From the day that we signed the contract in March 2022 until we got our keys in October 2022, everything went very smoothly And without a delay or hitch. We were warned by others that the post COVID time would creat delays, never happened. Stacy, our sales representative put all the paperwork together and James, our project manager did the rest! We have been in the house for 4 months and love it! We have 2 minor issues, but Josh, the Warrenty rep. Took care of them right away. I ca not say enough good things about our experience with KHovnanian Homes!

I was happy with the original sales people like Stacy and the way options were explained to me at the design center. My project manager was very helpful and communicated every week. He forwarned me of potential delays and moving in was delayed 2 months. I was disappointed in that but not in the house or fixing things that needed to be done before, and after I moved in. My PM was great at answering my questions, even ones I asked more than once.

It would help new home buyers to be able to talk to some of the other people that bought a similar house and ask if they were to build again what would they do differently. Working with Nick and Stacy made this easy. They were extremely helpful and responsive The experience went without a hitch except for small supply chain issues which are out of your control

I had a very good experience. I had my sister in the area and she helped keep an eye on things. I got weekly updates and if I had questions they were answered promptly.

Lisa N was outstanding and very supportive during our entire process. James was outstanding addressing all of our questions and explaining the entire process until we moved in and then was extremely helpful with issues we had with some of our appliances contractor. I would say because of the two of them they took a lot of stress off of our experience.

While the quality of materials was as I expected from a large developer in a booming development, there were occasional lapses in the quality of workmanship that would have been a problem, if not for the excellent customer service provided by our construction manager, Nick. He was always ready to listen - even when I was a little frustrated -- and always saw to it that the concern / problem was addressed to my satisfaction. Great representative for K. Hovnanian.

Despite supply chain issues, the team got us an excellent home. The warranty department could use some help; slow to respond.

After a wind storm, a lot of the wood trim that was in garage had to be replaced (after it was installed) never should have been installed!

Nick, our construction manager, and Stacey, our sales consultant, have been best parts of this build/move. They both were exceptionally receptive to emails and phone calls and made it possible for us to manage this build from 1100 miles away. It would have been a completely different experience if it wasn't for them, We were disappointed, however, in the materials and workmanship, specifically the painting, done in the house. There were many areas that had poorly painted walls, 'bubbled' texture, and overall sloppiness. Nick corrected all of the issues we had, but he had to even correct their corrections. At the meeting to review your new home a folder giving information about how to care for your new home and warranties would have been appreciated.

My sales consultant was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me purchase my home and went above and beyond with the closing of the property.

When we met with sales team we felt good and a very positive process, while the house was being built we could see the work and that process was very open and consistent. Now that we are in the house we have had some issues but the team reacts quickly. My final comments are beautiful home but I would suggest to improve for future home buyers you should look at some other subcontractors, allow more quality upgrades, and have better cleaning crew when you turn house over to buyer.

Project manger James was excellent. Very responsive and helpful at every phase. Trades such as painter and cleaning crew are less than desirable. Painter never cleaned walls or fixed dry wall prior to painting. This caused a lot of touch up and repaints to happen. Which lead to lots of paint splatter on every floor which was left for home owners to clean up. Doors and trim were never cleaned. Trim work is very sloppy - mismatched corners nail holes not filled.

The picking of the designs for the home, the process was good but somethings were not explained and I assumed were included in the home, I wanted a larger patio and thought that I mentioned it but it was not done, I did not pay extra for it but would have and planned on it but I guess I never explained myself.

Stacey is awesome James is great, once you get passed his hard shell So many little things were not well done. If it was just a few, it would have been fine. But add them all up and it doesn't make for a great experience. We are moved in for a month and still finding things that shouldn't be.

Would I do it again? Yes probably. My sales girl Lisa was wonderful. Jocelyn at the design center has the patience of a saint and extreme helpful. Lastly my construction manager Nick simply outstanding. With that being said I believe the design center should know the models a little better with lighting details. What would work in different spots. It is also very hard to pick out carpet, flooring, lighting, paint, siding and fixtures . Well actually everything in one day. It is helpful to go the design center first before your appointment to look at things first. I was very impressed with some of the quality and workmanship however some of it leaves much to be desired. I'm not sure how you leave gaps in the drywall above a door frame. If the house is painted more than once I would think it would cover white areas of the drywall. The painting could be much better and they need to cover the counter tops when touching up the paint. Paint sprayings on new quartz counters. I know they are initially covered. Not thrilled with my concrete work. I spent 7 hours over two days scrubbing and scraping the concrete off my siding and sliding door. They need to cover these areas before pouring the cement. The windows both top and bottom should tilt for easy cleaning. Keeping in mind it's a 55plus community. I love my GE Profile appliances so much more than the Kitchen Aid ones I left. I love the layout of my house and the storage it has. My favorite is my ceiling to floor brick/stone fireplace and my kitchen cabinets. The pool area is so pretty , my neighbors are great. Cant't wait for the walking trail and dog park when it's completed. It's a give and take and nothing is perfect and we're all human. The sales associates were wonderful. Knowledgeable,helpful, insightful! Our contractor was helpful on many levels. The mortgage company was none of these!

As closing got nearer and issues found after closing still not resolved and it’s been two months. Two major things I paid for were never installed and I am still fighting to get them. Hired my own inspector during build. He found a few major issues and KHov refused to fix. For price of home I feel quality is not there. Once you sign on dotted line they become very independent. Also despite what they say you have to use their lender or it’s a different contract with lots of restrictions. Happy with community but not with building experience

Nice people, some craftsmanship could use improvement

The quality in this home is shoddy at best. We have lived here for 3 months and have had three leaks! The flashing was never put on parts of the house and garage. The shower head was installed incorrectly and not caulked sufficiently which caused a leak. The guest bathroom has a leak into the basement. The plumber is coming next week. The paint is inconsistent, some areas look as if they were not painted at all! There are cracks and areas of the wall that are not typical “house settling”. There are wires under the kitchen cabinets literally hanging down and if you touch them the light goes out.The repose time is good yet this is of little condolence given the repeated times necessary for responses. There are areas that were not caulked. I would NOT recommend KHov to anyone! In fact, I would suggest they look elsewhere. Disappointing quality to say the least. The builder representatives doesn't honor their word. Made promises to return to address issues then stopped coming around. The quality of work done by certain contractors is very poor, i.e., the garage door installation. The company refused to admit that their work was not to standard, therefore, the issues were not corrected. The city inspectors seemed to overlook a lot of quality issues. I would not recommend this builder to anyone based on the people that represent them and the contractors that they hire.
