Our salesperson, and construction manager were great, and a pleasure to work with. They overcame some big hurdles to make sure we got what we wanted.

Great people just inspect good the home but otherwise very good.

Everyone at K Hovnanian Homes was wonderful and so helpful throughout the process. A few downside - I did not get the farmhouse sink I wanted even if I requested this change in the early phase of construction and was willing to pay the difference. I just wish there was some flexibility; had issues with our granite countertops not being presealed and us not being informed. But overall, a great experience. I would like to give a shoutout to our construction manager who was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had prior to and once we moved to our new home.

Looooove our new home! But it seems that the builders cut way too many corners or don’t pay attention to detail. Many cosmetic flaws are very noticeable even to our visitors. Our fence was falling apart when we moved in. Khov was quick to fix which is good! But since the area where I purchased my khov home prices homes high, I would think they put in more supervision to each home that is built. Walk throughs are not enough.

First I want to say if it wasn’t for Brandy the experience would be a lot worse. From start to finish Brand made sure we were always informed and feeling good about our house. Truly was the big reason we bought with Khov. The building and construction side I just never trusted the process. This not my first build so I have understanding how it should go. Really felt like my house didn’t have someone watching over it and the contractors could do whatever they want. Then we would send notes to help fix and really would never get an answer or waited till final will through and then was still fixing issues after I signed. We have a lot of things we picked out not happen or get something else. Didn’t see like the construction team really cares about the selection sheet. If we didn’t say something I’m sure we would of got upgrades we didn’t pay for but was put in. We had a small issue with how our dishwasher was framed. They addressed and on final walkthrough it was worse what they fixed. What was said is well our contractor do things differently depending who does it. Weird answer when I knew how to fix it. Then they came back to fix it and it looked better and we thought it was done. Then came back a third time to fix it again. Just seems like contractors do what they want and the team accepts hoping the customer doesn’t say anything. Attention to detail just lacks on the construction team. They are all very nice and I know a lot of changes have happen but my home is forever. We will be using the warranty a lot cause the more you live in there the more I notice. My last home that was built I didn’t use it once cause the attention to detail was amazing. Which I’m sure only helps the bottom line in a business. Always willing to give more fees back if asked. If you have a truck ensure your attempt to put it in the garage to see if it fits. This is something I didn’t do and wish I did. My truck doesn’t fit in my garage forcing me to park across the street

The lawn was poorly laid, leaving uneven, unleveled areas. Some areas has holes covered by sod, creating a potential fall and injury hazard. There are several areas of the tiled floor that are uneven, indicating poor leveling prior to installation. Several areas along the base boards and tile has paint spotting that was not cleaned up prior to the completion of sale. It does not appear that there was any attempt to make-ready the house. In other words, the windows are all smeared, some door don't latch when pulled to, mulching of the gardens was half done. One garage door was without an opener. I've purchased other properties and have not seen this before. My move-in has only been about 4 months, and with work and limited time I've not been able to cover all aspects of the house. The quality of some items in the house can be better. The wood look tile is uneven in some areas, causing our feet to catch. This should have been done right. Overall the home is fair. We do love the floor plan and neighborhood. Just some things in the home that could have been done right and/or better.

My experience has been mixed. During the home buying process we were working with Paul. When we decided to put an offer on our house. He wrote up the purchase agreement and said we would get 10,000 in incentives which includes a buy out of our current lease and two fans in our home. The next day he calls and says I can no longer offer what I promised. I can only offer $7,000 and only one fan. But don’t worry I’ll buy the other fan with my own money. Then it became you have to fill out a survey once you buy the house and give us a high rating then you will get your second fan. When my realtor called him one time with a question. He told her I just came back from vacation I don’t have time to deal with this right now. Josue the builder also made a lot of promises he didn’t keep. One being to lower the shelf in my laundry room because it’s too high. The toilet paper holder in the master bedroom was never put on the wall correctly. I called him to fix it. He came out looked at it and said you are correct but I forgot my tools and I’ll come back tomorrow to fix it. Never saw him again. I love my home but as I am living in it I can tell it was a rushed job to get it done in time for closing. ... More

The design of our home and quality compared to other builders is great. However several of the contractors they use don’t take pride in their work and do the bare minimum. They building manager Ismael was quick to respond and always said he would have all the needed contractors out to fix issues on the same day so I didn’t have to keep missing work. However that never happened and there was always excuses which kept causing me to miss more work. Matt got involved and repairs seem to be going better. We also were not made aware of the huge water issues in this neighborhood and were shocked to find that a full water softener/filtration system is absolutely necessary. The process of buying was smooth and enjoyable. However, the quality and craftsmanship has proved to be an issue. I do have confidence they will assist with making things better.

We felt on our walk through was rushed. and then we felt the house wasn't cleaned as well as we thought it should be upon move in. Couple of issues we noted on walk through were brushed off. (for example...".Oh just put some cleaner on that"...) We did eventually get things taken care of but not until after we made a list and it was fixed through warranty.. But it really shouldn't have been done that way. We do like our home....

The process was good. Just be sure to express your concerns and follow through with them. We’re thankful for an amazing realtor and great sales team that helped pull the weight of the construction team.

We love our KHovnanian home! The very few issues we’ve had after moving in have been taken care of and the house feels very well built. We liked the floor plans and we’re glad to find one that fit everything we needed in our first home together.

I felt good about my purchase a little upsetting with the final move in. The quality is subpar as far as the materials used. As for the builders team, they were not as efficient nor effective as to all that was promised. (Touch up paint after move in, none was left as promised, after inquiring I was told they don’t do that anymore, no cleaning after work completed. No timely response to my questions and issues. Overall I would purchase a new home with khov

The only thing that I did not like about the K.Hovnanian home is the quality of the kitchen cabinets.

Since I moved in 3 months ago I have had two leaks in the bathroom Doors knobs are falling apart leaks coming from the blinds I am not happy even though issues there fixed this is a brand new build I should not be having theses issues especially for the price of the home and the company that build it

The overall experience was good. I did not like the one-sided contracts that say f the buyer and protect the builder. There was a lack of communication from the front office especially after I did my part to make sure that everything was ready for closing. We closed late and no communication was sent before the day of the original closing. I enjoyed working with Sammie because he was the only person who was honest about the whole process and was helpful even after I moved into the home. Very nice and genuine guy for sure. I love the community and have not experienced major issues.

I love the neighborhood of the home and the customer service was great. Thewas completed as scheduled for closing

We chose KHov because of the layouts and Brandi. She was so helpful with helping us decided on a home and walk us through all the options. We loved how easy she made the process and how informative she was. However, the closing felt rushed and the house we moved into was not the picture perfect home I believed we were signing for. We went through 2 walk throughs with blue tape to point out areas that needed work and yet I am typing this as I stare at some blue tape on a baseboard that still needed work. Christian was very nice about listening to my concerns with the “finished” product but more than a handful of minor issues around the house are still not done. It’s frustrating because each tiny issue alone is not a huge deal but when I go to clean up around the house the sloppy finishes around the trim work, window frames, and kitchen cabinets is such a let down. So although I would not go out of my way to talk negatively about KHov, I would definitely advise friends looking to buy a house to look at all options, ask more questions, and be prepared to delay closing until the house is actually finished. ... Our sales rep, Rick was great. We believe that he went above and beyond to help us with all the issues that arose during our new home build. With the restraints of some building materials, with the help of Rick, we were still able to close on our home on the original given date.
