moderate response to indoor work not completed.Painting not completed in bathroom and other areas--Return visit etc.

Pushed me to close before the house was ready and still have not resolved issues.

During the buying and building process, we felt KHov lacked flexibility and did not seem to care about our individual concerns and desires. After closing, the customer service was excellent thanks to Alyssa in the Warranty Department and Mike, Project Manager. The trades also did a great job completing our punch list!

Khov is just okay. Nothing more, nothing less.

Having researched KHovnanian we felt somewhat confident in our choice. We would give the financial aspect of our purchase an A. Everyone was helpful and responsive and made this an easy straightforward process. When we put in our offer to purchase we had an expectation that we would receive good communication and the layout provided in the model. Just after our framing was completed we discovered our garage was 7 feet shorter then the model. No one including our sales agent told us this would not be included in the elevation we chose. Later we learned our sales agent was not aware of this. The floor plan shown with the elevation did not indicate the shortage. We felt this was very dishonest. My husband has experience in building and as we watched our framing he was very satisfied with the work. That part of the process would receive a B+. We were patient as we saw the exterior and interior take shape. However as our closing day grew closer we were very disappointed at the very poor quality of work, the dirt, and the poor quality of painting and attention to detail eg. crooked light fixtures, crooked handles, crooked electrical outlets and damaged drywall in several places. On closing day the house was not cleaned. We had told our builder our movers would arrive at 11am and he said he would have a cleaning crew early to be done before 11. The crew arrived at 10:45. They should have taken more time to do things correctly then rush just to complete the building. Couple more weeks or maybe even a month was probably needed. The workmanship is horrible on some items - they completed things so carelessly just to say it was done. Now as the homeowner I have to follow up, send emails, and follow up again to get everything corrected when it should have been done correctly from the beginning. Everything from painting not being completed, things not sanded prior to painting, cleaning paint from floors, crooked lights and walls, towel and toilet papers rods not hung properly, things not centered, doors that don't lock or lock and you can't open, two different sides on the balcony, and the list goes on. With all of these issues, how did it ever pass inspection? Surely someone should have noticed, isn't that their job? I can't be the only unit like this. Observations needed prior to settling: Don't let your guard down! Have an independent inspector or someone who knows construction go through the house with you to identify those things that need to be fixed prior to settlement. Once you have settled and moved in, it is very hard to get the repairs taken care of. Watch out for scratched sink basins and mirrors , rough cut lumber painted over, uneven window sills, imperfections on drywall painted over, broken tiles in floor of bathroom, unpainted surfaces on interior and exterior trim, concrete foundation cracks and breaks, exterior walls are 2"x 4"s not 2"x 6"s, garage floor rough finished, screens in exterior vents falling out, low water pressure in master bathroom, spray paint over spray on almost everything, Fireplace that does not work, ceiling wiring needs to be extended to safely hang electrical fixtures. Furnaces that are put in crooked and not aligned properly in drainage pan, Smashed drainage pans under CAC unit, Keep in mind these homes are built on concrete slabs not crawl spaces. Get a realistic closing date

We were new to new construction. There was no pricing or details about all the "extras" so we had no idea what the house would ultimately cost us. The selling agent was not well informed and did not communicate about many options that we later found were available (e.g. lighting!). A lot of pressure to make a decision immediately or the price would go up. We had to make large financial decisions without full information. Now that we are in the house we are finding issues with leaks and missing parts but the service department is unresponsive. We did not discover till we closed that we needed to take care of our outside trees and plants that we were not even allowed to select. The HOA is MIA. ... More

The walk through was terrible and follow up by Brent has been worse. We need an easier way to communicate with the higher ups in this organization. The sales process was great Anna was great but after that the level of service has dropped off since our previous purchase in this community. There have been other quality issues as well with electrical and low voltage. and now we have a lot drainage issue Brent refuses to address. I would like Steve to call me.

I have had many concerns on the workmanship of my new home especially when it comes to plumbing and framing issues as many of my walls appear to be crooked. I still don’t having water to my refrigerator after 30 days. Plumbers have not returned. Fixtures in bathroom shower and tub actually pulled away from the walls and had to be fixed. Quartz kitchen island was installed with marks. My driveway has a crack in it. My construction manager James tries to be responsive and is aware of my concerns working to correct. I truly wish I could have written a more glowing review. Perhaps when everything has been repaired and completed correctly. ... More

Take your time and ask questions about the final price. The process is broke into multiple phases and each phases comes with additional cost.

Painting was poorly done. Many missed spots and all over every window frame. Cannot after 6 tries get any window in house remotely clean

the blending of the different subs seemed awkward, in that one sub would undo or damage the work from a previous sub. I believe that is why there is such a large punch list, inluding general cleaning and paint drop removal

We have had too many major issues with a new home build. Items that were pointed out during the construction and were not addressed until AFTER we settled. 2 weeks of ripping out walls and drywall. Yeah. Not. FUN.

Poor quality. Can not set A/C colder that 74 degrees in the summer for fear of mold issues. Styrofoam used outside and is soft. Poor pain job inside and out. Great employees and they work hard to help. Just my opinion

It really wouldn’t have taken much for K Hov to at least MATCH the hardware in these new homes in Four Seasons. We have brushed stainless cabinet hardware, shiny chrome bathroom faucets, shiny and brushed next to each other in the bathrooms. Ugh. When noted on our issues with the home we were told “ the builder will not even address it” by the builder rep Our walls are so thin and lack insulation that we can hear the master bath toilet flush in our entryway!!!! Every finish is cheap and poorly done. Will never buy a home from this builder again.

My 9th home and an expensive one. The smallest high premium lot and one of the smallest homes. The construction manager was non-existent. I met him at the initial meeting and never saw or heard from him again until my final walkthrough....5 months! The only reason I gave him a decent review was he begged for it and Alyssa Tarsa asked me to do it. He has no empathy, no consideration, and blames any design or electrical or construction issue on someone else. He never completed a very small punch list, I did the work myself. The house we received was not equal to the houses we were shown and certainly not equal to the marketing materials and video. We are tremendously disappointed .

Over all happy but major problems exist. Noise in HVAC system keeping my wife awake at night. Been addressed but not fixed. Shower pan cracked multiple places yet we are told its not under warranty. We have only been here 3 months. Stove top not secured to counter.

Khov is not interested in customer satisfaction. I had to fight to get things right and still lost even though they were safety issues.

Amy was a Pro at sales. Well trained and experienced.

Beware....there is no interest in quality of the build and the interior....they just want to turn out as many homes as they can in a short time frame without regard to what the issues. Very disappointing

Fire Place not a functional fireplace-very low grade. Not worth the money. No warranty on plants that are dead in landscaping( every reputable landscaping company will give you at least a 1 year warranty) Hire a pre inspection company for pre-drywall and final inspection The contractors K Hov uses for finish work cut corners which you will see in the final product. ( they do not miter inside corners on trim molding) Do not believe furnace is sized to square footage of house (BTU's are minimal) Do your homework!
