After settling in to our new home we have notice more little issues with finishings. Between excess spackle around ceiling lights to a rough area on the hand rail for the stairs. It has been the little things we have noticed now. Just the fit and finish we thought was great at first is not the best. They have been quick to respond and fix any issue we reported. They care that we are happy with our home.

For the most part, we are very happy with our new K. Hovnanian home (so far). We had some minor repair issues that were addressed in a timely manner once I contacted the warranty service team. They were really good and responded very quickly. Overall, the workmanship was very good although I wish that full plywood sheathing should have been done all the way around the house, not just the front and back. My only other slight disappointment is the kitchen appliances that came standard with the house. K. Hovnanian could have put some that are slightly better. We plan to upgrade them in the next couple of years. Our experience with our salesperson Karen was awesome! She's the best! My house turned out great. I hired a private inspector and only minor cosmetic issues were reported. Carlos frequently updated me with the progress of the construction and was very informative. I'm grateful for his advises. Jacob was very responsive to service requests after closing of the home. My only issue was with the loan officers. I don't know if this is normal but the final closing amount was not provided to me until the day before closing and that resulted payment not received on time.

In general, it was a good experience, an efficient process. The overall finishes of the house are good, and the promptness in responding to warranty requests has been timely.

Overall, things seem okay as we begin to live in our home. I see quality issues on on some things such as fencing, the shape our grass was in when we moved in (dead), and the wash out of the dirt in our yard after a big storm that wasn't replaced before putting in the grass. Unhappy with the fact that the bathrooms don't have a medicine cabinet or towel holders. Something new homeowners shouldn't have to worry about installing or ordering. After moving in and starting to put away things in the kitchen cabinets, I noticed they are not normal sized cabinets as far as width. I cook a lot and I have no space for my larger pots and pans. It's a problem. And lastly, there are no cabinets in the laundry room. One set above the washer would be relatively inexpensive, but be very beneficial to homeowners to hideaway laundry items. ... Matthew and Buddy are very honest and trustworthy. Two very easy people to do business with.

It was a good experience with the builder's team. the quality is above average.

My experience was a smooth process with the exception of some hiccups from the Sales Counselor Pros:: Temporary Solution:Rectified situation regarding backyard by mailing seeds for grass growth to my address. Cons: Used Condescending Language which was offensive. I am a military veteran and she expressed from her experience most veterans would not get approved for a certain loan amount amount thus exceeding A mortgage amount. I was shocked and appalled. Then she proceeded to ask me about my annual salary. I thought it was quite distasteful and unprofessional. I would recommend that she educates herself regarding veterans and not placing stereotypical connotations regarding whether or not veterans can purchase homes within their affordability. Jumping to conclusions that veterans dont make a decent salary to purchase homes that she may deem out of their financial bracket is unacceptable. ... More

It was a good experience

The Sales Team and Construction Manager are professional, responsive, and friendly. The Corporate personnel are difficult to work with, scheduled closing and walk through at same time, and could not be reached easily.

I wish the builders would have completed corrections before closing

Nice home for the price

Gregory and Matthew were very helpful and organized.

The sales rep was very attentive and timely in both responses and updates; very diligent, reliable, accommodating, and efficient. She helped make the home-buying process and experience easy and enjoyable. Additionally, she helped smooth over some bumps in the road. The building team did a good job overall, despite some moments of untimely responses. Team members were very courteous, and their follow-up repairs (per inspection reports) were timely and clean.

That my back yard would be looking at the water, that didn’t happen. It’s a privacy fence, instead a iIron rod fence. My loan guy Nate was good.

The builder was helpful when things went wrong. They were very responsive to our concerns and stepped in when there was an issue. The work on the home itself was not as clean and seamless but we were okay with that since the builder was able to work with us and provide extra caulking in areas as needed.

Overall was a good experience building first home.

The experience was positive for the most part , sales person was great and loan officer was great to work with, it was stressful at the end with closing and title company. Closing was also not very efficient . definitely these are the 2 areas needing improvement hence 4 stars...I would give it 5 if it was not so stressful and having to work with very un organize parties

Looooove our new home! But it seems that the builders cut way too many corners or don’t pay attention to detail. Many cosmetic flaws are very noticeable even to our visitors. Our fence was falling apart when we moved in. Khov was quick to fix which is good! But since the area where I purchased my khov home prices homes high, I would think they put in more supervision to each home that is built. Walk throughs are not enough.

Overall, this was a very good home-buying experience for us. The contractual language in the earnest money contract was vague and this created a misunderstanding. I believe this has been corrected.

Shelby did a good job after having to replace a previous salesperson who initially handled my home purchase. She listened to my requests and executed what needed to be done.

This is probably not a fair review as I have only lived in this home for one month. I'd like to give another one in one year. As of now I would do it all over again. Besides dealing with Lois the office manager or design center.
