The entire experience, since I put purchased this alone, as a retirement home, has been more then scary.

The experience was smooth and easy.

KHov responded first thing Monday after a weekend notification that our fascia trim had come off during a storm. Workers came out the same week to replace the missing pieces. Only concern was that it was not correctly installed in the first place.

All phases went smooth from sales, to delivery. Some items like sink in the laundry area, and some light switches were located not in the best pace Construction coordinators was very helpful

Fixed right the First time -fast response-good communication

Kathryn from the sales team and Nicole from the design team were outstanding. They made our experience number one!!!

Some of the construction was not any where the quality I thought was supposed to be. When an individual pays $700K plus you are expecting high quality, but not here. Four roof trusses were either cut or severely broken to make the roof system fit. One floor joist is bent about 15 degrees creating creaking when walked over, The electrical system was poorly designed. One 20 amp circuit for 12 outlets in the kitchen is at best a joke. In today's world many appliances are operated at the same time but not in this kitchen the way it was designed. Mike in the sales office lied on a consistent basis. No gas meter, but when I drove through the house there was one installed. And so on. He stated after telling me that the settlement date had to be pushed back 2 weeks on three different occasions, one being there were only 2 building inspectors working for the county and on was out sick. Getting items fixed has been a nightmare until very recently. Fixing the trusses have still not been addressed after a third party inspection found the problem in the first few minutes approximately 8 weeks ago. And the list goes on and on. ... More

Enjoyed working with the Sales Team. Everything delivered as promised. Great Location and a Great KHOV Four Seasons Community.

Everyone involved in our buying experience have been great! From sales to mortgage handling to construction manager communication to closing, everyone was excellent. The follow through on issues after closing have been prompt and complete. Especially pleased with Carlos, Otto and Nick.

We enjoyed the friendly sales staff, Barbera Wagner, she was very helpful in providing available lot information. Tom, was thorough during our walkthrough education and provided service after our closing

Terrible detail on cabinets in kitchen and granite

This buying and building experience was far better than anticipated. We've all heard the horror stories of working with builders - this was not the case here. We were kept informed throughout the process and while there were a few minor issues, the KHov staff was very responsive in addressing those issues - and continue to be after moving in. Would we do it again if we had the chance? You bet! How many times have you heard that?

All the above staff where amazing and did what needed to be done to get us into our home in a timely matter

VERY difficult to get repairs scheduled and issues are never resolved in 1 visit. Repairmen cause damage when they come.

The closing process is very clunky and unorganized. The Design center needs to be more detailed, especially with electrical. Otherwise, it was an overall good experience. Mike was the best on construction site.

The staff in our community have been wonderful working under a lot of pressure and with many trades. For a new home we were disappointed in the quality of the workmanship we spent the first month and 1/2 having people in an out of our home fixing things that should have been done upfront. We still have one item outstanding to be addressed we paid for high-end cabinets and the installation was less than impressive. Michelle and Tim worked very hard to assist us in working on getting the trades into address our issues, but here we are with the one outstanding issue. I appreciate the post sale services. The service manager responded my requests promptly, he and his team fixed the problems immediately upon my requests with the professional qualities and attitudes. I have bought 2 times of new home from K. Hovnanian in different communities and the post sale services are super.

Overall, we had a great experience. We feel that the Sale rep gave exactly what we wanted although we had some minor logistics glitch like changing the date of closing.

We found the purchasing process quite frustrating. We can not example how many emails and texts went unanswered. The sales team promised everything and then the operating group indicated that they had no knowledge of facts presented. An example. An application for the install of a pool was made apparently denied with no reasons given other that we dont grant approval before the completion of the house. All that was wanted on our part was the ability to start construction once the house was closed on so we could enjoy the summer. This just went on deaf ears Second the whole closing process was a mess. No leas than three closing documents were created all in correct just days from closing. Lastly no explain of the repair process was ever made when the house was finished. No list of number, no contacts no anything. This left us days trying to get thru to people. When we inquired about having the lawn mowed 6 weeks after closing we were told no one informed that department the the house was finished. If asked we would NOT recommend you to any new buyer. Or would tell new buyers to do hold backs on the final close. That you would now ask, months after close for our opinion examples the problem We do not expect to bear anything back from you on this. We have had several issues! Namely, electrical panel had to be replaced, including circuit breakers. That being said, I came home from NY, after burying my Mother to a dead refrigerator ( breaker was thrown.) that was July 31st! Still waiting for a new refrigerator!! The humidity in our home has been as high as 78% for many weeks, and still averages 67%. Unless, I turn the thermostat to 67 degrees. I can’t live like this much longer. And the standard answer is, ‘ wait till Fall! And the building will dry out!” The lack of response for the higher ups is appalling! And I will never recommend any buying here in FS. Very sad situation…. Not the way retirement was suppose to be. ... More

From beginning to end the process was very smooth for me. I was looking for a quick move in and it just so happened that I found the perfect one. The quality and workmanship were just what I was looking for. Thank you KHovnanian for delivering a great home and community to live in.
