Would be nice if the numerous light switches were labeled. Also surprised there isn’t a switch for kitchen lights when entering from garage. For Donegal models with a sun room- the floor outlet is centered in the room. With a sun room addition many of us place our couches farther toward the master bed door. This makes the floor outlet useless unless you want a tripping hazard, or fire hazard with an area rug. Put peep holes in the front doors.

We absolutely love our new home! We’ve met som wonderful people. As with any new community I’m sure there’s room for improvement but we are happy we chose Four Seasons as our final & forever home

Khov is a good company but needs to be more attentive to the details - big and small. We love our home and our Community but Khov is struggling with growth issues. Our community infrastructure (pools, courts, exercise facilities, landscaping, lakes and irrigation is struggling due to lack of maintenance management by Khov and the property management company. The handover by Khov six months ago to the HOA has been poorly handled with financial, accounting and maintenance irregularities - the end result being special assessments on the backs of home owners. With a little bit of planning, better record keeping and competent management by the property management company over the years this could have been avoided. Get your act together Khov and protect your wonderful reputation. We your customers and you deserve it! ... More

Everyone that I encountered during the build was very helpful. The quality of the homes is beautiful.

The support personnel are stellar. The company cut corners for profit. When you pay for upgrades, make sure they are. For example, quartz instead of granite. $2 plants in front of the house is landscaping? For the price paid, a refrigerator wasn’t included, neither a washer or dryer. Not even a credit. The first thing you see entering the house is the seams in the vinyl siding. This house was almost $600K, not $300K…have I made my point.

Great neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Great facilities, too. Got one of the last new homes in the neighborhood at a great price. House did not come with gutters, strange for a community in Florida where it rains regularly. Only downside was the lawns were not being kept up well by the builder/HOA. Not sure if lawn was diseased or not getting enough water. Overall experience was good. Despite minor flaws listed, it was at a price that was too good to pass up!

For the most part, we were very satisfied with the home buying process and the responsiveness of the sales agent and construction staff. However, we were very disappointed in two issues that would make us reluctant to recommend KHOV to others-- 1) no one in sales or at settlement ever conveyed to us that the quarterly water and sewer charges were going to be equally shared by all residents of multiple building versus separately metered where we would pay for only our own water usage. That is a significant that should have been explained beforehand, especially since some of us have second homes and aren't living in the home all year; 2) In order to sell the last condo in our building before the end of the year (the exact same model as ours with the same options on the same floor and right next door to us), KHOV reduced the price by $50,000, in affect significantly cheapening the value of our own property and others. This action was very self-serving to KHOV, totally unnecessary and a great disservice to the dozens of buyers who had already purchased their new home. ... More

Four seasons is a great development. Homes are well designed and offer above average options. There are several improvements that are needed to improve the buying and acceptance process.

OK with punch list items

Diana and Bret keep a tight schedule and our home finished 2 months ahead of the original estimate. Anthony jas picked up on the warranty issues and is quick, attentive to detail, and manages the contractors almost effortlessly.

Design is very good. Location is good if not a little remote, Cannot say enough good words about the sales staff, Mike & Adam, especially Mike. Homes are built quickly using specialized subcontractors, that do ONLY their thing, and will overlook any previous contractors shortcomings, Otherwise, if You stay on top of things, its great.

Appliances is too difficult using every day. Too complicated. Specially elderly people.

When the house was being built, we were not contacted at the different mill stones. We did not meet the builder until final inspection.

First the good; our Superintendent Tim Burns has been terrific through the process of the two homes we bought this year at Four Seasons. He has been responsive, informative and extremely helpful with any issues we have had. Please extend our appreciation to Mr. Burns. Now the not so good; while most of the workmanship is fine there have been a few things that were not acceptable even for a non-custom home. Trim work was fair at best, paint was simply not very good. (awe had our home completely repainted inside), stair railing has glue marks that did not take the stain and it is very noticeable. My home purchasing experience with K. Hovnanian has been a remarkable journey. My wife and I searched so many residential communities in Virginia and other states, before settling in Four Seasons at Kent Island in Chester Maryland. Our newly built spec home already included many of the features we desired. Marvelous flooring, up-to-date appliances, high ceilings, and a beautiful loft style kitchen. Throughout the entire home purchasing process and there after, we have received exemplary professional and courteous service from all the different components that makeup the Four Seasons at Kent Island. We are truly happy with K. Hovnanian residential building style, our spacious Kelly home, and the amenities that are available and associated with this wonderful community. From the day we put our deposit down, we were told the date the house was going to be ready for us to receive the keys, and they were right on the date. Having 45 years of construction experience myself, K Hovnanian Builders are by far the most impressive builders I have experienced. Quality workers, materials, and clean jobsites. We had a list of items that were needed to be completed before the house could closed, and they were all taken care of, with `15 minutes to spare, thanks to the efforts of everyone, from the workers, foreman, supervisors, all the way to the main man in the office. We love our home. We had a few things that were not quite ready at settlement but were taken care of promptly. Dylan is an outstanding job supervisor. He took care of everything we needed done.

This was a challenge for us and the folks helping us did their best to make it successful.

Overall workmanship and materials used in construction build have been very satisfactory. Khov staff and warranty personnel have been accessible and very accommodating.

Overall our buying experience was good and we enjoyed working with the KHOV staff. Thanks to our builder Michael for all of his efforts to do things right and to Alex for working hard to handle our warranty issues.

All phases went smooth from sales, to delivery. Some items like sink in the laundry area, and some light switches were located not in the best pace Construction coordinators was very helpful

Good experience so far. New and not full time yet.
