Overall experience was great from start to finish

Second home we have built and the experience was very easy. Our house went up quick and everyone was so pleasant to work with. Nice and quiet neighborhood too. This home building experience was better than the first. Would highly recommend buying a home here.

Whatever you do, do not give anyone a ten. They say all the right things so they can get a 10. Now, I see why people give these builders a 7 or 8 because after you're done with them, they no longer assist you with anything. My builder told me that he would always be in the community and that anything I needed, he was just a phone call away. I have scratches on my new stove, and I haven't heard from him or GE Appliances. I can't wait to move out of this community; I made the biggest mistake of my life by moving into it.

The subcontractors are inferior. Obviously, the lowest bid is more important that the quality of their product. The painters, trim carpenters and cabinet installers are the worst I have ever seen. The house was filthy when we took possession. It is sad because they have nice designs but, until they hire better tradesmen they will never be a even a mid-range builder.

Getting into the house was painless. Overall build seems good. I’ve only had a few small issues which were taken very quickly. Love the new house

My experience was great with the agent I worked with very knowledgeable and professional,prompt on all matters.

Buying process was exhausting and if you are not computer savvy, it's a real turnoff. Once in the home, I started finding little things that they cut corners on, lights in closets, vanity drawers are too deep (unusable). Cabinets and microwave too high. Space could have been better used.

My experience purchasing a home with K. Hovnanian was surprisingly seamless and positive. One of the biggest advantages for me was that I didn't need to involve a realtor, which streamlined the process and saved me money. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that negotiation on the price was possible, something I wasn't expecting with a large builder. From the initial viewing to well after closing, they were incredibly communicative and responsive. They walked me through every step, answered all my questions thoroughly, and made me feel confident and informed throughout the entire process. What sets them apart is their continued dedication even after the sale. They remain readily available and genuinely willing to help whenever needed. Rhonda and Jeremy are fantastic and went above and beyond in helping us. The quality of the home could be better. During the inspection the shower door was leaking water, mirrors weren't centered over the sinks in the bathroom, barn door was hung on the wrong side of the wall. The painters could of done a better job. We have to remove paint from the floor ourselves. The bath tub creaks when you stand in it. Jeremy has helped in resolving alot of these issues

Buying from this builder was a breeze. I especially liked the professionalism and empathy exhibited by Brad. From start to finish, he made the whole experience worth it. Ashley also provided excellent support with timely updates and progress pictures.

I was initially verbally induced into signing a contract by the salesperson who told me the whole house had blinds. At the final walkthrough I was told there were none and the sales person said she was wrong and I should have read the contract. I had to threaten not to close and refuse to sign the document stating there were no verbal inducements to get the blinds. Home issues: there is no portal to submit warranty issues, only the email address for a construction manager who does not respond unless the matter is escalated. I have been waiting months to have the grading and my lawn fixed. My dishwasher was never properly installed and the smell of gas is extreme every time the oven is turned on. There is no way to track these warranty submissions since they are just emails that get ignored. When they aren’t ignored, someone comes out, looks at the issue and then doesn’t follow up until I send repeated emails. This is my third new construction home and by far the worst experience. ... I would look elsewhere before purchasing a Khovnanian home just head the warning, you will end up being disappointed.. this is not my first build either. Good luck

Love the house, the interior paint could have been higher quality

Lois and Carlos was such a pleasure do deal with. Every time we had a question or an issue they were Johnny on the spot to answer any questions or concerns as well as issues when we moved in. The experience as a hole dealing K Hovnanian was a great one. I would suggest a new home buyer to buy a K Hovnanian home.

Unfortunately, my home buying experience with Khov has been nothing short of a nightmare. If it was not for Nick, the project manager that addressed things in a timely manner I would have felt helpless. There is just so much that is still wrong with the home and the workmanship that was done is nothing short of mediocre. Which is truly unfortunate because we really love the layout of the home. I have had constant issues with this home. Through the construction process there were constant issues once we got past the framing process. Delays, mistakes and just poor workmanship. I had workers urinating in the toilets and not flushing the toilets. Clogging the toilets, holes in walls that now look terrible because the texture does not match the rest of the home. Painting issues which is still a problem. There are areas that were not caulked, and I still find spots to this day that need to be fixed. I was concerned we were pushing my home to complete just to close, the timeline to close and the progression the house was making as never lining up, there was just so much left to do, and we only had a week left to close. During my third-party home inspection, I had workers in the home, and this was 2 days before closing. During my final walk through there were painters still at my home finishing up and there were still so many things wrong with the home. I felt obligated to accept the home with the understanding they would get fixed after closing. I had contractors coming in and out of my new home months after closing to address all my concerns I had with things I brought up before closing. When they cleaned my driveway and sidewalks, they used the pressure washer and sprayed so close to the concrete now you can see where they were spraying because they have left marks from the pressure washer. The title company is worthless. Made my home buying experience horrible. I hope I never have to deal with them again.

We are moved in and had a great experience with sales staff Kris and warranty Forman Josue!! They were very responsive. Kris did a great job communicating and getting us in our new home!! We are blessed to be in great community,

The purchasing experience with our sales rep. Jessica was great, she went over and above to get answers to questions, etc... Getting our closing documents ahead of time was a disaster, not very prepared. The punch list for the home is still not complete after 3 months. The builders field rep from the Khov tells you what he thinks you want to hear with no follow up. Never writes anything down so I have to send numerous emails, text messages, photos reminding him of the outstanding items, in which very few items have been completed. I'm just very disappointed and frustrated that once the house was purchased it's a continual fight to get warranty items taken care of for the home we purchased. ... More
