Responsiveness to issues is zero. They were supposed to have a 10 day walk through with me after packing into the house. They never did. I have called, gone to the sales office and reported issues in the new house and up till this moment nobody has gotten back to me. One of the issues I have is the toilet. It doesn't flush properly, nothing is occluded the passage. Probably an engineering error, I would guess. It's so frustrating that I just packed into a newly built house with just one toilet in a four bedroom house. This is really a bad experience. There were issues not accurate represented before or during the final walkthrough. Primarily, there is a significant termite infestation throughout the entire neighborhood. Another issue is the water meter was completely broken and is still not fixed. KBHome never even informed me of this issue, I learned this when the water utility company told me they can't setup an account until it's fixed. With that said, I am still happy with the home. You generally get what you pay for. Important too is that KBHome is significantly better than other production home builders in the area.

Sales person and building superintendent were great to work with.! The VA lending process was hard! Lending officer’s were helpful in straightening that out!! Thank you to all.

The Sales Team throughout the KB Network were amazing. When we landed on Mystic Vista as the community with our preferred home, we received exceptional service from the Sales Team (Heidi was amazing) and the lending team (Ioana & Roxanna were fantastic), but once we signed and took the keys, we had problem after problem. Starting with a laundry list of poor finish work and culminating with multiple vendor issues and communication difficulties with the post-sale team. Not to mention, KB pushed us to download their app, but 45 days after taking the keys, the app still says we haven't closed on escrow or gotten the keys or moved in. The whole post-sale process has felt very much like we've moved from valued customer to just a homesite number. If you are willing to stay on top of their team and diligently tackle the multitude of repairs or problems that will come along with the purchase, then this could be the right neighborhood builder for you. ... Buying a new-build home was more frustrating than expected due to poor workmanship, in-perfection painting, and rushed finishes. While the warranty service has been great and responsive, it’s frustrating that so many repairs were needed in the first place. The unfinished landscaping and ongoing construction noise have also been disappointing. If you’re considering a new build, research the builder thoroughly and be prepared for potential quality issues.

Made me pay my upgrades before house closing at design studio after I was already locked into a contract with an earnest deposit. I think kb could’ve done a better job at making that clear ahead of signing contract. Typically including on my prior kb purchase if your purchase amount is higher than your prequal you come in with the difference at closing not before closing on your home. Also, Has a lot of issues with minor things that were not addressed promptly and still waiting on certain things to be addressed in the home.

Having asthma and allergies to pollen I had in my Sales Contract not to plant any trees or shrubs that produce pollen. Construction supervisor has continually promised o supply me with the plants he had landscaper plant in my front yard months ago. I have continually requested this info to no avail. He keeps saying he’ll request it and forward to me. I need the info to verify they don’t produce pollen, and also to care and maintain the plants. He never follows up on my numerous requests and I’m really frustrated with his non-responsiveness.

KB homes are budget value homes. The homes are plain looking and built with for most part good quality materials. Their base prices offer minimal upgrades. If you are a first time home buyer or on a strict budget then KB homes will fit your needs. Unfortunately, the obvious poor workmanship stood out immediately when we were watching our home’s building progress from start to finish. The poor workmanship was mostly carelessness of the workers and the way they treated their job site. The building plans themselves were in question as well. Here is some examples: The bathtub in the second bathroom was treated as a trash can during construction. The back yard was treated as a trash can for workers water bottles, cigarette butts and other trash. The painting has massive air bubbles and the touch up that was never ending. Every door in the house has damaged bottoms from when the workers or worker slammed them down in the garage. The drywall was installed before the roof was completed which caused damage to the drywall after it rained and snowed on and in the house. All the damaged drywall was replaced. The garage floor and back patio was permanently damaged from flooring installation glue. The flooring quarter round was installed with the wrong color. The baseboards were installing wrong the first time. We waited a month for our ceiling fans to get installed and fixed. We are still waiting for our flooring to get corrected. Our cabinets were a disaster. Doors were warped, knobs installed crooked and one knob still missing and touch up needed in several areas. These are some examples not everything. I understand all new home builds will need touch up and fixes but a lot of these issues were caused by workers not caring about their workmanship and improper builder supervision. KB has shown their concern over these matters and has made every effort to correct these issues and are still being corrected. They should offer two tone paint and semigloss throughout the house. One thing I learned is that when you purchase upgrades, what you think you are getting , is not what you expected. I am pretty good at questioning, but in this case I didn’t know what to ask, or that I had to ask. I feel like the design center should be fully upfront and offering to explain what exactly you are spending your hard earned money on. They are all friendly enough and pleasant, but in hindsight I wish they would have been more willing to offer info- some things I am disappointed in after paying so much extra.

I have not receive any update on 30 day visit. I have a broken window that has not been fixed. The tree upfront does not have poles to hold it up, when everyone else has it. I have asked for information about HOA and nothing has come back.

House came out decent. A lot of things where rushed. Dry wall was rushed, painting was rushed and even the cabinet install was rushed. Now these are all Issues that are being addressed with warranty. I just don’t understand how things were so rushed yet the house took a full year to build. Before the pandemic houses would take 5-6months. That and a lot of the workers used were under the table paid and illegal. Specially The painters. And the kitchen island wall has waves in it and not straight because it was rushed as well. Some of the vents for AC are crooked as well because it was rushed. I won’t get answers and I’m already in the house and things are getting fixed. But with all the delays and extra time they had to do the house these things should not have been rushed. That and I also had broken roofing tiles. ... More

KB worked hard to deliver a quality house within reasonable timeframe but supply chain issues and labor has certainly impacted them. Upgrades were reasonable although I’m disappointed in cabinets. After sale response is good.

The builder helped us allot

Issue have still yet to be resolved even after did the last survey. You would think they would jump right it after my last survey. There is really no sense of urgency to resolve my concerns.

Good for equity building.

Had to do 3 walk throughs. When something needed to be fixed, it created other new issues. The person doing the walk through tried to get me to just nod, say yes, and sign off on the house. He got very annoyed when I refused. When other issues arose I dealt with Mark. He was fantastic in getting my concerns taken care of in a timely manner.

While some items weren't immediately noticeable, we have quite a few issues with floor levels, improper installation of fixtures, chunks missing from door frames, loud air conditioner that vibrates bedroom wall despite adding additional insulation, landscape died before move-in, etc. We were supposed to be contacted for a 10 day and 30 day after inspection and never were. We had issues that were basically going to be ignored if we didn't push and are still awaiting fixes.

I am not really pleased with the response of the warranty issues that we’ve had with the house

I understand this is a business but I feel as if things were rushed in order for everyone to get paid.

Home was overpriced! A lot of broken promises!

All I can say is, have your builder fix everything before closing, after closing the trades are slow to respond. Holding up closing is the only way to hold the builder accountable for the repairs. After closing you are a low priority, they want the other houses to be built as fast as possible.

Nothing to say about anything

Issues that were address at the beginning have not been fixed. I get told dates and still no one comes out. Would be nice to at least get an update.

Trisha and Ed were amazing to work with. After we moved in is when we noticed craftsmanship issues and just the overall quality of work is not what I would say meets standards. We started to get issues fixed then that halted and we haven't heard back from anyone. The person who did our walk through said since it's after 30 days he can no longer help us and we needed to continue the process with Brandi, who has yet to return our call. Needless to say the sales office is amazing but the rest has fallen short.

Waiting on meeting and then we'll see
