Good experience from start to finish other than the delays because of PG&E. Once construction started everything was great. Great communication with sales rep. Received almost every weekly updates on the building progress.

Purchasing our new build home @ K.Hov has been an amazing experience. Wendy has been very attentive, kind, and informative. We honestly, stuck with K.Hov despite the COVID-19 delays, because of her. She is fantastic and very professional. We would highly recommend considering purchasing @ K.Hov. Upon our final walk-through and move-in, Tom and his crew were detail oriented and extremely helpful. I am a retired builder. Based on my years in the industry, the quality of some of the subs is poor. Construction housekeeping is poor at best so cleanup during construction and protection of existing finishes needs much improvement. Not enough time is allotted to punch list corrections before closing and, after closing, correcting punch list/warranty items has been very slow if non-existent

The sales team was great. Very responsive. Same goes for my construction manager. Had some issues with the design center in the beginning. The trades during the construction process are slobs. They through their food on the property, basically all of their trash. More effort needs to control it. One way is to fine them. Once you start effecting their money, the habits will change immediately. Closed on the house a month ago, and some trim and minor punch list items are still not fixed which is frustrating.

Every one was very personable. Attended to any issues in a timely fashion.

The lack of attention to detail and ensuring that the subcontractors did quality work leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. There were multiple delays with no explanation for most of them. I am considering selling my home and moving to put this behind me.

The picking of the designs for the home, the process was good but somethings were not explained and I assumed were included in the home, I wanted a larger patio and thought that I mentioned it but it was not done, I did not pay extra for it but would have and planned on it but I guess I never explained myself.

Overall it was a great experience. Our project manager would send us weekly E-mail’s with information about the building process for that week, and that continued throughout the build. Everyone was great. From the sales office to the design team. I am glad we went with K Hovnanian!

Kelsey and Mike where fabulous. Anytime I had a question about the building process or timelines they were readily available. They went above and beyond in including me in the entire process. Kelsey is a wonderful advocate for the homebuyer.

We we're extremely disappointed the home (after pushing our settlement date back) was not completely finished, nor was it clean. It's not a situation we wanted to be in, and though very disappointed in the readiness and cleanliness of our new home for our final walk-through on the morning of settlement, we could not push our settlement date back again. The impact on us would have been worse than the first delay. We do love our new home, but my husband has made many repairs already, to include installing towel and toilet paper holders and repairing the a bathroom door. The door would not close, so the quality team clearly didn't check it. The bathroom was never 100% completely finished, as it was apparent it was a rush job to get the walls finished and painted (no accessories) once the plumbing and electric was finished a couple days before settlement. The appraisal came in much lower than the sale price, so that increased our settlement charges, which is obviously very disappointing for us. We spent almost $750K on the home, so we expected to get that value in our home, but the quality is nowhere near that and the low appraisal is evidence. ... More

The entire experience was disappointing. The process is extremely disorganized. They should be ashamed of the quality for the price paid. They have no ability to schedule with any confidence and use "Covid" as an excuse for everything.

Attention to detail is lacking. Issues go unresolved. Everyone is nice but it seems like no one is on the same page. Frustrating to say the least. We love our home but didn’t expect quite so many issues from new construction (dead lawn, water damage to wood floor, missing basic items, poor workmanship, grout and paint on tile, crap lightbulbs, poorly installed electrical sockets, drywall and frame issues… to name a few. Bring your own inspectors throughout the process. Good luck.

I had a very good experience. I had my sister in the area and she helped keep an eye on things. I got weekly updates and if I had questions they were answered promptly.

Overall we have been happy with our purchase. The Sales person Adam was great. the mortgage folks were good, but the process is tedious due to all of the government requirements and regulations. Our home was built and delivered on time. We had a punch list of items to have corrected post closing and are still working thru some of those issues. Neighborhood, neighbors and amenities are great!

MMy salesperson Dylan was professional and helpful with everything from initial contract to closing. However after moving in I discovered. how bad the workmanship was. The painters oversprayed every window, the caulking seemed like it had been done by a first grader. Paint and caulking on virtually every floor. The cleaning crew was awful. Dylan the assistant construction supervisor is a gem. Spent hours trying to get everything cleaned up but there is still a lot to do. Now will have to depend on service to fix stuff

This house has so many issues I don’t know where to start. Shoddy construction, trash, glass and nails left in garage. Openings in house where frogs enter. Workers not showing up, some reek of pot — no wonder! Paint splatters all over, damaged cabinets, damaged faucets, two cars do not fit in garage, never told that when choosing house model. I have deep regrets and am profoundly disappointed.

Lisa N was outstanding and very supportive during our entire process. James was outstanding addressing all of our questions and explaining the entire process until we moved in and then was extremely helpful with issues we had with some of our appliances contractor. I would say because of the two of them they took a lot of stress off of our experience.

Sales person was always available to answer questions and was very helpful throghout the purchase process. All mortgage issues were addressed and assistance was provided when needed. All issues of delivery of residence were completed for closing of purchase. Would do it all again with K. Hovnanian company. A very positive expierience.

On our pre-settlement walk thru, we commented on the dirt left on the floors. Nothing was done. We had a list of issues that were supposed to be resolved before we moved in 6 days later but not a single one was addressed. Our front door looks like it was painted by a 5 year old and the floor in the master bath is covered in caulk. I still do not havee a working dishwasher one full month after settlement. I could go on........

I was a bit apprehensive at first, only because being single, and recently building a new home in another state! Kelsey and Mike ( and my wonderful Real Estate lady) made this very easy for me! I don’t know how I would have ever done this without them! They have become my friends! I highly recommend them!!!

Curtis helped us secure our desired lot and was responsive to our inquiry. Kristen helped us design the home of our dreams and assisted in the selection of the perfect combination of products - she was so easy to work with. Mike was the definition of a perfect Project Manager - he was responsiveness while we were building from a distance - always taking calls and sending much appreciated pictures. He helped us get the home to be our home in every way possible. Jessica in KHOV Mortgage was a godsend! From the very beginning she made herself available to answer every question about the financing process and was an absolute professional! She helped us navigate through the approval process and interest rate determination and was a therapist, too, calming our nerves all the while keeping us updated with the latest statuses. Marcia in the closing and settlement department is a top-notch asset to your organization. She knows her job thoroughly and was able to assist us at every turn making sure we settled on time! In summary, every customer touch-point in your organization was an absolute pleasure to deal with and we'd be pleased to provide a great recommendation for the purchase of a KHOV home - we certainly love ours! ... As closing got nearer and issues found after closing still not resolved and it’s been two months. Two major things I paid for were never installed and I am still fighting to get them. Hired my own inspector during build. He found a few major issues and KHov refused to fix. For price of home I feel quality is not there. Once you sign on dotted line they become very independent. Also despite what they say you have to use their lender or it’s a different contract with lots of restrictions. Happy with community but not with building experience

Sales process by Dylan has been extremely professional — attentive and transparent. Stephanie and Dylan at Homeowners Services take pride in solving issues — and they do. The opportunity for improvement is the sit down settlement. You should prepare a folder with labels separating and identifying each set of documents. We simply got a huge amount of documents that were not even stapled by category, and sorting it out by ourselves was not easy. It gives the impression you simply don’t care enough or you are saving money. Glad to talk about it.
