Cheap materials but worse of all the worse contractors we have had in our home buying experience. This was our 4th home and we have never seen anything this bad.

Horrible builder and experience from beginning of process to the end!

The entire experience up until now (6 months later) has been challenging. The Project Manager, is not trustworthy and is slow to respond when it directly affects his "bonus" or incentive to complete a job and totally non communicative on any and every other issue. i.e. during the walk-thru in December 2023, a issue was brought to his attention with a promise to have it address within a couple of days, to date has not been resolved, last visit to my home on 4/25/2023, he again promised to resolve an issue, have not heard a word from him as of today 7/3/2023. Issues directly affecting his bonus are all resolved. His direct supervisor is also non-responsive when copied on this issue. At this point, I don’t want him anywhere near my home. My sales rep, beautiful personality however, in my opinion, is over worked therefore unable to thoroughly provide the information and services needed in making informed decisions in the buying experience, which could have ultimately resulted for me a disaster I would have had to live with in my forever home. i.e. clarity on options, placements and costs... letting the clients know the selection of model homes extend beyond the model homes on site. Satisfactory ratings for the Warranty and HOA (First Service) dept. Overall, the home now meets most of what I was looking for as my forever home, however it has been the process (service) of making it the completed forever home that was and still is most disappointing. ... Just about everything in the house was done poorly with no attention to detail. They slap the houses together as fast and cheaply as they can. Floor is out of level, horrible drywall work, voids in the concrete, things out of square, cheap materials and building practices used and on top of that the house was dirty when delivered to us. Very disappointed in our experience.

Sales should provide house blue print including Receptacles and possibility of adding wires for electric range and water heater. Homeowner should visit the site every week to check the progress and point out defects, since construction manager doe snot do his job! Too may homes are being built at once and not enough construction managers to cover quality control.

If you don’t use k hov mortgage they change their attitude and are rude and nasty. Also, they try to add on unlawful fees if you don’t close on time when they held up the closing processing.

The entire experience, since I put purchased this alone, as a retirement home, has been more then scary.

If the axiom Location, Location, Location wasn’t true, we would have walked.

We have had several issues! Namely, electrical panel had to be replaced, including circuit breakers. That being said, I came home from NY, after burying my Mother to a dead refrigerator ( breaker was thrown.) that was July 31st! Still waiting for a new refrigerator!! The humidity in our home has been as high as 78% for many weeks, and still averages 67%. Unless, I turn the thermostat to 67 degrees. I can’t live like this much longer. And the standard answer is, ‘ wait till Fall! And the building will dry out!” The lack of response for the higher ups is appalling! And I will never recommend any buying here in FS. THIS EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN LESS THAN BAD, STARTED WITH THE MORTGAGE THEN THE DESIGN CENTER AND THE OVERALL CONSTRUCTION PROCESS. AT CLOSING THERE WERE TOO MANY OPEN ITEMS TO CLOSE ,SOME OF WHICH REMAIN OPEN. 2 APPLIANCES ARE NON WORKING, NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF ANY ISSUES.

My experience with KHOV has been disappointing on just about every level. They do have some amazing people working for them however they cant do anything to help resolve my numerous design and construction issues. The upgrades are not worth purchasing, I purchased them all, there cheap, antiquated and none functional. I've tried to meet with upper management about my long list of issues, nothing gets resolved. I would never recommend KHOV.

Where do I begin….. I was told when looking to buy that it would be soundproof and you wouldn’t hear anyone above or around you. Not true! Paint job is horrible with multiple coats on trim, paint not cleaned off the floor, and streaks on the walls. Mold mold mold! My unit has been humid from the day I moved in on July 30, 2021. Now over 30 days later and the situation hasn’t been resolved. Seems they can’t figure it out but they can do a lot of finger pointing. Was told I need a dehumidifier but I’ve spoken with others on the first floor in buildings 1 and 2 and they have no issues. I’ve recently learned they had a better GC than what buildings 3 and 4 have. The GC Kurt doesn’t return phone calls or requests for calls by the homeowner. It is physically unbearable to live here and I’m afraid of mold lying on other items of mine that I’ve not seen yet. I look forward to hearing from someone! ... More
