Everything was great on the front end. Sales and design staff very responsive and helpful and continue to be even after we moved in. Wish I could say the same for construction staff. We still have many open items from closing punch list with no follow up. They are not very communicative with us or the trades who show up unscheduled without materials needed to fix any issues. While everyone has been very pleasant to work with, nothing is getting done.

Beautiful model but...

The model we chose suits our lifestyle; it is beautiful. However, many issues were not dealt with prior to closing. Could be the victims of not enough help; however, the quality control was surely missing in this home buying process/experience. For nearly $700K home pricepoint, I would have expected better quality from the trades. Even the windows are subpar. Even now almost 4 months later, the customer service follow up on this side alone is not good. I am still waiting on cabinet fixes and between the customer service center and vendor they cannot get orders right. No timely follow up ...

K Hov is a Great Choice for the Belle Terre Community. If you choose K Hov for Belle Terre - Be Cautious - For many reasons in this 2020 /2021 experience and not defending K Hov- Your Home experience may be less than you expect as K Hov is facing difficulties to deliver a Quality Product. My home purchase has become a disappointment with K Hov but one that I hope finishes well. TBD

Having researched KHovnanian we felt somewhat confident in our choice. We would give the financial aspect of our purchase an A. Everyone was helpful and responsive and made this an easy straightforward process. When we put in our offer to purchase we had an expectation that we would receive good communication and the layout provided in the model. Things to be aware of prior to settling and moving in...

Observations needed prior to settling: Don't let your guard down! Have an independent inspector or someone who knows construction go through the house with you to identify those things that need to be fixed prior to settlement. Once you have settled and moved in, it is very hard to get the repairs taken care of. Watch out for scratched sink basins and mirrors , rough cut lumber painted over, uneven window sills, imperfections on drywall painted over, broken tiles in floor of bathroom, unpainted surfaces on interior and exterior trim, concrete foundation cracks and breaks, exterior walls ...

Though I like my new home and believe I will enjoy living here, there has been many issues, mistakes and lack of proficiency in some of the workmanship. From flooring incorrectly installed to plumbing issues, experience has left me less than satisfied.

I have had many concerns on the workmanship of my new home especially when it comes to plumbing and framing issues as many of my walls appear to be crooked. I still don’t having water to my refrigerator after 30 days. Plumbers have not returned. Fixtures in bathroom shower and tub actually pulled away from the walls and had to be fixed. KHov more focused on new phase when 30+ home are still not completed (no grading, no lawns, no irrigation, no landscaping, and still missing items that are part of the home after 30 days). After $$ is paid, KHOV interest is noticeably much reduced. Very impersonal after moving in.

Poor quality home

The quality in this home is shoddy at best. We have lived here for 3 months and have had three leaks! The flashing was never put on parts of the house and garage. The shower head was installed incorrectly and not caulked sufficiently which caused a leak. The guest bathroom has a leak into the basement. The plumber is coming next week. For a brand new build it has a lot to be desired of wherever the builder could cut corners they did. It's the first time I had to put $30,000 our of mt own pocket to fix what the builder didn't do properly. One huge selling point was buyer owned solar by Sunnova unfortunately that company has announced it will not be able to go on as a going concern and will be filing bankruptcy. We were sold a 25 warranty on these solar panels we have no idea who will service them now. When you do your walk-through to see if their are any issues, take all the time you need to thoroughly, in great detail, to check out everything. Lost opportunity on a property. We were a buyer and ready to go to contract. Sales person didn't profit from this by not advising of all possible properties - build, ready-to-move-in homes. Homebuying process was OK. Quality of some material is ok, some not so great. Quality of workmanship is lacking in most all areas. Electrical work is suspect. Workmanship and Warranty After

Our purchase experience with KHOV was great. Since then, we've struggled with getting warranty work completed and completed with quality. The subcontractor work was not high quality. Interior painting was terrible, many spots just primed and not painted from ceiling to walls, bathrooms, etc. Warranty work after the fact with painting and patch work has been poor. Our air conditioner has been worked on three times for faulty parts including putting in 4-1/2 lbs of refrigerant. Warranty Department is Terrible

When I purchased my home I had an issue with the kitchen countertop and a couple of things that we paid for that they didn't install. A month after close they did replace the countertop, but on the install of the new one I pointed out some defects. They sent someone from the manufacturer out to look at the defects in the countertop and 3 months later we are still waiting to hear back. After moving in I noticed all my neighbors had garage door keypads on the outside of their house and I did not. I called the builder and he said I needed to get in touch with warranty.
