The Company has worked very hard to deliver my house on time and certainly to have everything complete . I was able to move in several weeks early compared to the original projection at groundbreaking so that saved extra rental expenses . There have been some minor issues to correct , but Mike was readily available to review the concerns and have them corrected .None of those issues prevented me from full use of the house once I moved in .Now that I have all new appliances and new construction , I am no longer spending my spare time or weekends being Mr . Fix-It !!!

We moved in to our new home in December. Barbara and Coop were great to work with. They had answers for most of my many questions and the ones they didn't have answers to they researched and got back to me.

From Barbara as the salesperson, to John as the superintendent, to Froy in Homeowner Services, everyone has been accommodating, friendly and attentive. Overall the best home buying experience we’ve ever had. Oh and did I mention the home is beautiful? :)

Purchasing the home was a straightforward process. The homes floor plan is well designed but has some shortcomings in terms of quality. The Builder charges ridiculous prices for flooring and upgrades. The standard components used in the home are minimum “builders grade“ quality. For example, for all plumbing fixtures, cheap rubber hoses are used instead of metal mesh on all plumbing fixtures. This means years down the road these hoses could easily burst flooding the home and all of them need to be changed at the owners expense. The lots are unfinished, which is extremely costly. as soon as I moved in had lot of issues some of which were resolved but others not yet. the quality of material used and the work is not par with the price I paid to purchase the house. disappointed with the crude workmanship

Our new home at Four Seasons Kent Island is nice however, it took extra effort and many issues needed to be addressed. Overall quality of the house was average but below our expectations. The process described for building the house prior to buying, was a bit different then actually experienced. We were not allowed to do a pre-drywall inspection due to errors by the builders and will always wonder what might have been missed. Obviously issues with the building process. Materials used for the house were low quality. The “blue tape” operation required a whole roll of tape to point out flaws and issues with construction. Which were mostly all corrected prior to closing. Water pressure to the house is not great. Hope it doesn’t get worse as more houses are built. Selection of interior items and finishes was ok but would have liked more options and flexibility to choose between finishes. No paint options and the quality of the flat paint used iwas poor. Four seasons is a great development. Homes are well designed and offer above average options. There are several improvements that are needed to improve the buying and acceptance process.

Nothing is perfect but my experience with the builder during the process of building my home was a good one. If there was a problem that needed to be corrected they were there to help make it right. Both Rich and Konner the building supervisors would help in making sure everything was finished on time and if a problem was identified during inspection,it would be fixed. I have to say very happy so far with my selection.

Quick turnaround time. Closed within the promised timeframe. Overall, it is a smooth buying process.

Buying a new home with KHOV was extremely stressful.

The quality of the kitchen cabinets is poor. Paid for upgraded kitchen cabinets. They are not real wood. Should have had the option to upgrade the padding for the carpet. The drywall and painting could have been done better.

Buying our new home in Four Seasons at Terra Lago couldn’t have been a better experience. Everyone we dealt with from Barbara (our salesperson), Ross (loan officer) and Froy (takes care of any home issues) have been wonderful and professional. We love our new community and look forward to many happy years ahead.

Trustworthiness 1 star is for their finace company only! Without our abuse we received for financing the overall experience would be 5 stars. Huge mistake choosing Hovnanian American Mortgage to save 35,000 in building costs. Quoted 10 year mortgage at 5.6% and weeks before closing got call saying that’s expired and the best we can do is 20 years at 8,25 820+ credit score and 70% down. Then they delayed our closing to the day before Thanksgiving because we opened a Costco card and put down 1500 extra interest that we earned while waiting for closing. Had to cancel family plans for Thanksgiving, reschedule movers, deliveries and contractors. Buyer beware if you use their financing option. They sold the loan within 30 days. We have had an amazing experience during the process. Wendy, Eric, Froy & Andrew have been very easy to deal with, responsive, timely and very attentive to all of our questions, needs and concerns.

The sales agents were outstanding and the service representatives were curious and responsive.

The area between our house and our neighbor's house was a swamp. We found out later this had been an issue long before we closed on the house. When we contacted the warranty people, we were told by Jeff O. that our warranty for flooded turf was not under warranty. We tracked down our builder Dave P. and he managed to help resolve the issue. We had issues with Jeff O, the entire time on other issues as well. Finally, we just flagged down Dave P. and despite how busy he was, he managed to resolve any other issues within a couple minutes. Great community! Beautiful home. Sales and follow up on small builders issues outstanding. DO NOT use their mortgage broker or their recommended legal attorneys. Unless you want your confidential information shared— Very Unprofessional!!! And cost you thousands of dollars in taxes! Even though both the mortgage broker and attorney practice in S.C. Does Not mean they understand the requirements or law! Costing the buyer unnecessarily thousands of dollars.

Diana and Bret keep a tight schedule and our home finished 2 months ahead of the original estimate. Anthony jas picked up on the warranty issues and is quick, attentive to detail, and manages the contractors almost effortlessly.

Not a lot of clarification during sales process. Final inspection much too quick with many questions and concerns left unanswered.

Everyone was available and responsive throughout my new home purchase experience.

Our realtor was fantastic... Dylan! Lou was very responsive to all of our asks. Great group of individuals... I would recommend this team to anyone.

Design is very good. Location is good if not a little remote, Cannot say enough good words about the sales staff, Mike & Adam, especially Mike. Homes are built quickly using specialized subcontractors, that do ONLY their thing, and will overlook any previous contractors shortcomings, Otherwise, if You stay on top of things, its great.

I bought a house that was already purchased by another buyer and they backed out and we took over the house 3 months before we moved in. All of the extras were already picked and we could not make any changes. I wish we had bought the house first hand and picked out all of the extras we wanted. We like the house and love the community.
