We wrote to head office and all others involved about our concerns and did not receive the courtesy of a reply

The floors were installed poorly. Floors were never done correctly. House was not ready to be closed on, quality team did a very poor job of ensuring house was ready to close on. Extremely disappointed

My new home is beautiful and the process from start to finish, while many months, put me in my home with almost everything I wanted to include an inground pool and fenced in yard. Work orders placed have been responded to a very timely and efficient manner. I had requested a little gem magnolia for one of the two trees I expected to be planted in my front yard. Unfortunately, the message never got through to the correct person. Also unfortunate, the majority of the homes as you go down the street went from two trees in the front yard for the Oak series homes, to one Christmas palm in everyone's yard. I was surprised and unhappy to see that after bringing this up a couple times, the model home was updated from having a holly tree to a magnolia tree in its front yard, alongside its second tree. When the construction manager asked leadership about the change in landscaping trees, the quality, and the actual tree site plan, he was told that he did not need to see the plan and the landscapers had discretion to plant whatever they wanted. Too many items which should have been addressed prior to close

From the buying process where I needed to move up the purchase date and financing working with that plus a great loan rate to the minor issues that I did on my walk through being fixed to the things that I found after I moved in all being repaired. All of the staff in every area has been professional and knowledgeable in completing their tasks beyond the minimum

From my initial visit with Deb, to the closing 8 months later, I was treated with respect and informed if there was a delay. I was encouraged to come and visit the site during the entire build.

KHovnanian Homes has refused to address a documented rear yard landscape issue that was identified prior to closing escrow. After submitting three unsuccessful written requests seeking resolution, I will need to pursue further actions to resolve.

The Hovnanian team for Four Seasons was terrific - from the Sales, Builder and Mortgage teams, everyone was very attentive and responsive.

I was influenced to give K. Hovnanian an excellent rating because of the quality of my new home, the professionalism of the team, their attention to detail, and their commitment to making the building process a positive experience. I'm very happy with my new home and the overall service I received.

KH Switch type of patio doors with doors that are not the same quality as what we first saw in Models, when we signed on bottom line. told we would be getting handles but we are still waiting... For rest of house issue is wall switches are too far from door frame, example to turn on great room lights after leaving Master Bedroom need to walk across half way across room? yes some items are covered by MFG Warranty. Problem with ***** since early Aug last message sometime in Oct?????

The sales representative made it seamless and made sure that everyone was aligned through every step of the way.

This has been the most stressful year of my life as my initial home in Summerville was delayed AFTER i sold my house in Boston. Had to rent an apartment and pay for storage for 10 months and live out of boxes.I finally purchased at ***** and was treated horribly by Crystal who negotiated the pricing. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life. I move here and am told that amenity center will be ready next Spring. Then I find out from a buyer that it is the end of next year. Oh no put we will have a temporary gym, freall? where is it. Why are we paying the $400 hoa with no amenities? ... More

The salesperson Ryan ***** was excellent, I feel that some of the work being preformed on the new houses needs to be better supervised .

I love my house and my selections do your homework and be prepared to make decisions. Ask questions to make sure you get what you want

Lack of builder coordination to get a professional cleaning crew to the house prior to final inspection.

Alyssa ***** navigated us through a sales/closing process made tortuous by last-minute unforseeable contingencies. Alyssa and her associates went above and beyond the call of duty to get us to closing on schedule. A lesser team would simply have abandoned the transaction.

Home designs and pre-selection of interior design and finishes. Responsiveness and support to issues that arose, including the proactiveness, and the community that the home is a part of.

We shopped the rest and believe in the quality of our KHOV home, thrre are do many options in our area, this is the best.

We bought this home for being in a 55+ community. The sales rep didn't know much about "options" or his own company's policies, because we learned after signing the very "one-way" contract (benefiting the builder, of course) that they won't change or accommodate ANYTHING, not even the simple request of not putting up wire shelves in closets or that we had an option of flooring in the office, and we were never offered that. The house was delivered pretty dirty and I've found glue spots that don't come out, all over the floors. The cabinetry is really cheap in quality, although we chose the "top of the line" options they'd offered. A couple of weeks after settlement a tree died on us, and their response is that they don't cover landscape in their warranty. We were promised the club house and the rest of amenities would be ready this summer. Well, we are mid August and is not ready The only good thing I can say is that for other minor issues we've had, they have responded and solved it in a timely manner ... More

Loan process horrible

Overall it was a very smooth experience. This was our first new build home so we didn't no what to expect. The whole buying and construction experience was awesome.

During the actual build process the sales person coordinated with us first any questions very professionally. However the items discovered during the last walkthrough 4.27/26 , one item has taken 3.5 months to maybe resolved as it is scheduled for 8/10.

We purchased a home from K. Hovnanian with high expectations, but unfortunately our experience has been disappointing from start to finish. The home buying process itself was frustrating due to repeated paperwork errors, incorrect dates, poor communication and lack of attention to detail. What should have been an exciting milestone became unnecessarily stressful. The quality of workmanship and materials has also been well below what we expected from a new home. Many of the finishes and fixtures appear to be the lowest quality products available and we encounters numerous issues that should have been addressed prior to closing. Perhaps, the most concerning issue has been the lack of honesty and accountability.. we were explicitly told that our irrigation system had been started and was fully operational.. in the spring, when Davey came out to do the startup, we were informed they could not do so because of incorrectly sized water lines. This means the system had never been functioning as represented. Experiences like this have made it difficult to trust any information we receive. The warranty and customer service process has only added frustration. Warranty claims are frequently marked as complete even though the work has not been performed, and responses to outstanding issues are slow or nonexistent. We have had to repeatedly follow up on items that should have been resolved the first time. We understand that no new house is perfect and that issues arise. However, what has been most disappointing the consistent lack of communication, accountability, and follow through throughout the entire process. Based on our experience we cannot recommend K. Hov. Homes. We hope the company takes meaningful steps to improve its construction quality, customer service and commitment to standing behind the homes they build. ... More
