My experience was overall great. There were a few times when material was delayed or no longer available due to being out of stock but Mike, my sales rep, kept me informed and made sure things continued with finding other options. Beau, who initially managed my construction, had moved to a different neighborhood, but Jacob eventually took over and saw it to then end making sure the schedule was followed as much as possible. Everybody worked hard to make sure I was satisfied with my home.

There were no delays and we closed early. They answered our concerns and provided excellent customer service.

My construction manager, Charlie, communicated with me throughout the building process and was quick to respond if I had any issue, even after I had moved in. The sales team in the office, Brenda and Lisa, were kind, friendly extremely competent, quick to help with questions or concerns.

I wish the builders would have completed corrections before closing

The process was okay, but not the best for my first homebuying experience. There was a lot of lack of communication and just general issues that were shoved under the rug. I do not recommend the KHov Mortgage company at all. The woman assigned to me was new and did not answer any of my questions, instead just rushed me and tried to get my money. If I had to do it again I would be going with a personal lender.

As background, I have moved around the country a few times and have worked with a few builders previously and so I have some perspective on the level of service and expertise generally provided. That being said, I would like to take the time to point out the exceptional service that the entire K Hov team has provided. The level of care and attention to detail he provided is truly exceptional. Considering all of the difficulties associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, strained supply chains, and crazy weather in the Houston area I would have expected some unavoidable deficits in service. To my great surprise, this was not only not the case but the experience K Hov provided far outpaces any previous experiences I have had. Starting with meeting the buyer representative to the pre-construction meeting, throughout the entire process to cloising, the buyer rep, foreman, and finance team were knowledgeable, professional, and highly detailed. They remained in contact with us throughout the home building process and took the time to go into detail about every aspect of construction, home care in the Houston environment, and thoroughly explained the warranty coverage. We had a high degree of confidence that when the team said something was being done, we simply knew it was being handled. We truly felt that the K Hov team exercised the same level of care in building a home for my family as he would have if building his own home. We feel very satisfied for the entire process. The sales people and the project manager are very nice and very helpful. The house is high quality and value. It is good price for retired people like us with the good quality. We checked the job site and communicate with the builder's team frequently. The project manager is very nice and patient. He helped us to solve the problem quickly. Our house roof is very tall. We were worried about some problem and made appointment with the regional manager. I was well informed about the challenges the market is experiencing. Even with all the challenges with brick and lumber KHOV completed my home almost on time.

The builders, loan providers have lack in professionalism.

Buying a new build is usually with certain doubts! A perfectly good looking model home can never guarantee your house will be the same, especially when you have no experiences/references on the builder. We find ourselves lucky with K Hovnanian as our house finally turned out great and up to our expectation. We are really impressed with Bannon at the final walk through and Amanda in Sales helped to extend the closing time.

The constructors are very nice.

The overall experience was pleasant. The sales portion could've been better for a first time home-owner, however the construction team and process was exceptional.

Charlie was extremely helpful throughout the building/walkthrough/closing process. He answered all our questions patiently, and also made sure that all the pending work was taken care of before closing. This allowed us to close the house even when we were remore. Lisa was equally helpful all throughout the process. Thank you for a great service.

I was relocating to Texas and the housing market was going crazy but I went with this home because of the price and the sales team and builders were super helpful throughout the whole process. The kept me informed every step of the way and with any issues that came up they were right there willing to assist.

I felt like I was neglected by your loan officer Ken then I get pressure to use the builders mortgage company at the last minute. The side of my home has been saturated with mud and standing water before I closed. It has been very disappointing; there is no grass and you have to wear mud boots to walk on side of the home. Peyton has responded very quickly to the number of oversights with the home but has yet to remedy the problem

Everyone says it’s stressful building a new home. It was honestly not bad, the whole process went almost perfect if it wasn’t for 2 weeks of straight rain at the very end. Some materials came late but that’s normal due to the current situation. Every week we would get updates and pictures on everything. Everyone responded quickly which was a big help.

My experience with K. Hovnanian was nothing but great. The construction managers communicated almost every step. The sales rep where very helpful and made sure they could answer any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend this builder for anyone buying a new home or looking for a new home
