Project manger James was excellent. Very responsive and helpful at every phase. Trades such as painter and cleaning crew are less than desirable. Painter never cleaned walls or fixed dry wall prior to painting. This caused a lot of touch up and repaints to happen. Which lead to lots of paint splatter on every floor which was left for home owners to clean up. Doors and trim were never cleaned. Trim work is very sloppy - mismatched corners nail holes not filled.

Sales person should be more knowledgeable of product and details of options. Follow up was slow getting answers after we signed agreement. Overall very pleasant and open to help with our needs just seemed that she needed more knowledge about how options effect base build. Superintendent changes and transitions have made for a frustrating first month to get items addressed. I'm in the construction industry and recognize the challenge with the craft worker. You have a great community coming together but I believe the quality of product and communication is hurting your ability to fill community faster ... More

Overall had a good experience with the building process. Issues that needed to be address were taken care of quickly.

So glad I made the move. It was time for a fresh start so I figured I better buy a brand new home with all the amenities. I am very happy here. The staff is very friendly and reliable.

I was happy with the original sales people like Stacy and the way options were explained to me at the design center. My project manager was very helpful and communicated every week. He forwarned me of potential delays and moving in was delayed 2 months. I was disappointed in that but not in the house or fixing things that needed to be done before, and after I moved in. My PM was great at answering my questions, even ones I asked more than once.

It would help new home buyers to be able to talk to some of the other people that bought a similar house and ask if they were to build again what would they do differently. Working with Nick and Stacy made this easy. They were extremely helpful and responsive The experience went without a hitch except for small supply chain issues which are out of your control

The KHOV support staff was outstanding. Sales - Diana, Construction - Sean, Repairs - Alissa. All exceeded our expectations for professionalism, transparency, and customer service.

Our home cost over half million dollars and you would think you would have a new walk-in home with no issues. This is not the case with KHovnanian Homes. We were pushed back a week on settlement so builder could get all things complete. A week before closing did a walk through and was told all the items would be complete before closing. This proved wrong and now a month after closing we are told all the subs would be here to complete the punch list items. Some of the punch list items include the sod. They have replaced sod three times and still have gaps between pieces of sod and these gaps can be 4 to 6 inches. Very slopping workmanship. If you would come to this community and see what is happening throughout neighborhood. Floors have high spots and even a low spot near entry. Again, this is a sign of poor workmanship and lack of follow-up making sure it is installed properly. We had trim not installed and have waited a month for them to come and patch holes and paint. There are other issues but will not list only wait to see if corrected. One of the things that is most upsetting is having to push out settlement and closing. We had to reschedule delivery of PODS and reschedule moving people. Each was an additional cost to us. I know I told John (our construction guy) I would give a favorable review if everything was complete. Still waiting on everything to be complete and some of the items (Lawn) is still in need of repair. You would think for a half million-dollar home they would want a good-looking lawn to help with the sale of new homes. ... More

Our home was not complete on the day we closed. A couple of examples include the microwave was crushed and did not work. There was no glass installed for the shower, the toilet in the master bath was completely cracked and half the vanities in both bathrooms had rust stains on them that were not able to come out. The painting was atrocious every room everywhere needs to be repainted. the trim had huge gouges out of it. This house was not ready for closing since we moved in. It is constant repair and warranty work. This has not been a pleasant experience and has taken the joy out of purchasing our home. ... More

We had a wonderful experience with Bill, Fred, Nikki and Randy. Sincere communication from the start. Any glitches were fixed satisfactorily. My guests are impressed with the grandeur of my new home and the finishing touches that were included. We had security knowing we chose K.Hovnanian and the reputation of the company.

While I am very excited to be in my new home, I am very disappointed with the fact that the laundry room water connections were clogged with dirt. This required multiple appointments with the plumber which resulted in the wall being opened. I am still waiting for the drywall to be repaired and the washing machine to be replaced. It has been 5 weeks since I moved in.

The builder delivered exactly what they promised but the most wonderful thing they have going is the people they hired.

It was too much stress, KHOV is not a small company, I don't understand how they can keep changing closing dates not knowing that the buyer is coordinating their move with others. When I said I could close by end of month, after spending almost 700K on a house,, they threaten to charge me $500 only to cancel and move the closing date 2 more times! We are not totally dissatisfied, just not as thrilled with our purchase as we expected to be for the money spent.

I love the active community with many events. I love my new house, it's perfect for me.

I felt that the customer/buyer/end audience was not given deserved regard as the one spending the money. Simple items (responsiveness, honesty, consideration, graciousness, and apologies for mishaps) cost nothing but go along way toward greater satisfaction.

Despite the 6 month delay due to Covid (which of course was very challenging) there were definitely some highlights. There were a number of people trying to do their best. Most of the delay was out of their control. At the end of the day the house is beautiful and we’re very happy. Most of the walk thru items have been done.

Very disappointed that many items in our home were not completed before our settlement date. Mold remediation in our basement was needed within four days of moving in. We, and many other new homeowners in our community, believe KHov should have a crew to fix and/or complete items in our homes before or as they keep building new homes in our community. Our KHov home purchase could have been a better experience.

There is a lot to like about this house and unfortunately those things are overshadowed by some negative aspects of the buying and building process. Our closing was delayed 3 months and rather than delay any longer, we closed and moved in with multiple items unfinished and areas needing to be fixed. (Here's a sampling of problems: missing towel bars, crooked walls, damaged flooring, damaged kitchen cabinet door, backward closet door, damaged window screen, unrepaired holes in pantry & pantry shelf missing brackets.) Ours is not an isolated situation; others in the development report similar experiences. It's my understanding that these types of issues and delays are typical because builders (not just K. Hov) are unable to get reliable trades people and they run into problems with utility companies. However, the continuing delays and slow pace of repairs 6 weeks after moving in seems ridiculous and I have to wonder why they continue to start on new houses when previously built houses still need work. ... Builder having issues with third-party trades not honoring commitments resulting in over promising and under delivering.

I've always looked at khovs history of quality building. The initial sales experience was good, but all went down hill after construction started. Yes, Covid contributed, but even when things got better, there's no excuses for some of the shoddiness I experienced. Contracts are in their favor. Buyers spend an exorbitant amount of wasted money. Repairs or promises of finish and repair are made right up to Closing, but don't happen, even after Closing. Phone calls, emails, etc., never answered. The buying experience was not very good. Home took so long to build it cost us 25 thousand dollars in added costs (storage and apparent). When we asked for some relief we were given a nominal amount. The craftsmanship is under par for the amount we paid. The final “cleaning “ was a joke! The house was filthy. When we said something about it we were told they only do “construction cleaning what ever that is. When we said something about several items that were not done correctly we were told “we don’t fix cosmetic items”. The works are good the company policies leave a lot to be desired. Excepting poor craftsmanship is not the way to do things. Would we buy a KHOV home again..I doubt it. ... More
