Good experience overall

My experience was great with the agent I worked with very knowledgeable and professional,prompt on all matters.

The sales team is very attentive and easy to work with despite the various moving pieces. The neighborhood is super quiet which is a huge plus as it’s filled with mature and responsible working professionals. Overall home is good but the very small backyard is taking some time to get used to. I would have been ok with a smaller footprint for more backyard.

Ismail and Suzanne are very helpful in getting all processes done in a timely manner.

The home is nice, I can tell there the materials are not top notch and some corners were cut. But, we are here now and the things that are done poorly we will just update on our end.

Sales Consultant was great and responsive as well as the construction manager.

It was our first home to build and it all went great and smooth for the most part. Peter “Our Sales Rep” did a awesome job on helping us with everything and seemed always available when we need him.

The builder is very meticulous in ensuring that residents are safe and secure in their new home. The builder took extra time to meet the tastes of the residents. The builder added modern features to accommodate the needs and tastes of the residents. The building is equipped with latest modern technology.

Overall the whole buying process from beginning to the end was very smooth. I got help instantly everytime. Would definitely buy another K. HOV.

Too many issues since buying the house. The builder is taking care of the issues immediately but still it’s just too annoying to deal with so many issues and especially for the price paid for the house. The house is just too expensive for the quality provided.

By far the best buying experience we've ever had, so much so that we even referred my sister who also bought a house in the same subdivision! I cannot speak highly enough for Susan, our sales agent, Alan and Roger who helped with the construction. The house is very sound, quiet, the experience was a breeze, and the overall enthusiasm from the team was great. Everyone that has seen our home has had nothing but praises, and we could not be happier. However, I do have 1 complaint, and that is with the finishing and use of finishing materials. Towards the end, all of the touch up work, finishing, trim, paint were clearly very rushed. The quality of workmanship is extremely poor with lots of areas needing touch ups, broken/chipped tiles, one of the stair railings shaking a lot, almost noen of the spindles are flush with the base of the stairs leaving a significant gap, and almost every single piece of trim/moulding is damaged with dents and defects throughout the house (framing around doors, baseboards, etc). I understand builders grade material is used for these types of construction homes but the defects should have been patched, sanded, and then painted rather than just covered up with paint. We've found the same issue on the exterior of the house as well Although these are just cosmetic issues, they really take away from the "polished" look we would expect for a new home. I will include all of these on my 45 day list of items that need to be revisited/fixed. We had a good home buying experience。

I don't expect a new build to be perfect and I'm glad the builder has been responsive. This is what has made my experience absolutely wonderful with K. Hovnanian. It was a new build of a planned subdivision, so the workmanship (precision) of the painting and sealing seems normal or average to what I have seen in the past (obvious brush strokes on floorboards, caulk an other stuff not removed from surfaces, and builder materials inhibiting drain closure on bathtubs). I would think for the price paid there could have been more attention to detail before I moved in. However, so far all items have been addressed and the builder (Grant) has been very prompt in doing so. Last new build I bought, the builder actually lived next to me, and I did not get the responsiveness that I would have liked. ... More

The overall experience was a great one. There are things that could be improved such as the quality of the drywall finishing. I’ve been in the house 2 weeks and already have cracked areas that I am submitting for warranty work.
