We are very pleased with our K-Hov condo

Our sales person Dylan was great to work with and helped solve some issues during construction. We had an unlevel fire place from concrete floor not being level, sheetrock separating, faulty fire alarm, and metal siding buckled. So far KHOV has been responsive to our issues. KHOV needs to do a better job of overseeing the construction and use better quality of materials. It's a great neighborhood but quality of house doesn't match the price paid.

Builder should pay some attention to details. Some finish work was on the sloppy side. Electrical outlets and switches could be better placed. Somewhat disappointed!

The condo is everything I thought it would be and I love it.

Great purchase experience. George, our sales Rep., was great. Dylan, our construction manager, was outstanding.

Cheap materials but worse of all the worse contractors we have had in our home buying experience. This was our 4th home and we have never seen anything this bad.

Initial sales experience lacked communication - many errors in info provided, lack of follow through. After sales rep replaced, 2nd sales person( Jerry) made up for the first one and was excellent on communication, updates and assistance. Home model is very nice but quality of work (sloppy careless paint jobs; driveway/entrance paving a mess -had to be redone; issues with GE refrigerator -delivery, install and repair; GE response time for repair; stains on carpet; damage to carpet; damage to quartz countertop). Issues that had to be addressed could have been avoided with better quality of workmanship and careful workers. This was our first new build and was at times a great experience and other times very frustrating. Thanks to Mike and Jerry for following through, being responsive , keeping us updated and taking care of issues under their control in a timely manner - they made the process much better and are great to work with. Stephanie has also been responsive and great to work with in resolving issues. Our 4 star rating for Responsiveness totally due to this group of KHov staff. Waiting for a new home to be built (in my case, a condo), is difficult. You're anxious and always wondering what the status is and if you may be delayed from closing. Dylan was exceptional in communicating a true estimated closing date, setting my expectations appropriately for the right time. Not only did he let me know when i truly should expect to close, but also, he always made himself available to me when i wanted to pop in for a visit to see the property and re-see all the models for home decorating ideas and to dream about what my finished condo would look like! Not only that, he sent enthusiastic emails weekly documenting the build progress with pictures! It is so nice to have photos of my new home at each stage of it's construction! My walk-through was extremely informative and the builder provided me with all kinds of tips on how to best take care of appliances, pipes and the like. I enjoyed the process and am happy in my new condo. Of course, there are a few hiccups, but K Hovnanian's team have been responded to my issues in a timely manner. And, i do think some of the interior paint & trim & nail pops need some clean up work - but i'm hopeful that's what the touch up time will take care of in about 10 months! ... More

My home is lovely and well-made. If I stayed within the 4 walls, I might feel more positive overall. However, there is a huge building campaign going on and the beauty of the property is being sliced up into an army of small homes. This was not apparent to me in the artist rendering of the property when I was looking at the property. Construction trash is blown around and there are discarded bottles and trash on the grounds. I loved the birds and natural beauty of the water and grasses, but there is no way to get out to the water unless one walks all the way to the clubhouse. The wildlife that used to live here are pushed back. The buildings are overlit and overheated and homeowners pick up that expense in HOA dues. I am planning my departure, ... More

The condos generally have views that surpass the homes. Living in a construction zone takes some adjustment, but watching the site preparation and the building construction is fascinating.

I'm very pleased with my new home. They make the process very easy and they kept you informed through the whole process.

Over all happy but major problems exist. Noise in HVAC system keeping my wife awake at night. Been addressed but not fixed. Shower pan cracked multiple places yet we are told its not under warranty. We have only been here 3 months. Stove top not secured to counter.

THIS EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN LESS THAN BAD, STARTED WITH THE MORTGAGE THEN THE DESIGN CENTER AND THE OVERALL CONSTRUCTION PROCESS. AT CLOSING THERE WERE TOO MANY OPEN ITEMS TO CLOSE ,SOME OF WHICH REMAIN OPEN. 2 APPLIANCES ARE NON WORKING, NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF ANY ISSUES.

Overall we had a good experience

I felt that during the process, Dawn cost me money by her incompetence and lack of communication. I asked her to send me a contract and she did not, then the price went up, which i was trying to avoid. I was irritated at the entire process. The ugrades were terrible and all cost a lot!

Just about everything in the house was done poorly with no attention to detail. They slap the houses together as fast and cheaply as they can. Floor is out of level, horrible drywall work, voids in the concrete, things out of square, cheap materials and building practices used and on top of that the house was dirty when delivered to us. Very disappointed in our experience.

Sales person should be more knowledgeable of product and details of options. Follow up was slow getting answers after we signed agreement. Overall very pleasant and open to help with our needs just seemed that she needed more knowledge about how options effect base build. Superintendent changes and transitions have made for a frustrating first month to get items addressed. I'm in the construction industry and recognize the challenge with the craft worker. You have a great community coming together but I believe the quality of product and communication is hurting your ability to fill community faster ... More

Did not have a satisfactory experience.

I felt that the customer/buyer/end audience was not given deserved regard as the one spending the money. Simple items (responsiveness, honesty, consideration, graciousness, and apologies for mishaps) cost nothing but go along way toward greater satisfaction.

MMy salesperson Dylan was professional and helpful with everything from initial contract to closing. However after moving in I discovered. how bad the workmanship was. The painters oversprayed every window, the caulking seemed like it had been done by a first grader. Paint and caulking on virtually every floor. The cleaning crew was awful. Dylan the assistant construction supervisor is a gem. Spent hours trying to get everything cleaned up but there is still a lot to do. Now will have to depend on service to fix stuff

Sales person was always available to answer questions and was very helpful throghout the purchase process. All mortgage issues were addressed and assistance was provided when needed. All issues of delivery of residence were completed for closing of purchase. Would do it all again with K. Hovnanian company. A very positive expierience.
