced because they were not calibrated; cracks in driveway and garage floor of a brand new home; yard not level and drainage poor creating sloppy/sludgy areas).

We really love our new home from K.Hovnanian builders. The layout was perfect for our family and the lot size we found was a true gem. We've had a great relationship with our construction manager, John, and have found him to be very responsive. The location for this neighborhood is deal and well thought out. I do wish they were more diverse in their landscaping and had nicer finishes in the non main room areas (guest bath, closets, light fixtures, etc). Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the home upon delivery. The builders could afford to hire a cleaning crew to do a full, detail cleaning of the home prior to handing over the keys. It took us two days and 5 cleaning crew people to clean the dust, floors, and cabinetry. ... More

In general, it was a good experience, an efficient process. The overall finishes of the house are good, and the promptness in responding to warranty requests has been timely.

Very pleased with condition of home and time spent on time going over the home. However move in date was changed multiple times which made our move from Texas much more stressful than we had hoped

We had a pretty nice experience throughout the home buying process, from the initial earnest payment, to the design choices, all the way to the final closing day. The people we interacted with throughout the process were very professional and knowledgeable about their respective work. The construction process however could be improved a little to be really great for the home buyer. For instance, our first builder representative resigned close to house completion, and although our second builder was great at picking up where the first builder left off (and even now still helps us with any issues the house has), it would've been great to stick with the same person the whole way through. The workmanship wasn't perfect, and we still found items that needed fixing even after closing, most of them were fairly minor (paint touch-up, missing caulking, etc.). But overall the main and important items such as insulation, electrical, plumbing, structure were constructed well and so far there hasn't been any problems after living in the house for a few months now. Overall our experience with both builder reps were excellent and helpful with getting any questions we had answered, or would at least get back to us with any questions they couldn't answer. We do believe that for the price we paid, the quality could've been a little better. The saving grace is the warranty that comes with the house so at least any issues found post-closing could be addressed through the warranty. In all, the overall experience was great. Just be sure to ask your builder rep as many questions as you can and don't be shy to voice something that you don't like, even if it's something minor. And if you're in a situation where construction is getting rushed right before closing day, be especially diligent with searching for any areas the building crew may have rushed through. The garages are compact so take that into account. Insist on reviewing ALL terms and conditions (including the HOA guidelines) before you start the purchase. Don't be afraid to inquire about the overall site plan and schedule for the various phases of the community. But overall I am satisfied with the quality of our home constructed by K. Hovnanian. As a first time home buyer I learned a lot and the construction manager did a great job educating and informing me throughout the build process.

Our sales agent Craig was wonderful! Very kind, nice and attentive to our questions which made the experience very pleasurable.

Overall we love the floor plan we chose. The quality of the final touch ups on the paint are not that great. Also only one coast of paint seemed to be used so cleaning up marks on the walls do not go well. Working with most of the builder’s reps has gone ok with one exception. We were offered a refrigerator as an incentive and chose one, but a lesser price one was delivered.

Though we have owned several homes this was our first brand new home. It was completed almost 6 weeks ahead of schedule which we were not really prepared for but the home turned out beautifully. Unfortunately, accompanying services were not ready. We did not receive mail service, garbage pick up, and internet/TV service for 2 months after closing. Living without these amenities proved challenging and sometimes frustrating. Service from the recommended title company, Eastern National Title Agency, has been pitiful. Though we paid cash for the home, we still have not received a title or even a response from them after writing personally to Nelson G. If it wasn’t for the professionalism of your sales staff we would not be happy buyers of our 1st brand new home. ... More
