I would recommend K. Hovanian to anyone looking to purchase a home. I had a great home buying experience with this company and I love my home. It is reasonably priced and they helped me with my closing cost. I know it’s not a buyers market but if you’re looking to buy a home, please use K. Hovanian. The builder is great and the warranty is exceptional!!!

Sales person were very attentive and quick to help resolve any issues, only concern is the minimal customizing option once we select the pallets

Home is not worth the price paid. For a million dollar home i expected there to be some good finishes but as i live in the home i notice there are some things that could be improved on.

I had a great experience with K.Hov as a first time home buyer. Not knowing what to expect or should expect with the process, K.Hov made it easy and provided a high level of customer service along the way. Everyone has been nice, responsive, and have done the right thing when questions have come up after the sale.

The process of building the house was pretty good even though much of it had to be done from out of state. Nick in sales was very responsive and accommodating. The build was done 1 month early which was a major benefit for our family. The process of buying was smooth with Khov financing even though our 1st payment never went to Khov because they sold the loan the day after we signed. The warranty support has been prompt. The longer we are in it, though, the more we can tell that the quality of work in some places is sloppy. (Ex. tile work in the bathrooms, carpet laid over trash, missed painting over primer, the finishing work like caulking throughout the home, overall attention to detail, etc). You can also tell when you get a closer look, some of the materials used are not quality products (ex. the top tier carpet is still builder grade, some of the wood work is pressed boards, etc). Everyone was very helpful throughout the whole process and answered all questions. Everyone also helped understand any information that was given.

We love our new home. The experience was turnkey and very smooth and seamless. I appreciate the beautiful craftsmanship of our new home.

Its a great experience buying a new house and the first day we signed the contract was norhing short. The closing was smooth with most of the issues taken care of before and some after. There are still some issues and quirks that we are realizing and I am sure it would be taken care but wish the builders were thoughtful in the design and quality of construction. The construction area was always dirty and we are seeing aideeffects of yhe same 4 mobths after closing with windows stained and drawers not sliding. These are minor though but could have been taken care of. The builders mortgage company ensured that they took back every dime that was allocated for a closing costs, very sly and cunning trick. But then everybody is trying to get every dime out of the customers pocket. All in all. I am happy with this place we call home. ... More

Happy with buying a home with you guys

I have been unable to get my air conditioning to work properly.been in touch with warranty dept .they have been really helpful .but also unable to get my air conditioning problem resolved.

I had an issue with water break and couldn’t o cult home for 2-3 weeks this is all after 2 weeks of closing Expected khov to ribose me with reimbursement for having to extend my lease by two Months still Not even one phone call

Would not recommend anyone to buy here honestly some things I see where you guys cut corners to save cost house was 358000 I feel robbed definitely worth a good 150,000 not satisfied me and my neighbors garbages are not the lengths they’re supposed to be counter tops in my bathrooms are very cheap the 3 front room are so SMALL I can barely fit a bed and dresser in them I’m counting down until I can sell and go with a better builder

Not satisfied with the overall experience. There was gas leakage and water leakage initially when they handed over the house. There are zero fans inside the house. Bathroom tiles are of not good quality.

Buying experience was great.Overall I will recommend some one. The sales person was super friendly and very committed to her job.

I had too many issues with my home

Pros: High value for money, great layouts Cons: Cuts corners in quality in frw places, very inflexible in terms accomodating even simple change requests

Well I signed my contract on October 11, 2021 and did not close until April 21, 2023. So can I say it was a long process but eventually it happened. The financial portion was good plus I was a Mortgage Broker so I knew the documents needed. I’m very satisfied with the overall house and location. I know a lot had to do with the county of Dallas backloads but I had to pay a lot of money living month to month because the house was supposed to be completed on certain dates and that did not happen. But I appreciate all the phone calls and reassurance that it will happen, the completion.

We have several warranty issues that have been issues since the day we moved in and have still not been resolved Our first warranty person was amazing but I do not know where she went. Her name was Skai I know we have been out on vacation but we told our warranty guy we had my 30 year old son staying at the house and still nothing has been done. We have a dishwasher that leaks water all over the house every time we run it. our HVAC sucks. Our countertops are still not been refinished. Our top stair needs to be refinished. There is wood stain spilled all over. The laminate wood flooring threshold’s are popping up. So definitely not a good quality for $1 million house. We were not given the option to purchase blinds as many of our neighbors were even when I asked our sales representative Kyle about it. It’s idiotic that you would put a clear glass window in a bathroom so that all the neighbors can just see you naked. This is the third house we built and fourth house we’ve owned and the worst quality. The landscaping you put in absolutely sucks. If you look at the Taylor Morrison homes, their landscaping is far superior and their house price point is a lot less. ... More

Our salesmen Beau was dishonest and told us multiple inaccuracies about of Spec home. Promised a closing date that could not be met and multiple changes to our plans with zero communication. Our builder Jake was the main reason we decided to finalize our purchase. He was upfront with us on the actual timeline for completion. He communicated with us daily when issues arose and ensured we were comfortable with the home. Couldn’t be happier with Jake and Aaron finishing our home.

The overall experience of buying our house was awesome . The staff was very professional and personable . They definitely listened to what our needs were.

Overall the house is nice. Get into the details and its terrible they spoon feed you what you want to hear landscaping is trash. Many other problems if i didnt already put 10k towards the house i would have backed out due to lack of communication betwee khov employees and us yhe buyer

First home buying experience. We were very excited. Disappointed to find that our builder simply couldn't be bothered to hold the contractors to a high standard. His exact words when we pointed out the terrible tile work around our fireplace were, "our tile guys are B grade". We were told that we could have them re do it but it could be worse. We didn't have the option to delay closing. There were other things we didn't catch as well. Out of square door frames, cabinet doors not the same size with off color replacements. Garage and Driveway were finished badly.

From the initial visit and meeting with the K. Hovnanian representative, Kristina, to our actual move in date, the process of selecting a home was stress free. Though new to the State of Texas, we are not first time home owners and we knew exactly what we wanted. The Khov rep stayed in contact with us and answered any and all of our questions throughout the process. We eventually came to know another person on the Khov team, Jacob, and he further explained anything having to do with the actual construction of the home.
