Don’t trust the builder you have to hire some expert and inspector to check behind him because those people try to get over you in a small thing and the warranty is the worst warranty you could have in your life. People response. Doesn’t do the right job small bathroom take three months to finish it, and all the excuses, please guys hier expert inspector before you deal with this people tried to give you a hard time to give up and don’t ask for any thing more if even include the warranty

After being told the home would be completed by March 2nd, we shortened our lease to end by May correspond. We received numerous delays, some at the last minute and then had to request various extensions from our landlord. After being assigned 3 different construction managers, we finally received a closing date of June 29th, thankfully as our landlord advised we could not have any additional extensions. There were a few items not completed, the main item being the specialty from door we selected and paid for. It was to be installed the day after closing and stained the day after that. We had not time to allow for the items to be completed prior to moving in because we had to be out of our rental. The door was installed on July 1st and the construction manager advised it was to be stained a few days later and the proper hardware installed. After unanswered emails, and only after the amazing sales person April stepped in to assist us, did we receive a response from the construction manager, Chris (a month later). He’s now advised someone will be out to stain the door tomorrow August 4th. I won’t hold my breath. Also, there is a section of one of our walls which they completely missed applying texture to. This was also noted prior to closing and never fixed. The constant delays and lack of responses from every construction manager we have been assigned has ensured I would never recommend this builder to any family or friends. Your company really needs to get construction managers who are responsive and sub contractors who pay more attention to the details of the build. Very bad experience, there were so many thing were wrong and not working properly.

To start our salesperson did not promptly return calls about questions we had. She also told us the house came with 2 outside compressors for air conditioning. She was more inclined to give an answer the customer would want to hear than what the truth was. Our project supervisor, Troy came across to me as cocky and lay the blame on somebody else or had an excuse. The last thing that made the whole process terrible was the home builder charged us a large sum of money because the closing date was not communicated properly to anyone especially us. There is a lot more detail that can be shared with whoever cares but our overall experience was a disaster but when the builder holds all the cards at the end you either follow their instructions or forfeit a lot of money. Very poor sales person and construction manager. They make changes that they want to and does not value the buyer at The Parks at Rosehill.

Had roof leaking issues and still not fixed. Khov don’t take good care of their buyers.

Super nice upon first meeting. Was told we had 24 hours to decide on lot w/o a deposit. Called 20 mins after visit to set up earnest and was told the lot we chose was “sold”. Sales person Heather G was always “out”, stopped doing the weekly follow up calls as promised, hardly responded to texts. Lied about various parts of building process instead of just saying she didn’t know the answer. We had 4 general contractors during the entire process. Eric T was amazing!. Did all he said he would do and then some. He was responsive and caring! If it weren’t for him we would have walked away from the house completely! The quality of the home for the money paid is crap! The trades don’t pay attention to detail. The “upgrades” aren’t really upgrades and I’m constantly filing warranty claims, been in the house for a month. I will never buy a K Hovanian home again! ... Lack of pride the staff at KHOV took in the brand I constantly had to remind them this is their brand and should have more pride. I mentioned that when viewing my home 1 week prior to the final walkthrough there was a bottle of urine in the master closet and the toilet looked so horrific I almost lost my lunch. I pointed out lack of quality in craftsmanship during the walkthrough obvious fixtures that were put in and not even straight and clearly visible to everyone who bothered to look at the work. In my master bathroom the shower seat was not straight had gaps between the wall. I feel KHOV does NO quality control. My home the stairs to the attic did not close I was told it would be corrected prior to close. It took 46 days to get this repaired after several calls filling out service orders and it became a comedy routine of let's try this or that and my personal favorite was bringing a tool over and asking me to see if I could get it to work. On the day I closed I got to my home so excited to put the key in the door and enter my home. Well that was another fail with a list of many. They changed the locks, but forgot to check to see if the keys they gave me worked on the door. Again basic quality control and common sense. I had always heard that KHOV was a brand you could trust I have not found that to be the case. Kitchen draws so misaligned they did not close correctly, half painted trim, missed paint on the walls and an overall lack of concern for the buyer. I originally thought it was a discrimination issue, but after hearing from other people in the neighborhood and reviewing each issue I came to the conclusion this is the way they conduct business. My advice if you are weighing options between a KHOV home and another builder go with the OTHER Builder. ... More

Worst first time homebuying experience for my family.

Run away as far as you can from any KHov built home. They rush to build their homes and when you call them on the short cuts, they gaslight you until you've signed on the dotted line.

I'm honestly not happy at all with my brand new home purchase. 3 months into the home having major electricity issues. Major leak from my kitchen and master bathroom. Have had issues from day one. And poor workmanship. Interior doors in the home are paper thin. Paying a premium price for the home and to get cheap materials is nor a good feeling to have.

This was our first time home buying experience and right after the earnest deposit, things started going south for us. Sales was never supportive and never informed about updates on time. Post closing, we realised the house is full of substandard material and seems they hired novice workers to build the house. Every time we have an issue with the house and lodge a complain, they send post sales maintenance person whose sole aim is to just close the ticket without working on it. He is the most unfriendly and unprofessional staff you will ever meet with and is a nightmare to deal with.

never again I will purchase with this builder

Starting from sales to closing, I had every very bad experience and quality is very bad.. I might choose wrong option and i don't recommend for any one.. I see very poor architecture, workmanship, quality.. There were many damages and feel very poor quality materials and clearly reflect negligence of the builder. Dish washer is not event connected with power cable and with in two weeks in two baths we are using,, three lights are not working..

I would not build with K Hovanian. Did not consider this a best in class experience. Buying the largest floor plan they offer,i expected more than what was offered. It was after I started having issues that I went o line n saw the bad reviews. I should hv checked.

I could author and publish an entire book on our experience building with K Hovnanian. When we initially put down a deposit for our premium lot, we were told by the sales girl that K Hov was considered "the Taj Mahal of custom homes." This was just the start of many lies we were told. The sales/community manager assigned to our neighborhood is supposed to be the one and only point of contact for customers throughout the entire process. This person was the most degrading, dishonest and unresponsive human I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It was so bad we had to go up the chain of command to the VP/Director levels to get a new sales rep. The materials used are literally the cheapest you could buy at any home supply store. We have already had to replace several items in the home after just 1 month. The workmanship is some of the worst you will ever see. Please know that almost every single worker building your home will be a day laborer with absolutely zero days of experience in construction. I don't believe they had any skilled labor working here with the exception of the plumber and electrician. None of the walls are plumb or straight. The flooring is uneven and installed very poorly. The masonry work is some of the worst you will see with mortar messily spread all over the brick and stone. Trim and baseboards inside twist and turn like a country road. During the building process we were over here every single day pointing out poor workmanship and "upgrades" that were poorly installed or forgotten about completely. We were constantly told that everything was fine and within the industry standard (which we have confirmed from an independent general contractor was a total lie). Any "upgrades" we chose were installed so poorly that they look horrible. Some examples of this would include stone on the outside of the home covered in concrete splatter, iron balusters for a staircase scratched all the way down to the metal/installed crooked/covered in stain, and a gas oven which does not seal correctly letting natural gas into the home. All of this was brought up to the builder before closing and was ignored and never fixed. As I initially mentioned, I could write an entire 300+ page book on our experience. The bottom line is, absolutely do not under any circumstances build your home with this company. This is easily the worst decision my wife and I have ever made. ... More
