Airplane noise is mitigated but it was there and drove my wife crazy the first few weeks. Except for outside noises, the condo to condo noises have been okay. The visitor parking situation is very bad and that's due to the actions of fellow owners and the non-action of KHov. If you are going to sell your condo, I can't picture an Open House because only illegal street parking is currently available. There were some building flaws and the most common one I see is separation between base moulding and the wall and even in shower areas. I've had bathroom makeovers and I've never seen that so early. We were not involved in the process of picking out things and came near the end of the process. So, I won't bother to comment on appliances, etcetera. We were downsizing from house to condo but we underestimated how much stuff we had even after donating and giving away lots of stuff. I do like the garage and driveway combo but they are so tight for our RAV4 that we've thought about downsizing our car. ... More

Overall I had a great experience with getting my new beautiful home. My husband and I didn’t come across this site until the very last homes were being built, so we didn’t get to pick out all of the details of the home. That really didn’t matter though because the attention to detail in the home is amazing. We had looked at homes by another builder and they really didn’t compare. The other builder was around the same price, but with very basic features. I love the quality of everything in my home. It really is my dream home and I am so happy it all worked out. We were impressed by the steps laid out for the purchase, various stages of construction, and through the sale of our home. Everything was explained in detail. The result was excellent. We are very pleased. We had our previous home built for us and our experiences have been totally different. We would purchase through Hovnanian again.

I was skeptical at first since I’ve purchased homes from Ryan homes, Stanley Martin, etc and they all had some major issues during inspection. I’ve also never heard of Khov until recently. We really liked the size and layout of the Khov townhome compared to a lot of townhomes that are built narrower and taller (to maximize the cost for space). They had a quick move-in home available at a pretty good price compared to other new construction townhomes. When we went through inspection, the inspection report showed pretty much no issues and they put things like “dust” to even make some sort of report lol they said the home was one of few that had pretty much no code violations or issues found. The contractor who did our walkthrough was so great to work with as well as the HOA manager. We’ve been living in our home for a few months so far and love it! This is the 3rd home we have purchased and it was our best buying experience ever. From our Sales Agent to our Financing/Loan Agent to the Construction Team (during the Build and even after Move-In) to the Home Warranty personnel everyone at K. Hovnanian have been OUTSTANDING! There was a lot of anxiety due to materials, building permits and other subcontractor delays. However, KHovnanian sales rep Russ kept me and my agent updated and encouraged me to stay the course. Once on track, project moved smoothly and at rapid pace. On my walkthrough I was pleased. My condo far exceeded my expectations. I’m so glad I was patient. I had such a great buying experience. The sales office representives Gene and Michael were great. Very professional, kind and well versed in knowing their jobs. Very good and caring towards the buyers that was completely genuine. I commend them both for making my experience great inspite of the time it took for my condo unit to be built.

I had a few issues when I moved it - scratched window, torn screen, off-kilter knobs, non-locking garage door, to name a few, and they were promptly dealt with.
