Too many issues since buying the house. The builder is taking care of the issues immediately but still it’s just too annoying to deal with so many issues and especially for the price paid for the house. The house is just too expensive for the quality provided.

By far the best buying experience we've ever had, so much so that we even referred my sister who also bought a house in the same subdivision! I cannot speak highly enough for Susan, our sales agent, Alan and Roger who helped with the construction. The house is very sound, quiet, the experience was a breeze, and the overall enthusiasm from the team was great. Everyone that has seen our home has had nothing but praises, and we could not be happier. However, I do have 1 complaint, and that is with the finishing and use of finishing materials. Towards the end, all of the touch up work, finishing, trim, paint were clearly very rushed. The quality of workmanship is extremely poor with lots of areas needing touch ups, broken/chipped tiles, one of the stair railings shaking a lot, almost noen of the spindles are flush with the base of the stairs leaving a significant gap, and almost every single piece of trim/moulding is damaged with dents and defects throughout the house (framing around doors, baseboards, etc). I understand builders grade material is used for these types of construction homes but the defects should have been patched, sanded, and then painted rather than just covered up with paint. We've found the same issue on the exterior of the house as well Although these are just cosmetic issues, they really take away from the "polished" look we would expect for a new home. I will include all of these on my 45 day list of items that need to be revisited/fixed. I don't expect a new build to be perfect and I'm glad the builder has been responsive. This is what has made my experience absolutely wonderful with K. Hovnanian. It was a new build of a planned subdivision, so the workmanship (precision) of the painting and sealing seems normal or average to what I have seen in the past (obvious brush strokes on floorboards, caulk an other stuff not removed from surfaces, and builder materials inhibiting drain closure on bathtubs). I would think for the price paid there could have been more attention to detail before I moved in. However, so far all items have been addressed and the builder (Grant) has been very prompt in doing so. Last new build I bought, the builder actually lived next to me, and I did not get the responsiveness that I would have liked. ... More

The overall experience was a great one. There are things that could be improved such as the quality of the drywall finishing. I’ve been in the house 2 weeks and already have cracked areas that I am submitting for warranty work.

Overall this was a great experience with all parties involved. Only critique I would suggest is response time to customer issues with their home.

Buying exp with KH was clean and easy. And the incentives was great. There r few thing they need to focus is the quality of accessories like door locks and the electric buttons.

I had no idea I would be able to purchase a new home until speaking with K. Hovnanian. They said yes and made the process easy. Step by step and walked with my family the entire time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

She worked with us, answered every question we had and just made the experience better than our previous purchases with other companies

For the most part everything has been great. Our shoe mold looks terrible and parts have came loose a couple times which they just come and patch. I have asked multiple times for it all to be fixed but still looks just as bad. Other than this issue we have just had minor things here and there that were fixed quickly.

Everything is good, I’m happy with this house and builders team are awesome who were involved to help me to get it.

Rhonda and Jeremy are fantastic and went above and beyond in helping us. The quality of the home could be better. During the inspection the shower door was leaking water, mirrors weren't centered over the sinks in the bathroom, barn door was hung on the wrong side of the wall. The painters could of done a better job. We have to remove paint from the floor ourselves. The bath tub creaks when you stand in it. Jeremy has helped in resolving alot of these issues

First of all, we are enjoying our new home! We have recently had A/C issues and the warranty policy came through but, it took them a week to resolve the problem. And another issue is why would the builder install 24” doors going into the bathrooms? We also had a water leak issue at the water meter in which we had to hire a plumber to fix and turned requests for reimbursement along with video to water supply company and have not received any response! The homes are beautiful, but everything was built cheap. Materials under was the cheapest materials ever.

I bought my house from K Hovnanian in 7/2022. The process was easy and swift. Although a few minor paint and scuff flaws, the foundation of the house seems it was built to last. Sales and builder agents are responsive and helpful.

My home buying experience has been pretty easy with the folks at K. Hov. It helps when you have your items in line and can make the process smoother for all. All of those I encountered during this process were very communicative and polite. Given the times we are in, a little kindness goes a very long way. I owe a few folks a THANK YOU gift!!

The Sales team members in our sales office are fantastic. As well as the Construction Manager. They were awesome to work with. In all honesty, I feel the over all community and surroundings could be improved especially with the high taxes that we have. It is surprising that my relatives in Cypress that live in the established neighborhood of Longwood pay over a thousand less in taxes a year. I thought with the trailer community across the road that our taxes would be reasonable and much less than they are. My urgent situation now is dealing with the warranty on our home. We already have a big issue with our roof and contacted the warranty company and they wanted an email. That was last week and we still have not heard back. This is concerning because we have ripples and concave spots in our roof. How can we get this taken care of timely? Especially if there is underlying damage? ... More
