We love the model options offered for this 55+ community. The variety of floor plans can suit anyone's taste. Opportunities in the workmanship were repaired prior to us moving in but since we have been in the response has been very slow when issues have been reported. Care and attention must be addressed on the overall grounds in the development.

The walk through was terrible and follow up by Brent has been worse. We need an easier way to communicate with the higher ups in this organization. The sales process was great Anna was great but after that the level of service has dropped off since our previous purchase in this community. There have been other quality issues as well with electrical and low voltage. and now we have a lot drainage issue Brent refuses to address. I would like Steve to call me.

The buying experience with Shannon was outstanding. She was professional, knowledgeable and responsive to issues. The follow up after the final walkthrough was nonexistent. Just poor. I was told a replacement cabinet door was due in and someone would be out to install it the next day. A month later, still not done. Hole in garage wall, I had my handyman fix. Cracked driveway pad near street still not fixed. Makes it hard to recommend KHov to friends looking to buy here.

As with a new build, You must be "patient" and be educated on how a new build of your home transforms. This is a new norm unfortunately of delays both from materials and the labor workforce. The problem is with every builder in the industry. The end result was well worth the wait. Communication is the key to a positive outcome.

With a new home, there are different problems. When we have a problem, I call it in, and then the repair happens. Very nice to see they stand behind their workers.

We have built 2 new homes prior to this experience, this was the worst experience we've had. This builder is focused on their financials rather than the customer and building a quality home and a trusting relationship with the customer. Even with Covid-19 excuses, we had to close without the home being completed. Sales: There were items not disclosed that should have been. We ordered and paid for a 9 foot sliding glass door upgrade that was represented in a model with 2 moving door panels and 1 stationary panel. We received a 9 foot door with 1 moving panel that open 26 inches and 2 stationary panels. Structurally, we were informed the concrete slab cannot be broken up. However, during construction ours had to be broken up in 5 separate locations due to incorrect placements. Our salesman never followed up after structural design. Mortgage: continually requested the same information over and over even when it was already provided. Looking back we would never use this mortgage company again - most difficult we've experienced. Without our knowledge, KHOV Mortgage contacted their preferred real estate lawyers and insurance company as if we were not given a choice. Construction: We believe our builder was overwhelmed with 20 homes being built simultaneously in various stages of construction (this exceeds any accepted standard on span of control). This resulted in poor oversight by the builder and lower quality of construction. As of this writing we are 30+ days after closing with still incomplete construction (1 unusable shower, 2 unusable sinks). During our pre-drywall inspection, broken trusses were discovered, misplaced electrical outlets and misplaced drain pipes in the slab. Referring to the 9 foot 3 panel sliding glass door (above), we were informed by Bob Citrolo that a decision was made in 2019 to discontinue this option, yet the sales team as late as Oct 2020 were still selling this option as described above (2 moving panels, 1 stationary panel). Transparency and honesty do not seem to be qualities that KHOV instills in their culture. It is all about how many homes they can close each month to meet their financial projections. ... More

Great experience in coordination of mortgage insurance and closing. Value is good. Slow to resolve maintainence items indentified just after closing.

I have had many concerns on the workmanship of my new home especially when it comes to plumbing and framing issues as many of my walls appear to be crooked. I still don’t having water to my refrigerator after 30 days. Plumbers have not returned. Fixtures in bathroom shower and tub actually pulled away from the walls and had to be fixed. Quartz kitchen island was installed with marks. My driveway has a crack in it. My construction manager James tries to be responsive and is aware of my concerns working to correct. Construction Supervisor (Dennis) was great!

We love the community and had a great sales experience. Ask for Ken Gennett in the sales office. Unfortunately, we had a horrible project manager who failed to manage his subcontractors. On multiple occasions, we found the home unlocked and open to the elements after contractors were off site, even after walls, cabinets and appliances were installed. Our project manager did not communicate consistently and was unresponsive when we identified issues during construction. As a result, we had a multiple page punch list when we closed, and over one month later, we are still trying to get K. Hov to resolve the open items. The good news is the K. Hov. warranty person is great, but it is all a huge waste of everyone’s time. ... More

Great value for the money! From sales agent to roofer, everyone is intent on creating a quality home.

Overall the experience was good except for the design center. I didn't think the representative was properly trained, had sufficient experience or understood our needs as buyers. KHOV isn't a custom builder but we did hope for some flexibility in our options. We weren't give the chance to order and pay for additional cabinets and the choices we had to pick from were very limited. Even slight changes seemed to present a problem even though we knew what we wanted at the initial contract signing. I would like the decision makers to think outside of the box when the buyers are willing to pay extra for changes. Great reputation and they lived up to it, added a pool by American Pools and I suggest they dump them, they caused so much grief and because of their delays, cost me THOUSANDS of extra dollars in closing costs and interest rates

I am loving my new home! Through the building process, I had a stellar experience with the construction manager and the design center. All of the individuals (2 @ construction and 1@ design) took the time to listen to my questions, find the answers, and make sure I was satisfied with the quality and service I received. While each of those individuals earned 5 stars, I gave just 4 stars overall because of some issues with sales. Though everything was resolved, it was a bit stressful and didn't have to be that way. In addition, leadership should reconsider the current policy of supplying a black refrigerator to everyone--even to those purchasing the gourmet kitchen option. The builder was very pleasant to work with, but after being in the home for over a month now, there are some major items incomplete and many poor quality items (wood trim, painting, etc.) that you notice.

Nick, our construction manager, and Stacey, our sales consultant, have been best parts of this build/move. They both were exceptionally receptive to emails and phone calls and made it possible for us to manage this build from 1100 miles away. It would have been a completely different experience if it wasn't for them, We were disappointed, however, in the materials and workmanship, specifically the painting, done in the house. There were many areas that had poorly painted walls, 'bubbled' texture, and overall sloppiness. Nick corrected all of the issues we had, but he had to even correct their corrections. The entire process from the sales office to construction was great. I truly enjoyed working with our building supervisor/manager who called and provided updates on a weekly basis. Brent kept us updated throughout the entire process. We have purchased two other homes in different parts of the country and this build was by far the best. The entire K. Hovnanian team worked to make this construction build the most stress free we have completed. The community is great and we are enjoying the area. If you are thinking of purchasing a new home we strongly recommend K. Hovnanian.

The sales team is awesome! They are so easy to work with and great partners. They were there for me every step of the way through the building process and kept me up to date. I was disappointed during the final walk that there were so many outstanding punch items and getting them fixed after closing hasn't been easy.
