There was never a time we could not communicate or hear what we had to say. Uncontrollable issues were updated continuously. Options were on the table as necessary to keep us updated.

Value of the home was great.

The more I looked around the inside of my home their were a lot of areas that needed touch up or the correct sheen of paint.

Everything from the sales office with kurt to the house build with chris was smooth and easy.

Response to issues by KB is good but response by the subcontractor is not very reliable.

Overall I have been pleased but there were a few things I can also take part responsibility for by not asking more questions. First item I was surprised by was the standard 2X4 stud walls. I assumed and did not realize this wasn't a state/county/city requirement to have 2X6 walls where concern for high energy use during our hot AZ summers would be paramount. I understand the concept of the airtight home to keep energy costs down but the added R factor of the 2X6 wall seems like a must have. Second, a water softener loop should be standard in an Arizona home. The highly chlorinated and harsh city water systems in AZ require softeners. As a result I incurred notable extra expense to add later and have unsightly drain tubes on my garage walls along with a spigot in the back yard that now gets softened water that could have been avoided with a loop. The cost of materials and labor to put in a copper loop and run a plastic tube in the walls can't be enough to require making this an upgraded option. Lastly I wish it would have been made clear to me that my house wall would be the neighbors fence. I incurred notable extra expense running drip system around front of the house since I would not be able to perform maintenance on them since they'd be running through the neighbors yard and at some point in the future when painting, roofing and or general repair is required on east side of home I will have to invade the neighbors yard and get their permission to do so. There is ample space to put a wall in place and for the neighbor to still have a yard bigger than the one I have and then give me access to maintain the east side of the property without disturbing them. Subdivision felt rushed and lacked attention to details

The home itself is beautiful and the contractor staff was very helpful throughout the process.

House came out great every body involved was great , only thing that could have been better is that the walls between the house’s should Have been painted.

This is our first home, so we were initially nervous about where to look as we were looking for a new build. We were so lucky that our realtor introduced us to KB and this area (KB Liberty, Phoenix). I really like KB's lot size and their design utilization. From beginning to end, they made sure we understood each step, from salesperson to construction manager - they gave us weekly updates on the progress. They gave the house within the time frame, in fact, a little bit early, I would say. I feel like a few materials could be better, although they are basic. Overall is good. very smooth. Found some tiny defects, and repaired very quick after reach out warranty. just need pay attention that some SPEC home is 8ft but not 9 ft.

Took a few month more to complete the home, but over all it's done and I'm enjoying it.

Overall the experience was good. Took longer than we would have liked, but it's understandable given the world situation right now. Communication with the super, Ken, and sales agent, Jon, were great. Some workmanship is a little lackluster. The are obvious used of the wrong paint type visible in areas (semigloss instead of eggshell), installation of clearly broken cabinets and backsplash left as "good enough", the complete wrong bathroom courteous 6 installed, wrong sized mirrors (we still don't have any a month and a half later), and very crooked hanging of fixtures. We've been ensured the majority of our issues will be fixed, but it seems to be on a back burner for everyone but the super who seems frustrated he can't get people to fix our issues. We've had a replacement cabinet sitting in a box in one of our extra rooms for a month. ... More

Overall, my experience was fine. I do feel like during the construction part, corners we’re cut. This caused issues after move in and I am currently in the process of getting those issues fixed. I understand that these builds are typically “cookie cutter” and fast. But I wish they would have payed a little more attention to detail.

Overall a good experience with KB Homes

I signed my paperwork on 7/4/2019. From there on both my sales and construction team were attentive and responsive to all of my voiced concerns and update requests. Throughout the process we hit some bumps in the road, but for the most part they were made up and continued on with no further issues.

We have been in our new home a couple months are enjoying it. This is my 3rd new build so I don’t know if I’m just picky but lots of paint overspray on the tile floors I’m finding throughout the home and messiness in lines of grout and paint on doors, I’ve asked for extra paint stock at least half dozen times and still have yet to get it. I went in with a huge amount of upgrades on cabinets, Quartz countertops and other major items but just went with the standard plumbing in kitchen and bathrooms and installed them ourselves due to the overpricing by the design center. Structurally I am happy with the home, but the cleaning and some labor functions I would say need to be perfected since we spend a lot of money on these homes and I expect precision in the completion of the home . All in all, I would recommend KB Homes but would be very observant when doing your final walk through. ... More

We are new to AZ and kbhome, we love our new home and town.

I have had a great experience so far.

Home had two issues that should have been identified and addressed during quality checks. Very disappointing. Issues have since been addressed but it took quite some time. Water was not turned back on to dishwasher after installation causing motor damage and changing a lightbulb led to power outage in two rooms, one of which a bathroom and the other a home office. Electrical company used by KB is not reputable, professional or timely.

im enjoying the new home, hope it will with stand the test of time. during the build i feel like i had to be the one to catch issue that come up along the way. two key points being that an extra window was installed that my wife noticed,and we got that fixed at framing but, the other issue i noticed was after the stucco was done. a second window was 3 feet off 3 feet come on. the super on the job at the time gave me the option to leave it or move it. well we had to move or it would have taking away from the great room. after the window was moved the inside drywall patch came out fine but, the out side stucco patch was horrible didn't match the rest of the house and was bulge out. from what i have heard that this was the second tome that it was redone and it need to be redone again. the third time to over look the patch now on the final walk though and with the sale of my other house going through i feel that i had no choice but except how it looked. i will say that it looked better that the second pass but, the bulge is still there. visit your new build weekly take notes and measurements and come pair them to your lay out. ... From experience, the quality of some materials for this home are not on the same level as used to build my previous home. For example, the toilet seats are cheap plastic not quality materials, shower door assembly in master bedroom, walls leave scuff marks rather quickly, cracks in shower floor. Entry door from outside was improperly installed. The doors are not solid wood, but hollow pressed wood and not as secure. However, all issues were corrected when reported to KB representative, thus far.

Very nice community and great location. We have a nice floor plan and very happy with our new house.
