You have to make yourself a priority with the home warranty department and continually bother them to schedule appointments The contract was poorly written, and also contradicted itself when highlighted the conflicting terms nothing was done Quality of materials is quite disappointing for example, the flat walls, air conditioning unit vents and surprising how many problems at close where things were not working such as the garage door electrical lights, master bathroom, drain exterior drain and my names were highlighted in the punch list. Had to fly back a week later to do the walk through. We planned it for one date and they missed it. Had to buy another airline ticket to come back the following week. On my $$$.

I have been in the business for 45 years and some of the finishes are among the worst I have seen. The caulking and painting were and are horrrendous. Hovnanian needs to screen its subcontractors better. They have both on every possible surface in the home. I have no issues with the construction team as well as the sales team. They both were very responsive to our needs and requests. Overall I like how the home was built and the majority of the materials used but not how they were treated by the painting contractor on site. We were expecting a much more professional job, considering the cost paid for the home. I will do the repairs and fixes myself when it comes time for the yearly punch list. ... More

It was great there were a few things I didn’t know about Arizona laws . But it worked out in the end. You can’t move in until the home is registered in your name at the county. The get back to you to correct things in the home, after you move in are none existent, been here 5 mouths and still haven’t contacted us.

Some of the craftsmen ship is great, however I’ve found a lot of cut corners and poor quality. Price of the house and amenities is great, community is outstanding! I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to live here, just stay on top of your new house when it’s being built.

Love the home and community

The build process interactions with construction foreman and sales people were good and provided an idea of progress from design towards completion. The lot premium was a bit excessive considering the highway noise. Then we were not allowed to specify materials which would remediate it, without changing the appearance. The sales/ construction team dropped the ball on the number of gas taps and forced us to use their electric appliances which altered the back up generator requirements. The Media port installations used twice the amount of materials that were required and used miniscule wire gauge for the speakers, which limited the low frequency response of the speakers. The responsiveness of the construction crew to issues and questions was excellent. Explanation of construction progress and reviews were also excellent. Delivery was smooth. The builder had to correct/change a lot of poor workmanship areas. In my opinion our inspector and the builder had to hold below average craftsmen/construction workers to a higher standard. K Hov’s builder was an excellent communicator & checked on as well as corrected multiple flaws. This especially evident in the painting. Zach had to request a change in painters. Our sales person was also instrumental in this process as well (Rick). The follow up after closing, for utilities, HOA specifics, & general information about the community was poor. We were very pleased by the home buying experience with K. Hovnanian. Our consultant was very responsive and helpful throughout the process of securing the home. The loan team was top notch and communicated well as we made our way toward closing. The quality of the materials used to build the home was great but finishes were a bit rough. We spent a great deal of time cleaning paint off the floors, doors, trim, and hinges after moving in. In spite of this, we feel we received good value for the price paid and we would look at K. Hovnanian again if we were in the market for a new home.

Disappointing experience. Our builder Tim was great. Kept us informed and was a pleasure to work with. The final product has a lot to be desired. Horrific sheetrock work, cheap paint job, overspray, tape lines everywhere. There should be major concerns at K Hov with the quality of their homes. Wouldnt do it again. Service responsiveness has been good but there shouldnt be this many items that need to be fixed on a new home, Quality rating is a 2 out of 10. Sad.

Love my new home everyone involved were great. I have recommended this development to a lot of people. Conner, Richard & Jeff are an asset to 4 Seasons.

We were not very sure what to expect because the last time we bought a home was almost 23 years ago but Cheryl at the Khov office make the whole process palatable and exciting. The whole staffs we had encountered during the buying process were kind and very professional.

Our sales agent was excellent. She answered all of our critical questions in a highly responsive manner with the highest level of integrity. Only wish that items like the finishing of the interior of the garage and backyard landscaping design had builder available options to make the initial delivery more turnkey. Just my preference.

We had a great experience in picking out the model we wanted and its options. Our sales agent (Alyssa) was awesome. She made sure we knew everything we needed to know. Since our house wasn't a model, she made sure to show us on a regular basis the quick move-in house so we could get a great feel of what our house would look like.

Above average starts from a low bar around here, but generally, we're happy overall. The people are what makes this community so great. Building our home from scratch long distance was made as easy as possible, but was still a chore. The largest miss in the design experience was not being able to see all our choices together in a virtual environment. That color combination you liked may not look the same in real life. Quality of build is average plus. Several construction issues found by our inspector were corrected, but should never have been made in the first place (e.g., warped studs incorrectly remediated, electrical wiring mistakes) and some were contested by the builder and not remediated (e.g., roofing nail spacing). Some choices made by the builder were problematic (e.g., noisy, high sones bathroom exhaust fans, very thin coating of wall paint - masking tape on the wall peels out chunks when removed, no insulation over the garage). Love the community and home choices but workmanship is sub-par and responsiveness is the worst. Emails go unanswered and 50% of tradespeople don’t show up when scheduled and we often spend many days at home waiting for them to show. Private companies are the best with honoring appointments but KHov tradesmen are abysmal at keeping appointments. Warranty repair personnel do not get back to you often for days or weeks. We still havre about 5 items that have not been completely addressed since we closed in early July. Very disappointing. We expected better from KHov.

We have not yet reported any issues and have been very satisfied. However we have a couple of minor issues we need to discuss so we are hoping these will be handled quickly and efficiently.

It’s my first time to buy a brand new construction. My other houses were either custom made or older. My experience was made smooth and easy by the great staff service I received from the beginning of the sale to the final move. They were courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks KHOV staff!

Horrible mistake of buying this house. Horrible in every way. Can’t wait to sell and get out

Would be nice if the numerous light switches were labeled. Also surprised there isn’t a switch for kitchen lights when entering from garage. For Donegal models with a sun room- the floor outlet is centered in the room. With a sun room addition many of us place our couches farther toward the master bed door. This makes the floor outlet useless unless you want a tripping hazard, or fire hazard with an area rug. Put peep holes in the front doors.

We were very happy to find the 4 Season community and Rick was wonderful to work with. He’s professional and knowledgeable and addressed all our questions and concerns. Would highly recommend 4 Season and Rick.

Great company. I own 2 K Hov homes!

I thought they said they’d replace filter in 30 days and it hasn’t happened in my first 2 1/2 months. Also promised a replacement closure for the bent one on my screened in porch door. Missing a downspout piece to divert water from my house in the front. But overall , love my house!
