The whole team was great and made a great home for my family

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with K. Hovnanian has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I want to warn anyone considering them. As someone experienced in real estate and construction, I have never dealt with such a mess. First off, the problems started before we even signed the contract. We were misled about lot availability. They told us the lot we wanted was not available, only for us to find out later that it was and they were just holding it for someone else they knew. That was the first red flag. Then right after we signed, they pushed our delivery date from April 31st to the end of June, literally the day after we signed. And then they pushed it again to the end of July. They did not break ground for four months and blamed the county, but we found out it was just them dragging their feet and changing their building schedule. It only got worse from there. They completely messed up our home choices. We chose a certain elevation, they gave us the wrong one. We picked paint colors, they painted something entirely different. They put in the wrong tiles in the bathroom. The list goes on and on. We were lied to repeatedly. For example, they told us we could only have either a walkout or an egress window in the basement, and then we found out everyone else got both. Now we have to pay extra to fix that. At the pre-closing walkthrough, we flagged a ton of issues and they swore they would fix them. By the final walkthrough, only a few were done and they promised again they would handle the rest after closing. Of course, once we closed, they turned around and said it was out of their scope. The quality is just atrocious, things even a beginner would not mess up. We had wavy drywall, chipped stairs, electrical issues, and the toilet paper holders were falling off the walls. From the pre-drywall walk-thru to the final Gold Key delivery, Mike was there to ensure all of my questions were answered. He took extra steps to make sure I was happy with my home, even going so far as to make adjustments to the length of the chandelier to make sure I was comfortable with the height!

We recently had our new home built by K. Hovnanian in the Hazel Run Glen community and we were very satisfied with our overall experience. The quality of construction and attention to detail are impressive. The finished product has a beautiful, upscale look that truly exceeded our expectations. The production team was professional, responsive, and committed to ensuring we were happy with every step of the process. We would highly recommend K. Hovnanian to anyone looking for a builder that delivers both quality and style.

So far things are going well. Respond to complaints and issues are poor from builders and the office as a whole.

My home buying experience was okay overall. The sales agent was wonderful and really helped make the process smoother. My biggest regret is not getting a home inspector before purchasing. I felt rushed during my walkthrough and was told that any issues would be taken care of even after closing. Honestly, it’s been a bit of a challenge. They have addressed many of my concerns, but quite a few things have been put on the back burner because they say the home needs time to settle. Unfortunately, many of these issues were already there before I moved in, but I didn’t notice them at the time.

The opportunity of purchasing a new home from K. Hovnanian Homes is the best decision that I have ever made. It has been since July 21st and I am as happier today as I was the first day that I received my keys. I feel that I made a great choice. This community is a quiet and peaceful environment . The homes are beautiful outside and inside. The management is great!

K. Hovanian is great. Very professional and friendly staff. Alin does a great job with working with you to make sure your dream home becomes a reality. From the time you pick your home design to breaking ground the process won’t take long.

Our sales person, Chris was good when we met for the first time. After signing the contract, Chris kept us updated on progress, issues (there were many), and changes, as well as answered all of our questions. Once we walked the house and did the blue tape walk, we thought everything would be fixed…NOPE, only a few things were and the other tape just removed. As we continue living in the house, the poor quality just keeps appearing from poorly cut trim pieces (meaning I recut and filled in with caulk) to caulk everywhere that you normally wouldn’t want caulk (around all the toilets, on the faucet-not around, some areas for quarter round moulding have it and other places in the same room don’t, etc), the craftsmanship is HORRIBLE. Now when submitting and trying to get warranty items fixed, they sit for weeks and months. They obviously do everything on their time, not when it’s convenient for the customer. This is our 5th home with a builder - we would do it again with them if we were EVER going to move again - which we're not. lol. K Hov is great!

We had a fantastic experience. The quality of work, attention to detail, and communication throughout the process were outstanding. Our home was completed on time, built to last, and exceeded our expectations. Truly a builder you can trust!

The home buying experiencewas strong for the most part, but communication was severely lacking from our salesperson, Joe, at times, and that somewhat soured the buying experience. But we do appreciate Casey, one of the construction managers, who went the extra mile for us prior to our settlement and orientation. More importantly, we've had to report a dozen or so small repair requests since moving in within the first three months, and while about a third of them have been fixed in a timely manner, most have not, despite our 1-year warranty. We've had to chase down staff to follow up on repairs. None of the faults have been major, except a leak in our master bathroom sink (the drywall had to be pulled out, and it has gone unrepaired for months). The paint on the walls is extremely thin, so it's incredibly easy to scuff or dirty the walls, but overall we're grateful every day for a house of this quality at the price we got it at. ... More

Working with Khov on this custom build was great, clear buying process and expectation setting. Quality is generally good with some minor tweaks and fixes needed.

I purchased the WiFi extension package for my home. Thinking they would install everything needed. All they do is put a hole in the ceiling and a wire then tell you you have to hire somebody else to finish it. Everyone I call says the builder should have done this. They have no idea what this is.

The house is decent. The sale process was excellent. The sales reps were good. Given the townhome is in middle of condos, we have irresponsible neighbors who don’t curb after their dogs. I have highlighted this incident to the HOA. They don’t seem to care.

We just moved into our new home and are really happy with everything so far. The community is developing nicely, and it already feels like a great place to live. One thing that really stands out is the leadership—Ram, who’s in charge of the project, has been awesome. He actually listens to homeowners and takes feedback seriously, which makes a big difference. It’s clear they care about building not just houses, but a strong, welcoming neighborhood. We’re excited to see how everything comes together as the community grows.

Responsiveness to issues is hit or miss. Sometimes its immediate, and sometimes I have to track down and pester people to get the problems addressed.

Matt would go above and beyond. He understood the customer need and was supportive and proactive in every way.

Love, love our home. It's beautiful inside and outside. Love the neighborhood. Beautifully built The whole team is amazing. Love Ms Elisha she was so patient with us knowing it's was our first time buying our home. she made the experience pleasant. We will do it over again. By far this is the most beautifully built home we've been in in our home buying process. It's a joy coming home to my home beautiful everyday. I just love it.
