The salesperson were excellent as the service manager, However, the response to issues related to the house is not good. The landscaping company took almost sixty days to respond for a concern, regarding flooding of the front yard . The quality of the materials is not good. The electric circuit breaker keeps going off even thought the electrician came to replace it.

Our experience with both our sales representative (Liz) and construction manager (Stefane) made this home building experience a good one. To the extent that we had construction issues, these two individuals helped us address and remediate them.

Carlos and Scott were excellent keeping us up to date and answering all of our questions.

Very much enjoying our new home and the amenities.

Several poor painting areas on walls and trim. Finish work spotty at best. Once we were in the house for several weeks the repair men were very good. Especially Rich and Bruce

Fred was very knowledgeable of the property and surrounding area, Got a sense of our wants a, needs and desires and walked through the process without pressure. As a matter of fact, we worked with Fred over a one-month period until we got things to our mutual satisfaction.

KHovnanian does not know how to build a house correctly the 1st time. Everything from cheap, unprofessional subcontractors to on-site personnel who do not conduct proper supervision of the trades employed result in home owner problems that are handed off to a warranty team that take months to resolve the problems they inherit. Exterior stone masonry, cabinets damaged or MISSING, horrible painting / finishing (inside & out), appliances (& the installation of same), upgraded beam work installed not square to the structure, even uninspected rough electric work are examples I personally know of that were not done professionally. These problems are then handed off to a overloaded warranty team that don't have the time to show up when trades are scheduled to do their repairs and the homeowner is required to wait hours & hours multiple times for trades who show up without floor protection, without their proper equipment or tools to do their jobs, & who often don't even have the correct repair information with them when they do arrive & have to reschedule their visits. Overall very sloppy workmanship throughout

When I purchased my home I had an issue with the kitchen countertop and a couple of things that we paid for that they didn't install. A month after close they did replace the countertop, but on the install of the new one I pointed out some defects. They sent someone from the manufacturer out to look at the defects in the countertop and 3 months later we are still waiting to hear back. After moving in I noticed all my neighbors had garage door keypads on the outside of their house and I did not. I called the builder and he said I needed to get in touch with warranty. I called the 1-800 number and within a few days Jeff called me and told me my home didn't get that option. I said it was hard to believe when all my neighbors had one and I didn't. He replied that we didn't pay for that option when we built the house. I reached out to the salesmen and got a hold of the build sheet which showed I paid for the garage keypad and a couple more items we did not receive. I called Jeff back and told him the situation which he insisted I email him the build sheet. After a couple days of not hearing nothing from him I texted him wanted to know the status of the garage keypad and he replied back that he could have someone out there Monday afternoon at 1pm. I came home early from work to be their when they arrived and the keypad was installed, but not programed. I waited for the installer to show back up at the appointment time, but nothing. I reached out to Jeff asking him why I am waiting for the installer when we had an appointment and he told me they were in the neighborhood this morning and installed the keypad and it was my responsibility to program it. I took off work when they could of called and cancelled the appointment, but I was never notified by Jeff on the situation. Another item we paid for and did not receive are the shutters for the front window of the house. On the build sheet it shows me a color of the shutters that we are supposed to have and Jeff keeps telling me my home does not receive them. I explained to Jeff that on the build sheet it would show none next to the items that we do not get, but the shutters list a color so we should have shutters. I even went to two of my neighbors and they have a color next to the shutters on build sheet and their shutters are on order from warranty. Dealing with the warranty department is very stressful!! I still have a flood light that we paid for and it was never installed as well and nothing will ever get done unless you keep calling them. ... More

Features are less than what purchased, such as no ability to set water heater temperature. Some workmanship extremely sloppy (painting, caulking for e.g.). Washer lid hits cabinets (model version doesn't). Some windows won't stay open. Definitely love the floor plan and hope all issues get resolved. Other people say that the issues do get resolved.

Space is laid out well.

Very pleased with the employees and their dedication to customer satisfaction. The few minor issues I had were immediately dealt with. Love the home! From start to finish, a very professional team.

house not cleaned properly before delivery, several things still not fixed, ( second Bath room Glass around the shower) garage door cracks/ snaps and creeks needs grease. the outside front plants are poor quality. several tape points still not painted, hole in wall under the light fixture in second bath not fixed and repainted . the greenery does an overall poor job. The layout of the second bathroom could be much better. Overall we like the house a lot.

Not a lot of inventory in south Florida so we bought here. The community is nice but the homes are ok. Construction isn’t great. The walls are very thin. Can literally hear EVERYTHING even when doors are shut. They told us our house would be ready within a year. It was almost 18 months before we closed. KHOV mortgage is terrible. Not flexible at all. Make you feel like you have to use them. We were made to use their title company. Even though we called and asked to use our own.

My new neighbors are awesome, and I am VERY happy with the friendships that we are developing with everyone-awesome. Overall, my home and the community common areas are of high quality, for a production builder, despite the Clubhouse and Pool not being complete. My home buying experience with Bill (Sales), was very good, (A+), he is a good man. Service after the sale has NOT been stellar (C-),and could easily be with the right staff, doing what they say they will do, by improving their follow-up and communication with the new owners. Improvement is needed in this area.

Very disappointed in the overall process, I paid for an upgraded kitchen only to later find they would not supply a refrigerator. The concrete was not laid properly and is cracking like a spider web. The workmanship was poor, no oversight of sub-contractors, and responses from the builder were nonexistent or spotty at best. Never got the feeling they even cared about the client once they had your deposit. Do not close on your home if there are any issues outstanding...getting them resolved after you move in will be a miracle if they even respond. Their staff is overwhelmed and does not have the ability to manage issues or situations. So disappointed with the overall process and the workmanship of the contractors they hire. it was great everytime we had questions or needed help thet were there.

We have bought several new homes with several builders. This is our worst. 3 months in the house and cabinets still have holes in them. Shower stilll leaks. Gate needs repairs. House needs painting. Nails are popped out and walls need sanding and painted. Etc. B

What we thought was going to be our dream home, turned into a nightmare of horrors. In my opinion, KHOV is a low grade production builder that utilizes general labor instead of skilled tradesmen. Their end state product is extremely low quality. I would NOT recommend this builder.

Where do I start? Outside of taking my deposit and signing the purchase contract there has not been one step that went as promised or without a fight. The workmanship and attention to finish detail is ZERO. We moved in on April 27th, roughly 90 days ago and it has been a nightmare. Yesterday I came home in time to stop them from painting the house next door as they did not properly protect my home before painting. Last month while building the home next door, the laborers shot nails through my screen enclosure by accident. Still another example of no regard or respect for property and my guess is that KHOV feels that they have are money, we are committed so deliver whatever we feel like and the buyer has to close. I will never recommend a KHOV home again. I do know Peter Hovnanian personally from Cherry Hill NJ and I fully intend to someday reach out to him to let him know about my experience. As for the maintenance of the grounds and sprinkler systems and the clubhouse; that is a whole other story. Gym has no AC, grass is rarely cut or maintained, sprinkler systems not working, Cafe at the clubhouse was a sales gimmick and nothing more than that. The whole thing is a horrible experience. I will give positive credit to Michael Rassi who has been extremely helpful in getting post closing warranty issues resolved. Other than him, the entire KHOV team from top to bottom does NOTHING ... Sales should provide house blue print including Receptacles and possibility of adding wires for electric range and water heater. Homeowner should visit the site every week to check the progress and point out defects, since construction manager doe snot do his job! Too may homes are being built at once and not enough construction managers to cover quality control.

The 2 areas for comment are: 1) the quality of finish work was marginal. Sloppy painting and woodwork. 2) KHov has also been a less desirable partner for when they turnover operations to the HOA. Unkept promises to repair items like the HVAC, issues with the proper venting of the Cafe etc. Our project manager was responsive and did the best job he could but he had to rely on the sub contractors, which had to come back for multiple issues. They really need to focus on doing the job correctly the first time. It seems unskilled labor was used for finish work.
