Having talked to neighbors, everyone has had some issues with Khov. I have had so many reassurances that items would be fixed, and then one excuse after another. New superintendent is good, but is overwhelmed with the number of complaints and the lack of support from trades--particularly cabinets. Economic conditions may dictate the need to complete homes rapidly, but in doing so, homeowners are faced with following up to correct issues that shouldn't have occured had they been done correctly the first time

The home buying experience was easy, George kept informed via weekly updates. Dillion and Kurt (construction managers)were prompt in resolving minor issues. KHov has fallen flat post sale in terms of maintaining the common areas of the property and community communications. I have reached out to First Residential, the management company to no avail either. Foe example - the pier is covered with bird poop, discarded fishing line, hooks and fish guts. Minor purchases would make a huge difference to its safety, cleanliness and appearance….fishing line disposal tube and a hose. The gazebo seats at the far end of the property are covered with green mold….the response from First Residential is there no budget or maintenance crew. There are residents that are willing to maintain the dock. These small issues will start to accumulate and will impact the value and marketing of our community. ... More

George was incredibly helpful during the purchasing process of my condominium. He was always available to answer questions and responded immediately to any concerns. I loved that he continued to follow up with me even after the sale of the condo. He is an asset to KHOV!! Dylan the maintenance manager responds right away to any maintenance issues. He is incredibly courteous and prompt. He is never ever annoyed when I email or have him address a problem.

Shop around for better alternatives

My first experience was with Jennifer. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She made the ease of buying my home less stressful. Antoinette was with me if I had any issues or concerns with my new home and Shawn was exceptional too. All the K. Hovnanian team members are excellent. I love my new community. I also want to mention Barbara as well. So many team players.

Tim has the buyers interests in mind going through the entire buying process. After the purchase, Tim made himself assessable addressing all issues during the building process and that occurred after the purchase. Future home buyers will be in very good hands having Tim as their builder.

We had a fantastic buying experience! Dylan, the sales associate, gave us a thorough tour of the model condo and development. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and proactive with regards to the contract negotiations, options for the condo, and what to expect for closing. He was our go-to guy for getting information and answering our questions. The other Dylan, the project manager, was also extremely responsive and provided excellent customer service throughout the various walk-thrus, inspections, and issue resolution. We are very pleased with our K-Hov condo

Our sales person Dylan was great to work with and helped solve some issues during construction. We had an unlevel fire place from concrete floor not being level, sheetrock separating, faulty fire alarm, and metal siding buckled. So far KHOV has been responsive to our issues. KHOV needs to do a better job of overseeing the construction and use better quality of materials. It's a great neighborhood but quality of house doesn't match the price paid.

Builder should pay some attention to details. Some finish work was on the sloppy side. Electrical outlets and switches could be better placed. Somewhat disappointed!

Too many defects, flaws, and construction issues for a new build home. Quality of products is very good, especially, GE smart appliances. A builder can install high-quality materials but if they hire the lowest bidding subcontractors to do the work or hire inadequate construction management to oversee the build, problems occur. Love the Sandpiper Villa but it would be a more enjoyable experience if I could actually enjoy living in it instead of coordinating repairs. The interior paint looks like a 5-year-old did it. Warped doors. A/C installation issues. Customer Service is responsive. Sales seem to tell buyers whatever they want to hear to push the sale. Buyers need accurate information and accurate answers to questions in order to make an informed decision. Giving buyers inaccurate information, intentionally or unintentionally, is a breach of fiduciary responsibility. ... More

The condo is everything I thought it would be and I love it.

2.5 stars, proceed with caution… This is the 5th home that we have built and second KHov home. The process was filled with mis-communication from start to finish. The sales staff were the center of all of the issues. The multiple miscommunications cost us $30,000 in mistakes. On the actual day of our settlement, the house was filled with mud from top to bottom, and the rooms were covered in dust and dirt. We hired a cleaning company to clean the house before we moved in. Great purchase experience. George, our sales Rep., was great. Dylan, our construction manager, was outstanding.

I had a wonderful experience with the purchase of my home, they did a thorough walk through found a couple of minor issues that were immediately taken care of. I also appreciated the follow up visits to make sure everything was good! When I had a question and made a phone call I got an immediate response and really appreciated it!

I would never recommend this builder. Little to no oversite. Terrible customer service.

Process was very thorough and follow up once we were moved in was great. Only minor fixes were required and they were addressed immediately. Very pleasant experience with the entire team at KHov.

Felt builder way overpriced options at design center. $2,300 to have paver drive instead of cement drive - other builder I visited charged $900 additional. $3,000 to have tile in small closet versus standard carpet. After closing, we have been forgotten about - some blue tape items have still not been done & we closed 3 months ago. No handles on any of our cabinets, touch up paint on back wall never done, missing cabinet piece not installed, cracked cabinet still not replaced

We were presured to close with a house full of unfinished and poorly executed work like scratched windows/window frames, unacceptable kitchen cabinet doors (irregular, doors missing, some unpainted, etc), bad paint job throughout, damaged doors inside the house, and so much more, there are many items that were not even marked down on the punch list, because they said they were minor and would be taken care of immediately, and four month later they have not taken care of them or the punch list. Those items include spilled cement on the toilet, wrongly places towel holders, missing attic cover in the garage, scratched toilet door on master bathroom, bad paint job on front door (which they mentioned was dust, but it never came out when cleaning it), just to name a few. Sales consultant was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and customer-focused.

Cheap materials but worse of all the worse contractors we have had in our home buying experience. This was our 4th home and we have never seen anything this bad.

Not at all a good experience. It took 2years to build this house and it was done terribly. I had to fight everyday just to get part of what I paid for.

5 days after move in all plumbing backed up. Emergency numbers provided didnt provide service. When plumber came out the next day he snakes the lines and all lines had construction concrete and debris in them. Obviously the builder did not snake the lines prior to selling the home.

The home sales people exceeded my exceptions, they are very professional and knowledgeable, always ready to answer all my questions regarding the home buying process, he made the process of buying my house very easy and free from worries, the builder team, specially the manager had been always prompt and ready to help me to solve everything related to the house, they always respond in a timely manner to any issue that arises. I am very pleased with the quality and value of my house, K Hovnanian's Four Seasons homes exceeded my expectations, I will recommend future buyers to visit the area to appreciate the excellent service that this building company offers. ... Buyer Beware! Do not take their word they will correct something. Get it in writing. Do not trust the sales process.
