The crew over at KB Homes was amazing in getting me the house of my dreams right within budget. Will definitely go through them again!

Overall I have been pleased but there were a few things I can also take part responsibility for by not asking more questions. First item I was surprised by was the standard 2X4 stud walls. I assumed and did not realize this wasn't a state/county/city requirement to have 2X6 walls where concern for high energy use during our hot AZ summers would be paramount. I understand the concept of the airtight home to keep energy costs down but the added R factor of the 2X6 wall seems like a must have. Second, a water softener loop should be standard in an Arizona home. The highly chlorinated and harsh city water systems in AZ require softeners. As a result I incurred notable extra expense to add later and have unsightly drain tubes on my garage walls along with a spigot in the back yard that now gets softened water that could have been avoided with a loop. The cost of materials and labor to put in a copper loop and run a plastic tube in the walls can't be enough to require making this an upgraded option. Lastly I wish it would have been made clear to me that my house wall would be the neighbors fence. I incurred notable extra expense running drip system around front of the house since I would not be able to perform maintenance on them since they'd be running through the neighbors yard and at some point in the future when painting, roofing and or general repair is required on east side of home I will have to invade the neighbors yard and get their permission to do so. There is ample space to put a wall in place and for the neighbor to still have a yard bigger than the one I have and then give me access to maintain the east side of the property without disturbing them. All the staff has very responsive to any questions we have had.

We did our first walk through and we found some things ( scratch tub, wire sticking out of stucco, roof tile missing nails, dead plants and some texture and painting issues). Also the superintendent showed up 30 min late. He said that he would add trim in the garage for being late. A week later was our closing date and it rain 2 days during that week. We had another walk through and the only thin was fixed was the paint and texture issues. He said the they can fix the issues while we are living their. I did not want to slow anything down so I said okay. It took them 2 weeks after I said something again to fix the issues the only thing they did was fixed the tub. Now almost 2 months later the super called me and ask how everything is doing. I told he that our plants still need to be replaced, fix the roof, stucco, 2 doors need fixed ( 1 does not latch and the other does not closed), we saw a hole in the bottom of the cabinet in the bathroom, and I put a new faucet in the kitchen and it looks like it had some water damage on the bottom shelf of the cabinet. Delivered on time, the price was right, Sales & Construction crew followed through with what they said they were going to do, clean house to move into with no issues. Great experience! I would highly recommend...

We love our new home. KB Homes and the building team did a great job for us. Jacquie and Chris bring value to the whole process!

We have been in our new house for almost a month and kb really goes above and beyond to make sure the house is perfect

In general, it is a good builder.

KB took shortcuts while building the home, including placement of electrical outlets and number of switches operating the lights. KB repeatedly stated they would fix a mistake, but did not. KB charged lot premiums with no reasonable explanations. KB did not explain all features of the home and property, resulting in purchasing options that were not necessary. Home features are on the low end.

Everyone here is friendly and pleasant.. Terry has been responsive, and has tried to help. However some issues are still unresolved. Eric told me to wait 10 months and everything would get taken care of then. Joe came over and looked at te things that needed addressed and gave me an appointment over a month away.

My New House was made a mess of by negligent contractors who sprayed my garage side of the house with cement on my dark brown paint. They covered my side garage door with cement which has all been reported at 30 days. Nothing has been done. So now KB is negligent for not getting it fixed. Tarps were not used and it is a mess.

This build was a true joy and now we love our home

The whole home buying experience with KB Homes was wonderful. I didn't feel any pressure during my home selection process. The sales representative was welcoming and informed as to what KB Homes had to offer in their homes. I didn't feel any pressure in making a selection. The whole loan process went smooth and easy. My loan officer was prompt to respond to the questions I had. Our construction supt. was wonderful to work with, he always kept me updated on every phase of our home construction. My visit to the Design Center was great. Design Center representative presented many options for upgrades available for our new home. I felt the final choices we made fit our needs. Upgrades were good quality and pricing appropriate for any budget. At close of escrow, the whole KB Home buying experience was awesome. My interaction with the head sales person for the community was good. He was responsive and very courteous.

Best experience I’ve ever had

We're still familiarizing ourselves with everything in our home. We only have an issue with towel bars and grab bars in the shower. Very cheaply made and grab bars are tarnished already. Originally we didn't want them installed so we could purchase our own. They insisted on installing them. When we have nice Moen faucets with a lifetime guarantee on the finish, why cheap out on the accessories. That said, it's somewhat of a minor thing and we are very happy with our home.

This particular home was not built painted or constructed in the quality and which KB promotes.

Two weeks after we moved in we had a baby shower for nearly 100 people, every person remarked just how well built and what a beautiful home we had, we agreed wholeheartedly.
