Builder should pay some attention to details. Some finish work was on the sloppy side. Electrical outlets and switches could be better placed. Somewhat disappointed!

Initial sales experience lacked communication - many errors in info provided, lack of follow through. After sales rep replaced, 2nd sales person( Jerry) made up for the first one and was excellent on communication, updates and assistance. Home model is very nice but quality of work (sloppy careless paint jobs; driveway/entrance paving a mess -had to be redone; issues with GE refrigerator -delivery, install and repair; GE response time for repair; stains on carpet; damage to carpet; damage to quartz countertop). Issues that had to be addressed could have been avoided with better quality of workmanship and careful workers. This was our first new build and was at times a great experience and other times very frustrating. Thanks to Mike and Jerry for following through, being responsive , keeping us updated and taking care of issues under their control in a timely manner - they made the process much better and are great to work with. Stephanie has also been responsive and great to work with in resolving issues. Our 4 star rating for Responsiveness totally due to this group of KHov staff. Sales person should be more knowledgeable of product and details of options. Follow up was slow getting answers after we signed agreement. Overall very pleasant and open to help with our needs just seemed that she needed more knowledge about how options effect base build. Superintendent changes and transitions have made for a frustrating first month to get items addressed. I'm in the construction industry and recognize the challenge with the craft worker. You have a great community coming together but I believe the quality of product and communication is hurting your ability to fill community faster ... More

Two and a half months after we signed our contract we were contacted with the news that the design we had chosen could not be built on the lot we selected. After trying negotiations with them we agreed to change our model so that we could keep our lot. (By the time we were notified almost all the lots in our section had been claimed, including the most desirable.) Also, we were not given a projected closing date until 2 - 3 weeks prior, which made planning the move hard for us. Frustrating experience to get to closing. Settled even though long punch list. 30 days post closing still trying to resolve punch list. Tiresome process and puts a damper on the experience with builder.

Several Builder representatives are outstanding. Who you call for what can be unclear. Also, in some cases, too many people get involved in addressing a relatively straightforward issue.

They are OK. The best thing about this development is that it is on the water. Also, the Chester House is beautiful and has pools, game room, indoor and outdoor sitting with views of the Bay.

Sales staff unresponsive after we contracted. Construction crew stretched way too thin with so many simultaneous builds. Still waiting for many punch list items to be addressed.

Observations needed prior to settling: Don't let your guard down! Have an independent inspector or someone who knows construction go through the house with you to identify those things that need to be fixed prior to settlement. Once you have settled and moved in, it is very hard to get the repairs taken care of. Watch out for scratched sink basins and mirrors , rough cut lumber painted over, uneven window sills, imperfections on drywall painted over, broken tiles in floor of bathroom, unpainted surfaces on interior and exterior trim, concrete foundation cracks and breaks, exterior walls are 2"x 4"s not 2"x 6"s, garage floor rough finished, screens in exterior vents falling out, low water pressure in master bathroom, spray paint over spray on almost everything, Fireplace that does not work, ceiling wiring needs to be extended to safely hang electrical fixtures. Furnaces that are put in crooked and not aligned properly in drainage pan, Smashed drainage pans under CAC unit, Keep in mind these homes are built on concrete slabs not crawl spaces. Our sales person Dylan was great to work with and helped solve some issues during construction. We had an unlevel fire place from concrete floor not being level, sheetrock separating, faulty fire alarm, and metal siding buckled. So far KHOV has been responsive to our issues. KHOV needs to do a better job of overseeing the construction and use better quality of materials. It's a great neighborhood but quality of house doesn't match the price paid.

We were very pleased with the quality of the framing and overall construction, but very disappointed with the finishes, attention to detail and poor execution of the appliances, cabinets and trim.

No attention to detail in the build. Splatter on brand new flooring. Marks on exterior. Damaged cabinetry. Missing appliance manuals. Missing garage door openers. Shower not as promised. The cheap labor they subcontracted shows quite clearly.

HOA is dis-organized. K. Hov does not have quality control personnel to inspect home construction before each home is delivered to its buyer. K. Hov expects homeowners to be thoroughly familiar with technology (appliances, internet, wifi, security and etc.) used in their home, K. Hov's use of third -party contractors and subcontractors could benefit from closer supervision.

Dawn the sales person and Pam, the selection specialist we’re great. The settlement experience was frustrating and disappointing.

Since these were not normal times, there were supply issues, which delayed getting into the house.

They should have taken more time to do things correctly then rush just to complete the building. Couple more weeks or maybe even a month was probably needed. The workmanship is horrible on some items - they completed things so carelessly just to say it was done. Now as the homeowner I have to follow up, send emails, and follow up again to get everything corrected when it should have been done correctly from the beginning. Everything from painting not being completed, things not sanded prior to painting, cleaning paint from floors, crooked lights and walls, towel and toilet papers rods not hung properly, things not centered, doors that don't lock or lock and you can't open, two different sides on the balcony, and the list goes on. With all of these issues, how did it ever pass inspection? Surely someone should have noticed, isn't that their job? I can't be the only unit like this. My 9th home and an expensive one. The smallest high premium lot and one of the smallest homes. The construction manager was non-existent. I met him at the initial meeting and never saw or heard from him again until my final walkthrough....5 months! The only reason I gave him a decent review was he begged for it and Alyssa Tarsa asked me to do it. He has no empathy, no consideration, and blames any design or electrical or construction issue on someone else. He never completed a very small punch list, I did the work myself. Over all happy but major problems exist. Noise in HVAC system keeping my wife awake at night. Been addressed but not fixed. Shower pan cracked multiple places yet we are told its not under warranty. We have only been here 3 months. Stove top not secured to counter.

I felt that during the process, Dawn cost me money by her incompetence and lack of communication. I asked her to send me a contract and she did not, then the price went up, which i was trying to avoid. I was irritated at the entire process. The ugrades were terrible and all cost a lot!

There was misrepresentation by the selling rep on our property, Buyer pays for their mistakes, contract covers them legally from any recourse by the buyer. They can return your deposit and walk away. Closed on a home that is still not complete on many issues and no promises on when they will be completed. My painter commented on the poor finishing on drywall throughout the home. They are building homes too fast without regard for quality, they proclaim themselves a high end builder, not the case. Treat their customers very poorly.

I felt that the customer/buyer/end audience was not given deserved regard as the one spending the money. Simple items (responsiveness, honesty, consideration, graciousness, and apologies for mishaps) cost nothing but go along way toward greater satisfaction.

VERY difficult to get repairs scheduled and issues are never resolved in 1 visit. Repairmen cause damage when they come.
