We began the new build process in May of 2022. In order to purchase the home we had to sell the existing home as we were told they only wanted owner occupancy which was not true. It took over 14 months for the completion. They gave us the closing date but the home was not ready and it delayed us an additional 2 weeks. After move in, we found things that needed to be addressed; however nothing has been done and we are still waiting.

Contractors are delivering poor time management and skill

KB has delivered greatly but the contractors they use seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel

A less than great rating on quality and trustworthiness. I do commend the sales associate, construction supervisors for addressing all concerns immediately upon communication to them. Not complimentary of the subcontractor's used to build the home. Several major items missed that should have been completed upon build up of the home.

A whole lot hasn’t been done and haven’t gotten a response, house wasn’t finished when I moved in and every time I ask when something will be done I don’t get a definitive answer.

Sales did not mention the home was being built in a flood zone. Although it would be changed months later it was an issue at closing. KB does minimum standards ex: your block wall will look unfinished as a row will not be finished. Talk about looking goofy. They don’t put down weed control so your yard will have weeds pop up shortly after you move in. Contract work goes without inspection being down. There is trash laying around perimeter where contractors finished a project but cleanup has not been completed. Warped studs used in construction of house. Everyone here is friendly and pleasant.. Terry has been responsive, and has tried to help. However some issues are still unresolved. Eric told me to wait 10 months and everything would get taken care of then. Joe came over and looked at te things that needed addressed and gave me an appointment over a month away.

KB uses the cheapest sub contractors possible and it clearly shows in their workmanship. KB employees will try their best to make best of a situation but the work actually being completed during construction is horrendous.

The beginning process was very good. They answered all my questions and kept me Posted along the way. However, I decided to go with KB’s finance department and it was the worse experience ever. Just one month before closing, they decided to not approve me after all and the agent who was handling my loan lied about the reasons why all of a sudden didn’t qualify. Walls are not straight water got under my home my bathroom is jacked up cracks in my ceiling something about the drywall you can here people using the bathroom you just have no privacy in the home the room on north side is just nuts when someone uses the microwave or bathroom I have real questions with the quality of the material I can get a nail and push it into the drywall no hammer needed my windows have damage and nobody seems to give a

All talk and nothing done

We did our first walk through and we found some things ( scratch tub, wire sticking out of stucco, roof tile missing nails, dead plants and some texture and painting issues). Also the superintendent showed up 30 min late. He said that he would add trim in the garage for being late. A week later was our closing date and it rain 2 days during that week. The process was exhausting. Although everyone had excellent personalities and reached out, there was a comedy (and by comedy I mean incredibly Frustrating & unprofessional) of errors that gave us anxiety, stress & ended up costing us money due to delay. Although the home is beautiful now that it's complete, I would find it difficult to provide a recommendation in the future.

Poor quality and slow to fix

KB is quick to force you into the new home before it's ready, then takes forever to resolve issues under warranty. We wait weeks for resolution, as things get pushed back or no one shows up for scheduled repair visits. Extremely dissatisfied with KB currently.

The loan process was a joke! The loan person, Tammy, came up with a loan she wanted for me which was not the loan I requested so now I have to live with an incorrect loan until I can refinance (at my expense) so I can lower my monthly payment so I can hopefully afford the loan I was expecting! I never received a thorough walkthrough or final walk through. The construction manager failed on that end. Lack of follow through on repairs

Purchased a home for cash two months ago. Was assured several times that need repairs would be would completed. Had walk through with Thomas and his assistant. Both are very competent and respectful individuals. The problem seems to be management has understaffed the construction/repair unit. Defective master bath mirror, stains in master tub, gray paint on white kitchen kickplate, shoddy cracked patched where wire removed from wall, gash in kitchen island. Sorely disappointed in lack of follow through and broken promises.

Horrible experience. Where is the info regarding the media panel? Where is my mailbox? Why are my gate fobs not working? Where are the paint cans you told me I’d have? Why are your employees not responding? You guys need to learn how to provide a full packet at settlement. Instead of spreading out information in sixteen different places. Your customers legit hate you. Get on the Liberty Facebook page and see how angry your buyers are. Never giving you my business again.

This was not the experience I was expecting when purchasing a new home built from the ground up. Too many issues. Not enough communication. Too many issues after communication. No one seemed to be on the same page. Sales or construction supervisors. Had multiple supervisors the right hand never seem to know what the left was doing.

The house was not ready by closing and my great room and flex room electric outlets were not working. It took them almost a month to fix my front door frame and paint it. In the master bedroom the floor is making a sound because the plywood was not tightened before carpet was installed. Everything about my first home buying experience went wrong

Would love to say my new home was everything I hoped it would be but unfortunately that is not the case. Things that were taped during our final walkthrough were never repaired, tons of cracks in the grout along walls and doors which has led to chunks of grout coming out during sweeping and mopping, closet doors were damaged upon move in in every room, "privacy" upgraded insulation offers less "sound dampening" than the regular insulation in our last house, no peephole in front door, sliding screen door lock does not work, door knobs were installed incorrectly, door to garage does not latch, ...
