I have some bad experience like; 1. Squeak sound in the master bedroom floor. I brought the builders attention to this, i was told they cannot fix it at this time. This was quite upsetting.

Very stressful process! Had to complain to get cosmetic issues fixed that clearly needed to be fixed. Construction manager did catch a few things before me and corrected them before I had to complain. KHOV waited until last minute to schedule walk through and should’ve been done at least a week prior to closing to have appropriate time to get everything fixed. Was told if I don’t close they could delay fixing the issues for months so felt forced to close so my interest rate wasn’t affected. Running across issues the longer I’m here. Can file warranty claims for some things that did get fixed correctly on walk through. Everything should have been done right the first time.... ... More

The experience started off great, but then took a turn. This was a roller coaster that has not ended.

I’ve rated overall as a 3, i so believe this could have been done better. i hear “sorry about that” over and over during this purchase process. Haley did a good job but again “sorry” was quick in her lips. i would have rather heard an explanation as to why rather then a simple “sorry”. overall she did a good job, it wasn’t her doing the work she was just the face of the purchase. since i’ve moved in, i’m still awaiting touch up paint, repair of broken cabinets, repair of a leaking ac coil. now i’ve just found where the tile guy washed grout down the shower drain. i’ll have to have a plumber come in to try and clean this out as the shower drain is very slow. on all of the things i’m waiting on your team gives me “sorry we are waiting on……”. just gets frustrating. we have moved in and are trying to make this home ours, will be happen when the last of the khov things are complete. again, haley our salesperson did a great job, all of the issues were beyond her control. ... During our first few days in the home we noticed we were sweating more than normal while performing light duty chores and had trouble sleeping at night. Our towels would still be wet 24 hours after showering when hung up to dry. Items from the fridge would sweat immediately once taken out. We put in a service ticket with the warranty group during the first week and after a month we still have no answer to what the problem is. We have been running a dehumidifier 24/7 to keep moisture levels below 65% and every time it shuts off for more than a couple hours the humidity level starts going up. The HVAC group has come out about once a week and made minimal changes with no positive results. This experience has definitely spoiled the excitement of buying a new home. ... More

Distinct lack of transparency when it came to final numbers for mortgage. Specifically mislead or omitted HOA payment increases scheduled but not disclosed. Back yard has tremendous amounts of construction debris that was never removed. I.e. brick concrete shingle parts Left with dead landscaping and trees that were incorrectly planted in front yard.

The purchasing experience was great. The lack of follow through by the builder is horrible. Several issues hat were addressed in the walkthrough still have not be taken care of. Typical of any builder over promise, under deliver!!

The home itself is very nice the neighborhood is nice but the people I had to deal with were disappointing and rude. No answers in timely manner, things that were done wrong or missed were always blamed on me the buyer for not answering the phone. When I’m face they hadn’t even tried to contact me. Last minute contact for many things. If you work or live out of town these people will say they contacted you but it’s most likely mismanagement on the builders part. So many things were just dropped on me last minute. This builder or their workers make you feel like they are doing you a favor. If I’m buying a $300,000+ house I expect a certain level of professionalism. I love my home but the experience with the builders employees was trash. ... More

As noted above, I submitted a list of problems nearly two weeks ago and only one has been addressed. One bath tub “barely” drains and is virtually unusable. Other than the bath tub and carpet damaged by what appears to be spilled paint with very poor cleanup.

Get an inspection from an unbiased 3rd party and don't sign a single paper to close until all items are cleared and re inspected.

The buying process was very easy. Sales does a good job at handling mostly everything for you to close. The materials and quality in our home were dissapointing. Rusted applicances and fixtures. Paint specks all over the tiled floor, crooked trim and other issues we didn’t expect to find. Check all workmanship in detail before purchasing!

This is not a custom home, I repeat, this is not a custom home. They build them as fast as they can and try to cover up as much as possible. You have to be thorough in your own inspections and stay on top of the contractor to make sure the issues actually get fixed.

Quality ok. Many small issues are needed to correct. Master bathroom too small not good flows. Lacks of added amenities. Does not offer other add ons such as sprinklers, extended patio, guitters, back yard lawn etc.

Simple warranty issues seem to take abnormally long to be fixed, even when they are simple fixes. Once they have your money, no urgency to fix the issues their contractors created. I would not expect the same service after sales that you get when you are purchasing. Sales people are good, ultimately they are not involved after the purchase. Customer is not first once the sale is completed.

Very bad experience found lots of problems after closing, everything was rushed and poorly put together. The front elevation was wrong found several uncaulk areas nails sticking out, found muddy puddle under carpet, cracks in several areas too many problems to mention looks like the house was just thrown together without any consideration

House is not complete interior and exterior force me to close house very bad experience still not fixed I even move in already

Grading around home is deficient and water accumulation especially on right side, one kitchen cabinet different from others and bad irrigation system is corroded and not functioning

We have never had experienced anything like that before from people who are supposed to be professionals and to whom we were paying money. Not only KHov team caused a 2-week delay in closing and tried to make us pay the delay penalty they put in the contract, but then blamed it on our lender and the title company. We had to move to a storage space for a week. On top of that once all the paperwork was finally ready, they wouldn't accommodate us with the date of signing, so we had to pay for a hotel to make it to the early morning signing. To this day we haven't heard a word of apology. We only hope that KHov builder's have better standards than their selling teams... ... More

We purchased a pre-built home through K. Hov. as our first home purchase. Everyone says buying is stressful and K. Hov. didn't make that easier. The house and builder were great, but the purchasing process was atrocious. We were promised a certain price no matter what lender we choose. After we put our earnest money in, we choose another private lender for better rates. When K. Hov. learned this, they inflated the purchase price and told us we could only receive the discounted price if we financed through them. In addition, our primary contact, Christi, was the most rude and degrading person I've worked with in a long time (I'm a teacher, so that's saying something). Other than these, we love our house and the build quality is great! If you're thinking of going with K. Hov., please just be wary that you need to get everything in writing. ... More

I will start with the positive here. The floor plan / design of the home is exactly what we were looking for. The location (Lakeview / Waller) is also what we were after. Lastly, the price point of the home was competitive and what we believe to be good value. The only other positive would be that in general, our construction manager Matt was a pleasure to work with during the actual construction of our home. I believe that he did everything he could to make the experience positive - within the limitations he was under. Since moving into our home, he has been attentive to the couple of small warranty items we've raised. Now for the negative. My wife and I have been involved in a new construction home two occasions in the last 30 years prior to going through it with K.Hov this time around so we are not naive as to the process. That said I cannot express my frustration with the sales rep Paul. Without too much lengthy detail, I will say he repeatedly mislead us during the process, committed to options that were then changed at a later date, gave assurances he did not live up to, and was very unresponsive to queries he knew were important to us. It was so bad that I finally had enough and told our construction manager and our realtor that I would no longer have any dealings with him. Communication and events leading up to closing were the final straw and extremely frustrating given we were paying cash for the home. At that point, Paul's boss reached out to me and asked if there was anything he could do to that would turn my experience around. He stated he wished he knew before then that we were having the challenges to which I suggested he should solicit buyer feedback during the process rather than at the end. I gave him lengthy detail into the issues we experienced with his sales rep as I would hate to see other buyers have to deal with the same issues. Overall, we are happy with our home, notwithstanding some ongoing drainage issues in our back yard (which I raised as a possible concern before we ever signed the contract (was repeatedly told concern would be addressed but has not been to my satisfaction). To conclude, our construction manager Matt was clearly the most honest and attentive person we dealt with throughout the process. We have already had 4 issues with our ac unit , that STILL ISNT SOLVED and one problem with the plumbing. I understand some work is builders grade like paint, but for over $355K, I expected more from these basic systems.

Since the house sat unoccupied for a minute, the grass behind died. They replaced the back grass but didn't replace the grass infant and behind. House was fine but I moved in with horrible grass. Called and messaged the construction manager a couple of times after he promised to replace the side grass but hasn't. Even the front grass didn't look attractive at all. Now I am stuck with dead grass on the sides of my house and horrible grass in front. Sales guy was the best tho.

The sales team had little to no communication, all people involved were lazy and not willing to address issues in a timely manner if at all. No important details were communicated to the buyer
