So far during my experience with KHOV they have been very responsive and pleasant to work with

It was my first home the process went fairly smooth. There was a few bumps in the road and getting it resolved was a bit of a hassle. But overall happy with the new home.

Rushed to close when house wasn’t ready. Resulted in workers doing shoddy job on house due to unrealistic deadlines. Workers didn’t take pride in their work. Items left unfinished or damage caused was un-repaired. When workers returned to complete work or repairs, they only completed a part of the job & then left. We repeatedly had to file requests for the same repairs.

Diana was amazing. From day one she took time to make sure our family were taken care of and maintained perfect communication on home updates. Josh was super friendly and the communication was perfect during final walk through. Matt was detailed and noticed things we didn’t during the frame walk through. He explained what each thing was and made it happen if it was missing. Over all experience was a 10/10

I’ll do the best I can to make this short and to the point. The sales women and the mortgage lady were great, I can’t say enough about their efforts and communication, 5* for them! Now, when it comes to the construction manager his communication, follow through and and ease to work with, was subpar at best. Apparently, there’s no quality control on his end, which is crazy, if he doesn’t do it, who does? No one, I can tell you that. The final walkthrough was bad, horrible drywall and painting. Even after they spent a whole day in there making repairs and touch ups, I’m going to have to spend thousands to have a drywall company come in and make the proper repairs, before we paint. To add to the final construction, horrible trim work too, 45 the corners, when they should be coped, basically caulking everything to hide the amateur trim job. I knew when we walked the model, and I made comments about the trim, paint and drywall, I was told they had new contractors, since the model was built. If proper quality control was done, I doubt he even walked the house, some of the issues were so blatant, that it showed he didn’t care or even check on the progress. Now when it was time to set up our meet ups he was horrible to deal with too. I work swing shift and the wife started a new job and we asked him for just a little flexibility, there was absolutely none, it was in his terms and times and that was it. He said it was because he “wears many hats” and that he likes to be home round 12-1 to start working on paperwork, that just says he doesn’t control his job sites and it shows on the construction and final product. Even look at our back yard, concrete left in the yard, garbage everywhere, just looked horrible. Very disappointed in his performance. They were always present during the experience. The quality is great and the people were very helpful throughout the process. They finished the home exactly when they said they would.

Very good communication, quality, and drive to make it right for us. Very pleased with the whole process!

From salesman to builder management is very professional in my opinion. They reply very quick to all the claims and issues I’ve reported and handled it very professional. I’ve read a lot of reviews and I don’t know why there’s a lot of complaints, but so far I’m very happy of my new house and felt happy that I’ve made a right choice going with KHov. I’m definitely will recommend KHov to all my friends and family who would like to build a house in the future and would definitely go with KHov if we happen to want a second home.

Great service but unfortunately the final touches in my house were subpar. The painting was ridiculous. I will be needing to paint the house again. If they can improve on quality inspection before handing the keys over then that would be great!

The builder was very conscientious, personable, and communicated with me throughout the process. Any concerns I had were handled professionally and in a timely manner.

Every person that we dealt with from the onsite sales team to the Construction Superintendent was a joy to work with.

Their lack of communication with the home buyer made our experience awful. We have built with other builders before and we never had a poor response to issues with them. The lack of knowledge of their homes designs, upgrades, and questions we had was poor. We felt like they didn’t care about us, in fact we received other peoples information from Hovnanian mortgage, which was concerning since it happen more then once. The way we received our settlement date was outrageous! We never received a formal letter, or any commutation that our home was going to settle near the date on our signed contracts! We always heard from our sales representative that settlement date is always subject to change. Three weeks prior to settlement they still had no idea? Please! We found out through a email chain, NO direct communication or formal letter!. Thank goodness we lock in our mortgage when we did, since our sales representative told us to wait for letter from Hovnanian regarding settlement date! Again, very poor communication! We our very thankful for our on site construction manager (Ralph) he was open, and communicated to us, he was the only thing that made our experience better! We had problems with our furnace before settlement and we are still having issues afterwards, no HEAT. Thank goodness again for the construction manager he was able see what was wrong. Unfortunately, we think this issue will not be solved, which worries us, since we lost heat again on Thanksgiving. We were very impressed with the attention to detail throughout the build process. The global pandemic drug things on longer than we have thoroughly enjoyed being in the home for the holidays. And the site manager (Alex R) was the absolute best. The regular communications and responsiveness to our questions helped ease any concerns that popped up.

Buying/closing experience went well. Builder was clearly rushed to deliver home. Items found after closing should have been addressed prior to settlement. Work towards the end was sloppy in places.

Very little flexibility and most upgrades are pre-determined and included in the house, which you have to purchase.

Everything is finished to a 6' standard but once you get close its all beginner level trades doing the work. Door frame joint over a 1/2" out and use caulk to fill. Had a shower value not even brazed. Basement slab not even sealed so always chalky. Drywall dust and mud in grain of floor and hand rails. Carpet is super thin and cheap ( even with the 10lb padding upgrade) had cleaning crews still cleaning during walk threw so didn't find dirt and nasty floors till ink was dry cause floors where wet still have miss match tile Grout in shower ( 4 weeks later) the title says it all basically got a $350k house with $200k finishes in it for over $500k. Not one drywall wrapped door is even close to square or true ( going be a pain to install a door if I ever want to. D4y wall finishers where vary sloppy and barley have a level 2 finish in side and not even sure how the garage passed inspection cause it the lowest fire proof I've ever seen ( missing mud, tape not sealed ext... I could go on for days. Koner tried his best but he can only do what the company says and that is a low standard. Be vigilant and pay attention buy there house. Its all fixable but shouldn't have to fix it all on a new house ... More

The customer service across the board was outstanding! The seller, builder, home design center, and lender were great. The overall experience was top notch. I would definitely recommend K. Hov to everyone for their home buying needs!

Great experience with buying our first home. The ladies in the office, Alissa and Eva, were awesome! Always ready to help or answer our questions. They kept us up-to-date on the progress of the house throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend a KHovanian house to anyone.

Flexibility in selection of upgrades could have been better. Kitchen appliances could have been better, or not have been included in the price so that the customers can buy what they like.

Joey made the process of buying a home from K.Hov easy. He was there to answer any questions we had and responded in a timely manner. Matt was super helpful in walking us through our new home and explaining everything about the home. He was very attentive in addressing things that needed corrective action throughout the process.

The builders were honest in what to expect with delays in our current environment. They were responsive during the building process and answered all questions in a timely manner. The only caveat is the lack of flexibility to get certain options in your home...like different bathroom cabinets. I had one option and I will probably end up having it redone. The journey to getting the home completed was painless.
