From the time we bought our house until we moved in, everything has been an excellent and seamless experience.

My wife and I had an exceptionally good home buying experience with K. Hovnanian's Four Seasons at Terra Lago development. From the first visit with Allison, the sales person who became our main point of contact, to the actual move in day after the close of escrow, we found the communication to be excellent all the way through the process. Communication was the key for us, as we were also looking at resale homes in the desert area, literally for several months. We visited a number of 55 and older communities after we decided that was our goal--to live in a gate guarded, 55 and older community. We maintained communication with Allison throughout our search process, as we kept coming back to resale homes in the Four Seasons development. At some point, the development's model homes went up for auction, and we were successful in securing one of the homes after our bid went in. Allison was the person to inform us of our successful bid, and we entered escrow. When we were close to the closing date, Tom led us through the walk-through to insure that all systems in the house were either working properly or would be repaired if needed. Everything went well, and I was kept abreast of everything that was going on. I really appreciated that. The staff was excellent, any questions or issues that I had the staff took the time to answer and explain the process to me.

The builder and all personnel who were involved with the construction and closing of our home did an excellent job, in spite of extra difficulties created by the ongoing Covid pandemic.

The buying experience was great. We were kept informed of the building progress every step of the way. There were some issues after we moved in, but they are being worked on. Yes, we would buy from KHovnanian again.

Good experience so far. We had issues related to the walk through and noted some things we wanted fixed. No follow up from the rep that was supposed to help us.

Purchasing our new build home @ K.Hov has been an amazing experience. Wendy has been very attentive, kind, and informative. We honestly, stuck with K.Hov despite the COVID-19 delays, because of her. She is fantastic and very professional. We would highly recommend considering purchasing @ K.Hov. Upon our final walk-through and move-in, Tom and his crew were detail oriented and extremely helpful. The KHov Sales Team was very responsive to any and all questions and issues. Once construction began, I was introduced to the Construction Foreman who stayed in communication with me throughout the build. As with any new build their are always mechanical and structure issues which the KHov is very responsive to. The only real complaint I have is the upgraded cabinetry that we purchased through the design center. It is flimsy and obviously slight in quality. Aside from that we are extremely please with our new KHov Starlight 39 home in beautiful Indio, CA

Homes are very well made

Purchasing the home was a straightforward process. The homes floor plan is well designed but has some shortcomings in terms of quality. The Builder charges ridiculous prices for flooring and upgrades. The standard components used in the home are minimum “builders grade“ quality. For example, for all plumbing fixtures, cheap rubber hoses are used instead of metal mesh on all plumbing fixtures. This means years down the road these hoses could easily burst flooding the home and all of them need to be changed at the owners expense. The lots are unfinished, which is extremely costly. The builder should inform the buyer with an idea of this cost before making a purchase. On the positive side, the company is very responsive to requests. ... More

The paint and caulk work throughout the house is less than acceptable. Many of the windows have small cracks in the drywall. If you rub on the wall the paint comes off along with the texture. The windows in the rear of the house were missing seals causing sand to come through the openings. The washing machine made loud noises since the first time we used it. No hot water to the main kitchen sink. The repairs are slowly being scheduled at this time.

Barbara was extraordinary and kept in touch with us weekly, since we lived 461 miles away. She kept of abreast of all aspects of our build, took pictures, and answered any questions that we had during the entire process. She was our eyes and ears onsite. Froy's customer service is excellent .Great working with him.

I love the active community with many events. I love my new house, it's perfect for me.

Sales Rep was only satisfactory; difficult at times. Would not ever buy again without my own realtor. However, Valet, Tom was extraordinarily helpful at pre-move in and post closing, VERY responsive, as was John, the project superintendent. Head landscaper was also extremely helpful with front yard landscape plantings.

Overall great experience, some delays due to supply chain issues but the builder did everything they could to get us into the home in a timely manner. We were updated every week by Wendy in the office along with pictures of building progress. Wendy was very responsive to any communication we had with her and if she didn’t know the answer she used her resources to get this the answer. Great builder to work with and would recommend buying from them.

These homes are put together quickly. Pre-fab. Workman ship is okay but not great quality. Still missing the main garage door. Delayed due to shipping.

While I am very excited to be in my new home, I am very disappointed with the fact that the laundry room water connections were clogged with dirt. This required multiple appointments with the plumber which resulted in the wall being opened. I am still waiting for the drywall to be repaired and the washing machine to be replaced. It has been 5 weeks since I moved in.

Quality of materials and workmanship do not even come close to producing the “luxury home” level result that KHOV promotes and advertises. What the builder considers “contractors grade” materials, I would expect to see more fitting in an affordable housing project. This house (like all the others on my street) were built much too fast and we were pressured to close escrow quickly before solving all the flaws during the walkthrough. Our best experience was the actual purchasing process. The sales staff was nice, however, they could have had more knowledge about the yearly climate and surrounding neighborhood environment. ... More
