I'm happy to have made the commitment to build. However, and importantly, since I live out of state, communications were oftentimes slow; sometimes no response at all until I pressed for response. Made decision-making and timing of visits to the property problematic. So, some frustration throughout the process, even up to the time of closing. Also, importantly, was that several options in the Everett model (my chosen model) were not available to me, but there was no signage in the model nor was information offered to 'announce' that select options were no longer available. Eban was great all the way through. Electric fixed our problem. Premier has been helpful, John, Clint too. Pratik wouldn’t answer our emails or texts but he moved to a different job. Two important things had to wait until after settlement.

Watched every day the construction and the hard work and dedication of these workers even through terrible weather hats off to all of them,

Good Job. The staff was great. Quality is very good. There is no such thing as a perfect house. I'm very satisfied.

Sales Rep was only satisfactory; difficult at times. Would not ever buy again without my own realtor. However, Valet, Tom was extraordinarily helpful at pre-move in and post closing, VERY responsive, as was John, the project superintendent. Head landscaper was also extremely helpful with front yard landscape plantings.

When I signed the contract in January 2021 I was told the house would be ready in August, yet it didn't get completed until April 2022! While that is bad, all of the empty promises of closing dates along with the lack of weekly progress reports mad the entire process horrible. My recommendation is to hire someone whose only responsibility is to go to each house every week, take pictures and email the buyer with a progress report, allowing the construction managers to focus on building houses.

The materials used in the home are of quality. The workmanship is the same standard, I am well pleased with my move with KHOV.

Despite supply chain issues, the team got us an excellent home. The warranty department could use some help; slow to respond.

Stacy, James and Joslin were great. All three were very responsive. We had a few minor issues that were resolved for the most part. Things out of their control that should be considered in the future. 1. Service Door should be offered as an option especially for 55 and over. 2. The mechanical room should have been painted. Does not look good when you are showing the house to friends and open the mechanical door with dry wall tape and gashes in the wall. At a minimum it should be spray painted with at least one coat to cover up the tape.

Constant change of Constuction managers left out of town buyers on a lurch

After a 15 month struggle to get our KHov home built we finally moved in. It was hurry up and give us a deposit before the prices go up. We did that and watched as our land sat untouched for 6 mos. Everything thing was a struggle to getting materials to keeping construction managers(we had 5 during this process). Yet KHov kept selling homes. No transparency and a lot of we don’t know replies became frustrating in trying to manage any kind of schedule with a rental as we continued to get revised and pushed backed closing dates. We even met with the COO of KHov in hopes to get a clearer picture. That was a waste of time. No one communicated with us unless we initiated the call or email. The only bright spot was Carol our sales rep. who listened to us as we vented, never got upset with us and did what she could to help. Thank you Carol. ... More

Still waiting on things to be fixed. Screen door, paint. GC is responsive, but painters suck.

My wife and I had a great experience with Khov! Kelsey and Mike were very helpful and accommodating. We love our new house!

First and foremost, we love the area and the development. The workmanship that went into the building of our home is subpar at best. We spent another $4,500 to have the home painted prior to moving in; due to the poor paint job done by the builder. We are still removing paint from the floor from overspray and drips. Uneven wall fixtures and lights in the bathrooms. I am not even getting into the siding that I discussed with the builder numerous times. Only to be told, that's just the way it is (paraphrase). Overall very disappointed in the house and what we have to do to bring it up to par. These are not inexpensive homes but they sure are built that way. The builders non responsiveness makes it worse. Again, love the community and area. Having to do it again, I would broaden my search in the area. There have to be better more thoughtful builders in the area who respond to the homeowners request. Dawn the sales person and Pam, the selection specialist we’re great. The settlement experience was frustrating and disappointing.

Working with Eban and Clinton was a pleasure very professional. For Us the experience was great!

Things were done improperly!! So many mistakes on every item of our house. We can never get a straight answer as to who we call to fix an item. We are still waiting for floors to be fixed, dishwasher missing a piece, garage door opener missing, outside spigot missing, holes in wall board need to be fixed and repainted. Our GKD was a shock. The house was construction dirty, we received no booklets on our appliance, Nothing was included regarding clubhouse laws and rules. Sink and garbage disposal not hooked up. I could go on and on. It’s literally been a nightmare!! We are too old to have to go through everything that happened. K.Hovnanian needs to learn how to treat a customer from start to finish. They need to understand how to deliver a home to the buyer. Their GKD was anything BUT GOLD KEY!! Our experience was suppose to be a happy one. It’s only been one disaster after another!! ... More

A long and laborious process. Some very bright spots. Sales agent Ken superb. 2nd mortgage agent Jessica superb (1st agent was full of herself and not helpful - I went up the chain & said she had to be replaced - I was then given the courteous, responsive and helpful Jessica). KHov mortgage agent Aaron top notch, could not have been better. Problems elsewhere - construction supervisor not even mediocre. Whenever I or my agent requested a meeting he had an excuse not to meet. Finally met him on the "pre-closing orientation"!. I was underwhelmed. Condescending and full of himself. Apparently thought I had never owned a home before (I have owned at least 10). After closing experience has been poor, warranty work slow, daily life adversely affected by KHov not monitoring the action of subcontractors. They routinely park construction and employee vehicles on the road leading to our court causing delays in ingress and egress. I have seen subs stealing electricity from home owners. The subs are not monitored or supervised by KHov construction managers at all it seems. I am satisfied with the house, but beware of being kept informed of construction progress, having to deal with unsupervised and monitored contractor employees and poor follow up on warranty work. By the way, I am not being a disgruntled buyer - I like this location and community, I am a retired U.S. Navy judge advocate, 25 years of service to this country. But all of the issues noted above could be prevented with some on site KHov management and supervision. I have advised 2 and 3 star admirals on international law and all legal matters. I know how to manage subordinates. KHov has not shown me that ability. I would be more than happy to speak with upper management about the concerns mentioned. ... More

I absolutely love it here! Beautiful grounds, low maintenance, perfect villa for me and very responsive. Quality materials. Best of all...8 minutes from Disney and I can see the fireworks from my house.

Our experience for the most part was a very good experience. The sales person was fantastic! The project manager was very attentive, a great communicator and really seemed to care that things were done right. We have only one complaint and that was dealing with the design center on one specific item that we are still upset they would not comply with. The design center rep was very nice but absolutely would not allow us to have vinyl flooring in our greatroom/living room and back door. We were told its because they have to lay one piece without breaks and there is not a piece that will go from the front of the house to the back. Have flooring and not carpet by the back door was very important as we have a dog that we will let out that way and will get worn very fast. Then we moved into our home only to find out that there are several breaks in the vinyl from room to room. We are still very angry about this. ... More

Everything went well, and I was kept abreast of everything that was going on. I really appreciated that. The staff was excellent, any questions or issues that I had the staff took the time to answer and explain the process to me.

Homes are very well made

Many discrepancies found during pre-close walk still undone on closing day. Overall detail workmanship shows lack of attention to detail.

We had visited several other sites similar to ours within a 50-75 mile radios. We always returned back to K Hovnanian all within a four to six month period. We were able to walk through the model homes as often as needed for decision making; we were always treated as if it were our first time coming to the site. From the purchasing signature to the closing signature we were met with an above and beyond excellent customer service experience. We are comfortably happy that we settled in our new community at K Hovnanian and we have made recommendation to our friends who are in the market as well.
