Cliff out site manager was a pleasure to deal with. His knowledge and diligence in building our home exceeding our expectations.

Tile work on floors and shower walls different size grout lines, tile not level. We were told it’s within KHov tolerance and they weren’t going to fix it. Exterior doors do not close tightly see daylight move when wind blows. Two cabinets had holes drilled in them foe under cabinet lighting in wrong place to correct they covered with stickers that fall off. Paid for extra paint color, places missed, drips, sloppy caulking. Slab had lots of low areas you can feel in the hardwood now. Have to adjust furniture legs to level to stop rocking. I could go on if you like. No one cares even to the regional level lets just get the house closed. ... More

Workmanship and quality of construction is a bit disappointing. Water pressure for the “marketed spa” experience with the additions spa option is disappointing…water pressure is so low.

I have never had a similar experience with a builder and I have owned 10+ homes with at least 4 of them new. I felt like the builder and their employees were doing me a favor by letting me buy one of their houses. Every question seemed like it was an inconvenience to have to answer. They were absolutely unaccommodating to our schedule on an item.

Warranty corrections are hit or miss with the vendors. We feel like there should be better control over the quality of the initial build. Some of the things that should be common sense weren’t accounted for. We love the neighborhood and the vibe.

Overall we are pleased with the purchase and delivery of our new house. We were kept informed of the build process and timeline. We were very pleased with the delivery timeline. It was important to us to have a close date that that was fairly firm. In our case the date communicated to us, months in advance was spot on. Warranty service was very responsive to issues. Any problems that were submitted on the portal were promptly addressed. We were contacted shortly after submitting a claim. An appropriate trade was scheduled and progress / resolution was tracked and communicated to us in a timely fashion. One area of the buying process that can be improved is the Low Voltage option. Having only one option was not a good experience. I do not believe it was competitive as it is a non-cancelable installation and monitoring service. There are other competitive and superior options that do not commit the purchaser to a 36 month agreement. The speaker installation did not come with any documentation despite repeated requests. The sales people hung in with us till we sold our home which we appreciate. We like the new house, but there are features I would change. For example each bathroom does not have its own GFCI, they are interlocked with one bathroom (which in SC is ok but not what we are used to and is a nuisance). Also we initially did not have a cover on our attic, which was corrected. Also the cabinet doors hit either walls or other cabinets so I had to apply bumpers. The light switches are not identified and we were told we just will need to get used to them with a suggestion to put labels on switches. We are not thrilled with the garage door which leaves some light coming through around the edges. Over all everything we pointed out was corrected (except for above which we just need to adjust to). Problem is several gold key walk thru items were missed which is turning into a lot of warranty type items. Having to put in so many warranty requests does not bode well for the quality of workmanship. Inconsistencies include light switches not following standard placement plan (several had to be moved to keep them consistent from room to room. Having plumber back 2 times for things that should have been validated prior to closing (e.g. mud room faucet needed to be straightened & main floor tub was clogged with building material). Metal Entry door from garage painted with latex paint and it peeled off. Shower grout replaced with caulking (this is not a long term feasible process), My expectations of a quality home were not exceeded given the $$$$$$. on the positive side. Sales process was very smooth & everyone was great to work with but final walk thru process & home delivery process needs some work. Not quite the gold key delivery they advertise.

If you really want to know how extremely disappointed I am with this company, then contact me in person. There is way too much to put in an email.

The process from the start was very smooth. Steve, the sales representative was very helpful throughout and answered all our questions through closing. The response from the Warranty Department has been excellent to date as well.

The process of purchase was good with a lot of different contacts and hands which worked together.

Both my husband and myself are well pleased with the recent purchase of our new home in Four Seasons Carolina Oaks. We both are enjoying our new home and all that the community has to offer.

Lost opportunity on a property. We were a buyer and ready to go to contract. Sales person didn't profit from this by not advising of all possible properties - build, ready-to-move-in homes. Discussion of these options left us "un-informed". Sales people should access their client and act accordingly. Know what your client wants, needs and can be worked with.

My home was built excellent. The craftmanship and quality of the work was great. As well as the professionalism of the sales department and inspectors.

We are totally enjoying the neighborhood and meeting new friends from all over the country. The staff at the sales office were very helpful and no pressure. The construction team was fantastic and easy to work with. They kept us informed on progress throughout the process and were very helpful whenever we were in town to check out the progress, answered questions and addressed our concerns. The amenities are fantastic.

Poor workmanship. The houses are built so fast, I’ve had many issues, the materials used seem cheap. Nothing special about the house. KHOV had been very responsive to fixing all the issues but during the building process not willing to change or add simple things.

Homebuying process was OK. Quality of some material is ok, some not so great. Quality of workmanship is lacking in most all areas. Electrical work is suspect. We have had 2 calls to fix electric issue with dishwasher/disposal problem and still not fixed. The outlet for the dining table light is so far off center from the table it is completely unusable. Just thrown up with no worry about the correct location - just stick it up and call it good. Paint and trim work third rate. Low bid blinds not made for the window length. I realize this is not a custom built house, but more care should be taken to get it right. Quality is not a term to be used for the product being provided. ... More

Overall, our experience was a positive one. Sales and design were very good. Communication during the actual construction phase was limited. There should be much more information shared without having to ask for it. Pictures and updates need to happen more often... especially for out of state customers. Prior to closing, I believe there should have been more attention paid to details, as per my discussion with Jason. That would save time (and money)for KHOV by sending contractors back out to address issues that should been checked earlier. This will also save aggravation for homeowners,which is the most important thing. With that being said, since we have moved in, Ben has been fantastic. Love the house, well built with somethings that need correction, but we'll get there.

My garage floor has terrible cracks all over. The cracks were there when I moved into my house. I am disappointed with the quality of the materials used in my home. When you pay over one half of a million for a new home I expected much more.

Had to fly back a week later to do the walk through. We planned it for one date and they missed it. Had to buy another airline ticket to come back the following week. On my $$$.

I thought they said they’d replace filter in 30 days and it hasn’t happened in my first 2 1/2 months. Also promised a replacement closure for the bent one on my screened in porch door. Missing a downspout piece to divert water from my house in the front. But overall , love my house!
