I hoped that for the price we paid for our home that we would be treated like valued customers, unfortunately, that has not been the experience at any point during the sale, build, or post-build process. We have been on our own, have received very little communication and our issues have been passed off from one person to another. Very disappointed in KB Homes. Our pre-close walk-through was a joke and we were told everything would be taken care of through warranty. Post-close we failed to receive our 10-day inspection, finally received a call for our 30 day inspection and it took over a month to get crews in for touch-ups and corrections, still not fixed. I have owned the home now for over a month and still have not moved in due to horrible workmanship. I will be making my second mortgage payment on a house that has carpet peeling up. Paint that is two different sheens on the same wall, damaged tile, broken baseboards. The superintendent disregards all customer concerns and just shrugs his shoulders and says”It’s just the subs…” I would never buy another KB home and can’t begin to explain the frustration and disappointment.

No mitered corners on baseboards. Wallboard doesn’t meet baseboard in the garage. 1” gap all around. Third island counter replaced.

The house I purchased was not new but broken, ruined, damaged.... I overpaid for this home based on the quality and workmanship. I have been requesting repairs for months. These repairs should have been made prior to me purchasing this home. I will never buy a KB home again. I asked for you to take your home back but you refuse to do that. I do not want a KB Home. My opinion is just getting worse not better with each person or issue.

KB charged me an $800 capricious fee for delay of escrow. The delay was because KB ignored and then flatly refused to provide information to my outside lender. Beware! If you intend to use an outside lender you will probably run into problems.

This particular home was not built painted or constructed in the quality and which KB promotes.

I did not have a good 9 months experience with the house. A lot of delays, people not keeping their word and worst off I couldn’t live in my house due to plumbing issue. No one addresses my concern until 3 days after we called the emergency service line 5 times and worse part kb told me they would do my backyard landscape to make up the damages. Also kb does not take ownership of their mistakes and brush it off like they don’t care about the home buyer

Please, save yourself the massive headache and avoid KB Home and KB Mortage at all costs. My first time buying a home and I regret it! From the start there has been nothing but problems, from lost earnest check to failed promises this entire experience was a joke. When dealing with anyone that is “ a supervisor” the buck gets passed off and you end up working with the same person you complained about and didn’t want to work with due to total incompetence (mortage side especially) On top of that the house has so many issues that it’s nearly laughable. First time opening my front door the trim fell off, which isn’t even one of the major issues. No one gets held accountable when nothing gets fixed or done either, so have fun spending a ton of your time and energy to get nowhere! If you get Lisa for your mortage, demand someone different as she can’t communicate for the life of her, even confusing my broker who’s done this for over 10 years. Due to her and her manager Erick’s lack of work ethic, integrity and honesty I had my close date moved back multiple times to the point I got my keys at 5pm on the last day of the month giving me 0 time to leave my rental property costing me hundreds of dollars ... Very bad business model. Quality control poor. Would not recommend!

Please don’t trust them They do not have integrity They say you can get another lender but if you do they will threaten you that you will not close on time to force your hand to come back to them. Very stressful closing process

I have a number of things that are wrong with the house and KBHome has yet to schedule anyone to fix items even though they have come by my house several times.

Check your build daily the contractors hired are unskilled labor

KB homes took 8 months longer to build that we were promised. The house was not ready at closing. We have been in our home two months and they still have not fixed anything. The workmanship is the worst I have ever experienced.

Craftsmanship was horrible. Moved in my house almost two months ago and touch up is still needed. Cabinets are not done. Horrible experience.

Horrible customer service from the construction Department warranty department sales man have no information On the rules and regulation of when you buy this home for the Hoa knows nothing about the construction just all-around horrible.

I would not recommend KB homes to anyone.

Home buying with KB is the most worst experience ever. Doors coming off the hinges, air vents installed backwards, Defective drywall, wrapped door frame. Home was never Cleaned on mover day, items that needed to be fix was lefted undone. I can go one put it's pointless.

Lacking construction experience and knowledge in the home building field to no one can do anything of what they promised at the time of closing they make it sound like your family and everything will be fixed but they can’t get their trades to come back and do any warranty work simple details get missed no one is ever available every one is either not in yet off or has gone home for the day or on vacation and no one is Available on weekends but yet they are sooooo behind very unhappy with the quality of the work for a brand new house Frank the kb construction rep is nooooo help at all kb is just empty promises I should have gone else where to purchase ... They said was getting the model home only bigger. It was jot the model home it was very different no shutters, no railway, no rock outside the house. So felt very mislead. The dryer wiring was done incorrectly, the house was dirty upon move in, grout still not done in some rooms. Outlets not working. They literally put the cheapest materials possible toilets seats brand new were sliding all over the place had to replace screws. Paint wad only one thin coat you barely bump it or wash it comes off and leaves a bare spot in the wall. Cabinets were unfinished in bathroom and kitchen. They promise they will get to it in a timely manner but never show up. Or text a few minutes before coming with no wchedule and say we are coming. The house was poorly built snd through together as fast as possible with little quality and charged top dollar. Issues still not fixed. Has been beyond frustrating i cannot reccomend kn homes to anyone. ... More

Definitely probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever dealt with, not a first time home buying process that I felt I’ve received/deserved. Cheap materials, lack of communication, no follow up, rushed process, items not completed, & I have questions to this day that still aren’t being answered or addressed. I would never purchase another home from this builder.

Home was in pathetic condition at close. Horrible finish. What's worse is they have now become very unresponsive to the problems. There are more builders out there who at least have a shred of integrity.

Nothing but lies to extremely poor construction. Never again with KB!
