Houses are being put up overnight. There is a lack of oversight. Our sheetrock was a mess! Paint on finished hardwood floors. Finish work on stairs substandard. NOTHING was sanded prior to paint and urethane, had a huge nail/screw, sticking out of the side of my stair riser. Painted right over it!! House was filthy when we walked in after closing! We entered our house after closing to find no heat, 2 leaky sinks, no hot water master shower, high end dishwasher broken for a month, guts in 3 toilets have been replaced, paint all over hardwood floors, dirty, grout, chipped tile in upgraded master shower, glass in master shower had to be removed so sheetrock could be redone, sheetrock behind powder room sink looked like a patchwork quilt. These issues, along with others, noted at walk through. Enough time to rectify, as closing was delayed 2 days. No, once u sign on the dotted line, all these issues become warranty issues. So much more difficult to remedy when furniture has been moved in. Promises were made, promises not kept. It has taken a month, and we are getting things done. Can use dishwasher, master shower still not right! I guess i’m upset because many times, I’ve been made to feel i’m too picky! Not a custom house! But, when u pay this kind of money, u at least expect a house with passable workmanship. No attention to detail. Pine straw covering construction debris, SC building code states, that if you cannot see IT from 6 ft away, ITS not an issue….. buyer beware. KHOV lives by this code. Interaction during all phases of purchase, construction, and delivery of home were very professional and first rate! Any questions or concerns that we raised were addressed immediately. We would definitely recommend K. Hovnanian’s homes to anyone interested in a quality built home.

The building process was not good. Poor, incompetent workers. Quality of work is very poor compared to the money spent The builder's team was GREAT. Response to all my concerns was answered.

Receiving weekly text updates from the sales specialist with pictures was very helpful especially for someone who was not local.

Dealing with nice people who were warm in their communications really helped while buying a new house in the middle of the pandemic along with the associated late materials which made for late closing. Elizabeth's regular text communications associated with progress of build was really good for morale. The niceness of people extended to the underwriters. I specially think of Michell putting her own personal cell phone number in an email which I had to use once after-hours when I was panicking thinking that I had to know the result of a communication. This kind of hand-holding really helped. After the close, the service center has really been great addressing issues. Bryce has made it a point to keep me informed personally by phone on the progress of issues being addressed and soliciting my feedback. My experience with KHOV has been disappointing on just about every level. They do have some amazing people working for them however they cant do anything to help resolve my numerous design and construction issues. The upgrades are not worth purchasing, I purchased them all, there cheap, antiquated and none functional. I've tried to meet with upper management about my long list of issues, nothing gets resolved. I would never recommend KHOV.

K Hov is a Great Choice for the Belle Terre Community. If you choose K Hov for Belle Terre - Be Cautious - For many reasons in this 2020 /2021 experience and not defending K Hov- Your Home experience may be less than you expect as K Hov is facing difficulties to deliver a Quality Product. My home purchase has become a disappointment with K Hov but one that I hope finishes well. TBD

My builder was always available even after the close. Very responsive and wanted to make things right. We are extremely satisfied with our new home.

We had a great experience buying our new dream home at K. Hovnanian's Four Seasons at Sun City West in Arizona. Everyone we came in contact with was professional, caring & committed to customer satisfaction. Products used were quality materials. Construction was completed in a timely manner. We very happy with the finished home.

Their first is of the highest quality. No company is perfect, but when they had an issue, their response was impressive. Great organization.

What is seen in the models and promised at the design center is not what will be received. Don't close until you are satisfied. We were promised all items on our issue list would be completed in a timely manner. From our list of 37 issues including but not limited to no shower door in master bath, paint dripped all over the floors, grout in bathrooms with 2 different colors, doors that will not lock, outlets that trip breakers when used, only one has been completed. They are trying to close homes before they are ready. Supply chains and labor issues have caused understandable delays, but changing finishes to lesser quality products and poor workmanship should not be tolerated from any builder.
