I will start with the positive here. The floor plan / design of the home is exactly what we were looking for. The location (Lakeview / Waller) is also what we were after. Lastly, the price point of the home was competitive and what we believe to be good value. The only other positive would be that in general, our construction manager Matt was a pleasure to work with during the actual construction of our home. I believe that he did everything he could to make the experience positive - within the limitations he was under. Since moving into our home, he has been attentive to the couple of small warranty items we've raised. Now for the negative. My wife and I have been involved in a new construction home two occasions in the last 30 years prior to going through it with K.Hov this time around so we are not naive as to the process. That said I cannot express my frustration with the sales rep Paul. Without too much lengthy detail, I will say he repeatedly mislead us during the process, committed to options that were then changed at a later date, gave assurances he did not live up to, and was very unresponsive to queries he knew were important to us. It was so bad that I finally had enough and told our construction manager and our realtor that I would no longer have any dealings with him. Communication and events leading up to closing were the final straw and extremely frustrating given we were paying cash for the home. At that point, Paul's boss reached out to me and asked if there was anything he could do to that would turn my experience around. He stated he wished he knew before then that we were having the challenges to which I suggested he should solicit buyer feedback during the process rather than at the end. I gave him lengthy detail into the issues we experienced with his sales rep as I would hate to see other buyers have to deal with the same issues. Overall, we are happy with our home, notwithstanding some ongoing drainage issues in our back yard (which I raised as a possible concern before we ever signed the contract (was repeatedly told concern would be addressed but has not been to my satisfaction). I am not at all happy with Khovnanian homes. The workmanship and quality of the builder is atrocious. When speaking with the builder he made it obvious that the company only allows him to hire the very worst of contractors to perform the building of the homes. I cannot say that I was pleased with any aspect of the construction of this home. I was happy with the fact that Home came blind and that the backyard was sodded. But none of the bathrooms were equipped with any towel hooks or towel bars. Also, I remodeled the master bathroom and discovered how the bathrooms were built and went to the builder and had all of the other bathrooms in the house redone because they were all built the same way. The toilet in my daughter’s room leaked, Thank God it was over the garage. You have fixed that. The garage interior door has not worked correctly since we moved in. All of the seals are breaking and falling off. This was after y’all sent your doorman to come work on it. I have been waiting three weeks for someone to come back and correct that issue.The air conditioner has not worked properly since we moved in. The electrician put in an undersized breaker that trips all of the time. We’ve had issues with Sheetrock not being finished properly and then the repairs to those having to be done three or four times over. The paint is literally the same color as the drywall mud so that if they miss a spot painting, an untrained, eye could not tell the difference. I really like the way the style of the home, the workmanship was not up to par for the price. I still have things pending. The sales person and loan officer were great did everything to get me into my forever home. I am sorry to say that you can really tell how rushed they must of been to build the home. Nails sticking up on carpet stairs, caulking in whole house separated from parts of the wall, parts of fence not nailed, baseboards must of been painted after texture of wall was done because you can see the texturing into the base boards, I had to realign a lot of the doors myself so they would shut. ( I fixed because waiting and having people in and out of my house is not ideal, and most of the time they would show up or tell me they’re stopping by in an hour or so. Not even taking to account that most people like advanced notice. There are more things I had found that needed attention, but honestly I feel like they think I’m a pain in the side, and I feel bad. Now again the style the openness of the house is ideal, I’m in my sixties so do hope this is my forever home. I try not to be too picky, but homes are not cheap, I’ve had new homes before and really have not had this many issues. I imagine that with the way this area growing so fast that the worker are rushing and details are missed. Please know I do love my home I really just wish all these things were fixed in a timely considerate manner. I have taken pictures of some of the issues. Homes are built poor quality and im still having issues getting things fixed after 4 months of living in our brand new home other problems are also coming up but im choosing to fix them myself since its easier then waiting weeks for them to fix things

We have been very happy with the home builder and especially Felix. He is very responsive to issues and is very customer satisfaction driven.

Did a very good job

Use very cheap material to build house. The construction Rep on site will lie to you every time you want them to remediate on something. always have some excuse on what things are wrong.

This home is amazing and the sales agents were extremely nice!

Scott the construction manager was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my house was perfect! I was disappointed in sales though. I was told I’d get the welcome basket multiple times to never get it… I closed in April. :/ I waited almost a week because I wanted to announce with a picture of the basket on my counter… I ended up just posting a picture of something else.

I am extremely grateful to have moved to the Cloverdale community in Houston TX. Not only do I enjoy being able to call it home but more importantly I’m enjoying the way the house is built. Our community is still being built but I must commend the building team. They are very respectful and considerate as they work and are always willing to help and support me. Thank you

Builder did not have drip pan under AC unit causing ceiling saturated with water

Dealing with KHov was a pleasure. They were responsive and customer oriented. Samuel over saw our build and was knowledgeable and worked with us every step to completion. Samuel also kept the new builds clean and as orderly as possible for new home construction. Susan and Amanda were there every step of the way as well. The KHov homes stand out in the neighborhood because of their quality construction. Thank You James and Deb

The homes are beautiful, but everything was built cheap. Materials under was the cheapest materials ever.

I had a fantastic experience with Khov! This is my second house with this fantastic builder! Great and helpful staff! Damaris and Mauricio are absolutely a great team! They are always helping you with any questions or anything you need done. Very happy for choosing the best builder once again!

The staff always answered my questions and were very helpful. I chose to finance with them and you may have more of a stressful time if your income is nonstandard. The only other thing I didn’t like was that I felt pressured to close by the end of the month, but I know each month costs money for somebody. Overall, I would not hesitate to do business with Khov again. The whole process was helpful and informative. Even after you purchase the house, they continue to check in through text or email to be sure that everything is going as expected. You don’t get that with a typical home purchase.

This is hopefully the last home my wife, Gaye, and I will buy. We have been married almost 46 years and this is our eighth house. These have all been new construction homes. We have been very pleased with our KHovnanian home. Through the complete process of choosing the house, choosing all the appliances, flooring, fixtures and working with the different team members, it has been a complete joy. My wife agrees with me that buying this house was probably the most enjoyable of all eight. Very professional and extremely caring and courteous people the entire time. The process of buying was smooth and enjoyable. However, the quality and craftsmanship has proved to be an issue. I do have confidence they will assist with making things better.

Very disappointed with the quality of the workmanship as well as the quality of the products being used in the construction. Right now, I have a major issue with 2 bathroom tubs that pop and crack everytime you step in them and the issue still hasn't been resolved going on 2 months now. Very disappointing. Would not recommend this builder to anyone.

We are very happy with our new home. The K Hov team bent backwards to assist us in choosing the right options and we are happy with the results. Ronda and Christian were especially amazing, thank you. We are happily settling into our new home.

Experience was much smoother than anticipated. Design staff was great and patient - taking their time to explain all options. Building manager, John, was fantastic. Very helpful and always positive - providing updated information every week or whenever contacted. Any issues were presented immediately and he always had a solution. My satisfaction was always important and issues resolved in a very timely manner. The sales rep was always available for questions and provided answers. Too many issues since buying the house. The builder is taking care of the issues immediately but still it’s just too annoying to deal with so many issues and especially for the price paid for the house. The house is just too expensive for the quality provided.
