Fast process, love our new home.

This is my first home purchase and our sales representative, Ashley was amazing. She really made the process as easy and painless as possible. My only grief is that there was multiple damages to the wood floors and overspill in many areas. Thankfully, they were quick to respond to repair these issues.

Good Experience! Nice people! Great locations! But still found some issues after closing.

The house is well built for track type build - they have a lot of detail in their builds. Their plans are good for older folks like us as well as first home buyers. The use of K. Hovnanian Mortgage was relatively easy as compared to other mortgages I have taken in the past. I would buy another KHov home. Nice job KHov all around....

The entire process from signing the contract to closing date was good. The communication with the sales person, construction manager was very good. Hired a private inspector to review to 3 stages of construction and his opinion of construction quality was much better than many builders. Any issues that came up were resolved in a timely manner. But the biggest issue i had was network cabling for home network. The electricians pulled cat6 data cable. They used electrical boxes instead of low voltage boxes in the wall. The cut the cables in the wiring closet with only 30 inches exposed. The even pulled one data cable i paid for and them removed it when sheetrock was installed. They would not allow me to hire my own cabling contractor. The result was i had to rip most of it out and do it myself after closing. I do "IT" support from home and need a reliable home network. Building out a wired home network would have been much easier during framing but was not allowed to do so. Other than the home network problem the outcome of the overall build was pretty good due to the weekly verification of work and communication and initiated with sales and the construction manager. ... We have had prior experience with KHov in a different market here in Texas. The staff here have all been very helpful along the way. From Leonard and Iman at the sales office to Carlos the superintendent, all have been very nice and responsive. The different subs involved are simply here to get the job done in whatever way is efficient. It has not necessarily been skilled or appropriate. Paint and drywall were the worst. When the home buyer has to go through the home with blue tape, there is a problem. We spent too many hours doing someone else’s job in order to get it done properly. The AC will need additional adjustments in the coming months because we were dismissed prior to closing when we voiced our concerns. Arches and walls are crooked in many main areas of the house. This can’t be corrected now. And should have been addressed prior to finishing the drywall phase. The drainage swale adjacent to to the home is a small pond harboring mosquitoes. We understand this is a developer responsibility but KHov also owns the lot/home next door and holds some responsibility also. Carlos was very helpful in getting our fence straightened after a recent wind event just after we closed. But if the adjacent ground were more stable, there may not have been an issue. There was no issue on the other side of the yard. The house was allegedly cleaned prior to closing but it really wasn’t. We have had to clean all the toe kicks under the cabinets even though this was on a list prior to closing. Overall we love the home. But yes. The experience could have been better. ... More

We are happy overall. Very pleased with the warranty representative. Not very happy with the sloppy painters as we continue to find and clean up paint on the floor and hardware. Thanks!

AC unit too small for home.

I was disappointed with quality of craftsmanship (especially the masons bricklayers). Katrina and Buddy w/ KHovnanian have been great dealing with other then the poor masons poor craftmanship my experience been great.

After settling in to our new home we have notice more little issues with finishings. Between excess spackle around ceiling lights to a rough area on the hand rail for the stairs. It has been the little things we have noticed now. Just the fit and finish we thought was great at first is not the best. They have been quick to respond and fix any issue we reported. They care that we are happy with our home.

For the most part, we are very happy with our new K. Hovnanian home (so far). We had some minor repair issues that were addressed in a timely manner once I contacted the warranty service team. They were really good and responded very quickly. Overall, the workmanship was very good although I wish that full plywood sheathing should have been done all the way around the house, not just the front and back. My only other slight disappointment is the kitchen appliances that came standard with the house. K. Hovnanian could have put some that are slightly better. We plan to upgrade them in the next couple of years. Our experience with our salesperson Karen was awesome! She's the best! She was extremely helpful and always answered all our questions or got the answer for us if she did not know. She was very professional and always friendly. Thank you Karen! ... More

My house turned out great. I hired a private inspector and only minor cosmetic issues were reported. Carlos frequently updated me with the progress of the construction and was very informative. I'm grateful for his advises. Jacob was very responsive to service requests after closing of the home. My only issue was with the loan officers. I don't know if this is normal but the final closing amount was not provided to me until the day before closing and that resulted payment not received on time.

Good experience dealing with KHov builder and then KHov Mortgage. Made the process much easier.

In general, it was a good experience, an efficient process. The overall finishes of the house are good, and the promptness in responding to warranty requests has been timely.

Overall, things seem okay as we begin to live in our home. I see quality issues on on some things such as fencing, the shape our grass was in when we moved in (dead), and the wash out of the dirt in our yard after a big storm that wasn't replaced before putting in the grass. Unhappy with the fact that the bathrooms don't have a medicine cabinet or towel holders. Something new homeowners shouldn't have to worry about installing or ordering. After moving in and starting to put away things in the kitchen cabinets, I noticed they are not normal sized cabinets as far as width. I cook a lot and I have no space for my larger pots and pans. It's a problem. And lastly, there are no cabinets in the laundry room. One set above the washer would be relatively inexpensive, but be very beneficial to homeowners to hideaway laundry items. ...
