Even after closing, the house was not completed, and the construction manager lied and deceived. There were things that I couldn't write down in the review. And warranty repair has not been carried out for more than three months. I regret buying a house very much and will never recommend it to people around me.

I had a great experience with the entire process. Everything was communicated well, all issues were fixed prior to closing. Having a great project manager on site makes a huge difference!

Airplane noise is mitigated but it was there and drove my wife crazy the first few weeks. Except for outside noises, the condo to condo noises have been okay. The visitor parking situation is very bad and that's due to the actions of fellow owners and the non-action of KHov. If you are going to sell your condo, I can't picture an Open House because only illegal street parking is currently available. There were some building flaws and the most common one I see is separation between base moulding and the wall and even in shower areas. I've had bathroom makeovers and I've never seen that so early. We were not involved in the process of picking out things and came near the end of the process. So, I won't bother to comment on appliances, etcetera. We were downsizing from house to condo but we underestimated how much stuff we had even after donating and giving away lots of stuff. I do like the garage and driveway combo but they are so tight for our RAV4 that we've thought about downsizing our car. ... More

Too many issues with poor quality of workmanship & materials for a new home in this price range.

We bought house in tanager community and quality of fixtures and construction is below grade and options available are pretty bad and one of the sales rep did not have clue with options and other rep Sylvia and Construction manager Tom were very good and helpful.

Overall I had a great experience with getting my new beautiful home. My husband and I didn’t come across this site until the very last homes were being built, so we didn’t get to pick out all of the details of the home. That really didn’t matter though because the attention to detail in the home is amazing. We had looked at homes by another builder and they really didn’t compare. The other builder was around the same price, but with very basic features. I love the quality of everything in my home. It really is my dream home and I am so happy it all worked out. I am pleased with my condo but struggling getting used to that kind of living. My sales person was not in the right job but the fiance people were great and the warranty guy is very helpful. I would only caution to asking detailed questions for complete understanding of expectations. Finishes in condo are standard.

There is nothing wrong with the homes, but with the size of the community there should be a community center.

When you build a home in 4 months, don't expect quality craftsmanship. Lots of interior issues - drywall/paint defects. Landscape is a 3/10 at best. Sprinklers not sitting flush with the ceiling. Lack of customizing. Overall, I wouldn't pick a KHov build for our next home.

The shower grout is not good, the baseboard in the floor is loose, the closet magnet are not catching very well, the lament floors are starting to come up even after I have mopped the floor with a damped cloth. The elevators are a big issue. I was told that cement will be placed on top of the ceiling. However, you can hear when furniture is being moved or a kid jumping up and down. You can hear when someone is walking on their floor.

I was pleasantly surprise with the good quality of work and experience.

Sales people and on site construction supervisors were professional and responsive. Finance personnel were were not always professional and somewhat none responsive. Overall good experience.

Beats all my dreams & expectations!

We were impressed by the steps laid out for the purchase, various stages of construction, and through the sale of our home. Everything was explained in detail. The result was excellent. We are very pleased. We had our previous home built for us and our experiences have been totally different. We would purchase through Hovnanian again.

The home is beautiful and the project manager is wonderful at Gambrill. However, the loan officer was horrible and made the process extremely difficult without purpose.

Had worst home closing experience for my property I had purchased in Virginia. Hand off and co-ordination was a total chaos, disorganized experience. Encountered Construction issues and it took weeks to bring it to closure. Poor management oversight and ensuring quality of the construction and warranty resolution. My advice to the management is Customer service can be lot better and closely monitor construction issue resolution.

My 3rd new build and the overall workmanship and materials are below average for new construction. Pretty disappointing for the price paid. The paint chosen is literally the worst, it wipes off just by brushing it with your clothes. Not to mention the painters, it seems like a four year old could have done a better job. Paint on the floors, in the carpet. Trim paint on the walls, wall paint on the trim. We had(have) places where the grout does not match for all of the same tile work. The color of grout doesn't even exist anywhere in our house. Had to spend multiple hours cleaning and fixing carpet, Khov did not correct it when pointed out. Same with the paint on the floors and handrails. It became more of an issue asking for it to be corrected than just taking care of it myself. ... More

The team was helpful during the early stages, and communication was generally prompt. However, there were some concerns regarding the finish and detailing in certain areas, particularly in the bathrooms. The quality of work and the bathroom floor plans and options did not meet my expectations, with some of the detailing appearing inaccurate or incomplete. Additionally, even though we signed the agreement knowing the plan and options, the paid amount does not seem to match the options provided. After adding $100K in upgrades, the house still doesn’t reflect the luxury look we were aiming for. Cabinets in bathrooms, kitchen are not a good quality materials used. garage doors are also not a great quality. I believe improvements could be made in quality control, attention to detail, and ensuring that the final result matches the investment. I hope these issues can be addressed for future projects, as the team has the potential to deliver a more satisfying experience.” Few options like shower area lights in bathrooms should not be an option to be chosen by the buyer! Furthermore, even after paying millions for the home, we are left with additional work to complete, such as painting in the garage and addressing the landscaping. The front trees, for example, are quite spiky and not what we envisioned. Additionally, we opted for a finished basement, but only half of the area was completed. There is too muc turn over and issues are not resolved. There were short cuts made and many mistakes. The garage door has never been fixed. Orlando and so many other good people quit because they were overworked and underpaid. The buyers all suffer as a result.
