Sales process by Dylan has been extremely professional — attentive and transparent. Stephanie and Dylan at Homeowners Services take pride in solving issues — and they do. The opportunity for improvement is the sit down settlement. You should prepare a folder with labels separating and identifying each set of documents. We simply got a huge amount of documents that were not even stapled by category, and sorting it out by ourselves was not easy. It gives the impression you simply don’t care enough or you are saving money. Glad to talk about it.

Our experience from start to finish went very smoothly. No major issues at all and just a few normal questions along the way. Settlement date was as they told us and we are very happy with our home.

This is the 3rd new construction home my wife and I have purchased. It was undoubtedly the best experience of the three. From the sales team to the site foreman to customer service, we were always treated with respect and issues were addressed promptly. The only real criticism we have is that the quality of the cabinetry vendor does not match the quality of the rest of the house. Given how central the kitchen is to our floor plan, this was disappointing.

Sales staff unresponsive after we contracted. Construction crew stretched way too thin with so many simultaneous builds. Still waiting for many punch list items to be addressed.

The members of the sales staff were very good, however there is no option to make structural changes to the models offered. The model homes are well appointed, but some of the finishes used are not available. The process for choosing finishes and purchasing our home went smoothly. Supply chain issues delayed completing everything in our home until one month after closing, but the construction manager was responsive to our needs. We were still able to take occupancy of the house the same month originally promised

Two and a half months after we signed our contract we were contacted with the news that the design we had chosen could not be built on the lot we selected. After trying negotiations with them we agreed to change our model so that we could keep our lot. (By the time we were notified almost all the lots in our section had been claimed, including the most desirable.) Also, we were not given a projected closing date until 2 - 3 weeks prior, which made planning the move hard for us. Frustrating experience to get to closing. Settled even though long punch list. 30 days post closing still trying to resolve punch list. Tiresome process and puts a damper on the experience with builder.

The good was the weekly emails with photos of construction progress. Although closing was delayed 1 month because of material delays, we were satisfied with how we were kept informed of the delays. We were very very disappointed in the choices and prices of upgrades offered. Upgrades were far over-priced. For example, the KHOV cost to upgrade from a GE Profile to Monogram refrigerator was $1,630, when the Monogram refrigerator actually cost $330 less if purchased from GE or at Best Buy. Upgrade costs for all appliances were at least double what the actual upgrades would cost in a store. Other upgrade costs, such as floors, were also excessive. We found we would be better off doing some of the upgrades ourselves. ... More

We were very pleased with the quality of the framing and overall construction, but very disappointed with the finishes, attention to detail and poor execution of the appliances, cabinets and trim.

We enjoy our new home and are waiting for some final issues to be resolved. We couldn’t ask for a better construction manager they the building process. The various trades workers were efficient & professional. This is the 11th house that we have built and love it’s design and features!

No attention to detail in the build. Splatter on brand new flooring. Marks on exterior. Damaged cabinetry. Missing appliance manuals. Missing garage door openers. Shower not as promised. The cheap labor they subcontracted shows quite clearly.

My experience with KHOV has been disappointing on just about every level. They do have some amazing people working for them however they cant do anything to help resolve my numerous design and construction issues. The upgrades are not worth purchasing, I purchased them all, there cheap, antiquated and none functional. I've tried to meet with upper management about my long list of issues, nothing gets resolved. I would never recommend KHOV.

If you don’t use k hov mortgage they change their attitude and are rude and nasty. Also, they try to add on unlawful fees if you don’t close on time when they held up the closing processing.

The people at K. Hov make the home building process easy. They aim to please.

Rebeeka was great. Up front and helped on many fronts

Rebekka, Kevin and Dillon have been wonderful to work with. Rebekka kept us updated as construction progressed. She even sent pictures almost weekly so we could be part of the process. All three have been pleasant and easy to work with. Kevin and Dillon have been responsive to any problems we have had since moving in. The only difficulty has been with the H OA . They have been hard to reach. We still have no trash cans or recycle bins and we have been here over a month. Would like to hear from someone soon

Poor buying experience - lack of clear communication from start to finish.

They should have taken more time to do things correctly then rush just to complete the building. Couple more weeks or maybe even a month was probably needed. The workmanship is horrible on some items - they completed things so carelessly just to say it was done. Now as the homeowner I have to follow up, send emails, and follow up again to get everything corrected when it should have been done correctly from the beginning. Everything from painting not being completed, things not sanded prior to painting, cleaning paint from floors, crooked lights and walls, towel and toilet papers rods not hung properly, things not centered, doors that don't lock or lock and you can't open, two different sides on the balcony, and the list goes on. With all of these issues, how did it ever pass inspection? Surely someone should have noticed, isn't that their job? I can't be the only unit like this. Where do I begin….. I was told when looking to buy that it would be soundproof and you wouldn’t hear anyone above or around you. Not true! Paint job is horrible with multiple coats on trim, paint not cleaned off the floor, and streaks on the walls. Mold mold mold! My unit has been humid from the day I moved in on July 30, 2021. Now over 30 days later and the situation hasn’t been resolved. Seems they can’t figure it out but they can do a lot of finger pointing. Was told I need a dehumidifier but I’ve spoken with others on the first floor in buildings 1 and 2 and they have no issues. I’ve recently learned they had a better GC than what buildings 3 and 4 have. The GC Kurt doesn’t return phone calls or requests for calls by the homeowner. It is physically unbearable to live here and I’m afraid of mold lying on other items of mine that I’ve not seen yet. I look forward to hearing from someone! ... More

We really love our new home by K-hovnanian. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding and the construction management team provided us with excellent service during the entire process. The design center was also exceptional in providing final design services. Great home at an excellent value!

In general the overall experience was very good. Khov kept us informed of the progress all along the way. The designs they offered were really good. The final product met our expectations. I will say that the quality of items such as window sills(particularly the edges) and painting could have been better. Additionally, it takes a long time for punch list items to get addressed. Also, for some reason the garage is not painted. For the price of the home, painting the garage should be included. The only other issue is the actual option selection process. Several options we wanted we were told were no longer offered yet months later they still show up as available options on their list. ... More
